Well considering that the next patch will be merging the Open Beta and Stable releases, it could very well be a major bug fix release. I wouldn't expect too much in terms of new features. That said, I am very much hoping that the MT version will include the Vulkan API.

For those that haven't seen the News article that was published on the DCS website last month, Wishful thinking, but I hope it will make an appearance in the upcoming update which will merge the OB and Stable releases.

You do not if you are using MT. ST, yes.

Unfortunately not. -
Refueling still seems broken. At least with the F/A-18.

Don't use OpenXR Toolkit. There's really no need for it. I have a G2 and only have OpenXR Tools for WMR (available from the Microsoft Store) installed.

I noticed this as well. The hose is shorter and it disconnects super easy. This started with the updated S-3 model. Definitely seems like a bug.

No prob. Should give you a few more fps. [emoji846] Sent from my SM-S908U using Tapatalk

I just watched it (2022) and couldn't find any reference either. Maybe I dreamed it or something, but I could have sworn there was a video (could have been a map or aircraft release too) posted by ED that said it was made using Vulkan. Sent from my SM-S908U using Tapatalk

I would turn SSLR off.

They have been working on it for a long time. If I remember correctly, the 2022 video was done with MT and Vulkan.
-
I've been wondering about that. I have a 11700K and do not have any of the issues that many are having.
-
I have OpenXR Tools for WMR installed (from the windows store). But I don't use SteamVR or the OpenXR toolkit. Don't even have it installed. I don't have any issues with this setup.

Do you have shadows turned on? Sent from my SM-S908U using Tapatalk

I could. I just don't mind launching from the Steam library. I read somewhere here that MT is now the default launch since 2.9, so I just figured that the desktop icon is now configured for that. Just something I was pointing out incase this was a minor bug. Sent from my SM-S908U using Tapatalk

I'll play more with it tomorrow. Including using different aircraft combinations. Sent from my SM-S908U using Tapatalk

No idea. I've only tried 2.9 in the Viper so far. The older modules may need some updated graphics tweaks to match the core, but that's way outside of my expertise. Sent from my SM-S908U using Tapatalk

The desktop icon still launches ST for me. Have to launch DCS from the Steam library to start in MT. Hope ED will drop ST entirely from OB soon. I honestly see no reason to keep ST around in OB anymore. Sent from my SM-S908U using Tapatalk

I was getting some grass shimmer with MSAA. None with DLSS or DLAA. I play in VR though, so I can't speak for monitor graphics. Sent from my SM-S908U using Tapatalk

It's well known at this point, so I'm sure there will be patches soon. I don't find the ghosting to be too bad though. Sent from my SM-S908U using Tapatalk

For me everything seems to be running good. Definitely smoother than 2xMSAA. DLAA with sharpness set all the way to the right, looks as good as DLSS set the same. Same performance too. The crop fields flicker with DLAA though. So I'm sticking with DLSS. I do notice a bit of scenery lag and some ghosting here and there, but I can live with it. Haven't tried TAA. SSS turned on. Don't remember if I had SSS turn on with DLAA to see if it made a difference with the flickering fields. I Have secondary shadows turned off, as well as the setting above it. Might turn those on too. Overall, very nice release. Well done ED. Can't wait for Vulkan now. Sent from my SM-S908U using Tapatalk
