So i ordered FC yesterday from simw.com. :) What mods are a need-to-get? What should i be aware of? How's hyperlobby doing? I used to fly with precog's x45 profile, is there an updated one? How long does the shipping normally take with simw (they state 24-48 hours). Yes im excited :)

I think there are two considerations. 1) internet speeds have a problem to facilitate 2-seat flying, it was possible in 1.0 (or beta) on lan. 2) there are more windows opened to cheating. I dont know how the trainer mode used to operate. It is theoretically possible to let a second client connect to a host client allowed on a ip based allow list. I presume however that this will put too much strain on the netcode. Dont forget that battlefield and lomac are different concepts in every aspect of the word.

Wine(x) is not an emulator. Besides, opengl is not the problem britgliderpilot, its the directx implementation. Look at all the fps games which run on opengl, they all run on linux aswell.

I think the mig21 is not as pretty as when i started on it. Now i prefer for a flyable sopwith camel with sticks of dynamite in the pilots backpack. :P
