  1. If im not mistaken are the Brazilian F5 not Canadair CF5 aircraft ? also does the refuel probe work to refuel or is it just for looks? and does this aircraft have ILS ? they did us dirty on the F5E from DCS by not giving us ILS lol all weather capability is important for an F5
  2. lol thats true, but ive talked to a few UH1 guys and the windshield wipers rarely get used, the windscreen is a plexi glass and they tend to scratch the windscreen up pretty good, side note i guess
  3. Hello all, i was going through the UH-1H, it still holds up as one of the best helicopters in my opinion. However its been years since it was worked on as far as i know. I was wondering if it would be possible to know if theres a future for the module at all or is it done and over with? as a fan of the Huey platform, it would be amazing to see the rest of the family as there isnt too many options when it comes to the basic models, Single engine UH-1H or D is already here, its doubtful theres many fans of the C models with the smaller interior however it would be cool to see. Regarding the future of the UH-1 module, maybe we could see a more modernized UH-1H with RWR, or we could get the UH-1N with the twin engines, yes it may have less overall power, however it was used all over the world, its great for Naval based operations, as well as SOF missions where you might lose an engine. It also has the ability to carry more sensors like RWR and missile detection. some even had terrain or weather radars onboard if im not mistaken. Then there is also the UH-1Y built on the 412 platform, ive seen both analog and glass cockpit versions, the RCAF just upgraded their CH146 Griffons (Bell 412) to the Glass cockpit from analog. As well as its also capable of carrying a different variety of modern sensors, the UH-1Y can even carry the APKWS rocket system, has onboard laser and FLIR systems, can operate with mini guns or GAU-21 50.cal MG, and they usually operate in tandem with the AH-1Z Viper attack helicopter. In DCS the AH-64D can fill that role for the time being, however the UH-1Y would make a great special operations helicopter, troop transport, reconnaissance, and AFAC. I hope people would recive this in a positive light, the UH-1H has served me well over the years as im sure it has all the fans of the module, it would just be nice for a modernization for the fans of either more modern helicopters, features, or even the other UH-1 style airframes. In Canada where I am from we used the Twin Huey as the CH135 for both Tac heli operations and for SAR, so the 1980s era twin huey is close to me personally. Thank you all for the read and I hope theres more people out there who would also love to see this @NineLine If it wouldnt be too much to ask what would your thoughts be on the future of the UH1 module ? would this be something we should be open to seeing or is this more of just a dream? I know not everyone in the world is a fan, but I am sure theres more then just me who would love this too. Is ED considering anymore to do with the Huey? If its aloud to be discussed I mean
  4. Ive made a few pretty decent liveries without using model viewer, it's harder, takes more time, it's frustrating. However if we don't have a choice, we don't have a choice. We were lucky we got model viewer in the first place, not only this, ED is a company that needs to protect it's assets. If it means we can't use modelviewer because it poses a risk, so be it. There would be nothing worse right now then for legal troubles to plague the DCS community even more. Its already been stated model viewer is something they would like to see returned, but holding ED "hostage" by dividing the community like this isn't going to just hurt them, it will hurt all of us too. 2025 is supposed to be a great year and only time will tell, I for one am very excited for it. If you want to participate, do it, if you don't, don't. The Razbam situation has already caused too much drama we don't need this too guys. We all have a common goal, to see DCS be the best it can be.
  5. are we going to get Russian and Chinese Infantry ? like with AK74Ms and AK12s and Type 95s
  6. can someone help me figure out the texture editing for this ? i edited the nose section in gimp and exported it to the livery i wanted to use but it still shows up default green, then i copied the last bit of the lua with all the 212 412 stuff added it in and then there was no texture at all, can someone help me figure out whats going wrong here ? im just trying to make some UH1N and Ch146 liveries
  7. have you seen Tanukis MH60R submod for the UH60L mod? he has an amazing CSAR that actually functions with a working hoist, rescue swimmer, etc, not invisible either you actually get to see everything being done, you should see about asking him to add it to your huey model, the only reason the function doesnt exist for DLC helicopters like the UH1H or Mi8 is because the system needs access to the model itself which we all know ED models are locked up, but i think it would be a great addition, here in canada we used the UH1H as the CH118 Iroquois, and used it for SAR until it started being phased out by the CH135 twin hueys and the CH113 Labradors, it would be pretty cool to use these functions with the classic "Ch118", these pics are of his MH-60R with a fictional canadian livery im still making, i tried my best to show the hoist and rescue swimmer etc, you can even do practice sessions where you drop the swimmer in the water and he swims off and will radio you when hes done to hoist him back up, i figured id mention it i know id love to do some SAR in the huey
  8. so... the KA52 mod turns your blackshark 3 into a KA52 like they use nowadays, can you make this an overlay of the existing kiowa and give it older weapons like the rocket pods and minigun ? this would be a great cold war era kiowa mod, the RCAF used ones just like this and many other countries did as well
  9. ^the livery above is based roughly, and very roughly on the CH113 Labrador, would be nice if someone could design a better livery for it though
  10. i dont know if its possible but can you try and give us a real UH-1N/212 or even a 412 (like the UH-1Y/CH146 Griffon) thats been on my bucket list since the huey came out, i have the 212/412 look alike mod but itd be nice to have the actual model and maybe even a functioning second engine, im not sure if the griffon/412 has an apu but that might even be an option too
  11. Actually, the Su25, as well as the Su17, Su22, Su24, Su30, and Mig27 can all carry the KH59, in combination with the APK-9 Datalink pod, however the VVS only ever fielded the missile on the Su24M, but, yes, the Su25 can carry the Kh59 Right now im working on getting the KH31A and P, KH25MR, KH35, KH59, all working on the T, as well as TV and laser guided munitions like the KAB1500KR
  12. Well to be fair Nicosia international only operates as a helo base for the UN, if you knew about the invasion, you'd know that the heaviest fighting in the whole conflict happened around Nicosia and Nicosia international, it was bombed and assaulted numerous times by the turks, and ontop of that, has not been maintained ever since, there is no facility there technically for fuel, I'm not sure how the UN fuel they're helicopters but I'm sure it's not with the original stores of the airport. Not only all this, but Nicosia international is still a bit of a sensitive subject for some, especially those from Cyprus. Cyprus may have been before a lot of our times, however its still a serious conflict that is ongoing to this day, lots of peoples lives were torn up and many people parished including 28 Canadian Peacekeepers
  13. Please keep us updated, I've been telling everyone how good cold war is getting in DCS, but analyzing the assets we have, we truly are lacking a lot of REDFOR, especially good cold war Soviet assets, the YAK 38 and Kiev class carriers are going to be amazing, i know im going to love them, with the MiG23 coming, this will make 1980s DCS perfect. all we'll need at that point is a high fidelity KA27
