I'm pretty sure that no pilot will decide in a merge that he'll get slow to explore his superior high AoA regime. Because that is a bad choice. Rate kills, and that means staying in close proximity to corner speed. In BFM the guy with higher energy state in neutral positions will -always- have the advantage, no matter what. Sustained use of +25 or so units AoA will decrease the speed of the aircraft FAST, and that means loss of vertical maneouvring and loss of rate. And loss of options. oh, and not exactly my poem..:)

I flew some hours with FSX trying to get into grips with the helicopters, simply because i have never flown them in any PC sim before.. that did help a lot, so when i did get my hands on the Ka-50, i didn't need to think about every single control input as much anymore.. (...though sometimes i do wish i had thought about them a little more...)

I saw that the correct amount had been withdrawn from my CC account fairly quickly after the action. My guess is that it just takes some time for cyberplat to confirm the payment to qpig.
