Hey Harm, No it's not possible. The only way that's similar that I know of is to have it based on the status of the client aircraft at mission start (or whatever time interval you want) using separate units. So, as an example I have a mission that has different enemy units spawn depending on if there is a human F-15 pilot or an AI F-15. 2 F-15s are placed on the map (Client version and AI). Trigger goes like: if someone is in the client f-15 at mission start then option A decision/trigger tree starts but if nobody is then option B decision/trigger tree starts. Probably a much more elegant solution just using lua, but I'm a scripting moron.

Good catch, thx

Small update to our server. The blue tanker has been moved so as not to be so close to the red objective area. Also, we have set up a Teamspeak server. Information is updated in the original post. TS3 Server 71.119.124.108 password: "dcs"

Ok, thanks gents. I'll give it a whirl tomorrow.

Hi thanks, Windows 7 64 bit - using 64bit TS3 server and client I am trying to connect on 71.119.124.108:9987 I am unable to connect on the same machine or through LAN or over larger interwebs. I have the server set up with a "dcs" password atm.

I have been trying to set up a free teamspeak server for my DCS server, but can't get it to work and am looking for some help. I've followed the instructions from the teamspeak and portforwarding sites on how to do it and what ports to open etc. Server has: - static IP - windows firewall off (in an attempt to get it to work) - three ports open and verified open - and the TS3 server has been accessed and set up on the host machine Does anyone have any advice?

Yeah, it's fairly similar to the one you guys are running

Thanks Blooze, I really appreciate the info.

Hello all, I'm pleased to announce that VTAG is opening up it's server to the public. The public server mission is much different than our in house operations. This is to foster competitive play in a more realistic setting while keeping a less complicated mission that will be more stable and enjoyable for all. Here are the basics: Novo VS Maykop. Each side has a kill box in the center of the combat area plus infrastructure near the enemy's airfield. Once all three objectives are destroyed, a winner is declared, and the mission will restart about 5 minutes later. Regular status updates will notify the player of the overall situation. Because of the differences between coalition equipment, different tactics will likely be used by the sides. Also, some "sim-ism" disparity has been compensated for without breaking the gameplay via different mechanisms. External views disabled. Fog of war. Coalition specific equipment. Some restrictions on weaponry to foster better gameplay (only SARH missiles for CAP and in restricted numbers, restricted numbers of mavericks and vikhers, etc) Protected refueling operations for Blue. Enforced. No Taxiway takeoffs. Enforced via scripts. Dynamic Wx. Aircraft: Blue: A-10C x6, SU-25A x2 (Georgian partners), F-86 x4, F-15C x2 (Only 2...once destroyed gone forever), UH-1H x8. Red: SU-25T x8, Mig-21Bis x4, SU-27 x2 (Only 2...once destroyed gone forever), KA-50 x4, Mi-8 x4. This is new for us and thus the mission is very simple at present. I'm sure the mission will evolve over time with a possibility of new content to come assuming stress tests are passed. Any feedback is appreciated and will be considered. See you in the skies ~ TS3 Server 71.119.124.108 password: "dcs"

It's members only atm sorry.

You can check out our server VTAG. I recently changed it to a public mission and it has red v blue with the appropriate equipment on each side. External views off...restricted taxi speeds to prevent taxiway takeoffs...some limitations on weaponry (No spamramming or flying a hawg with 32 Mavs or 25Ts with vikhers, etc.). It's new and will likely evolve, but it might be up your alley. VTAG

Last Bump I promise :) Is this really not possible?! It has to be coded somewhere!

Thanks. I didn't know about the excellent setting making a difference. Good info all around. I'm making a mission that I want only 1 long range sam site per side as part of the objectives (multiplayer), so I'm stuck with Patriot and SA-10, based on placement and ranges. I think I can make it work though. Cheers
-
Hey guys, I'm having trouble balancing missions with red vs blue weapon systems. The SA-10 system shoots down EVERYTHING. It takes a large effort to bring one down...that's not the problem. The Patriot system shoots down NOTHING. One KH-58U gets through and kills it without problem. What do you guys do to balance this disparity out? Thanks ~

I love this grey color. Thanks!

Neither do I or many others. Belsimtek, there is a huge pool of seething anger building over your products. I really hope you guys right this ship before people stop buying on principal alone. I love the F-86 so this is disappointing. :(

No no, I want to change what colors you cycle through with RCtrl + H. You know, like replace one of the reds for a turquoise or something like that.
-
Is it possible to change the default select-able colors on the FC3 aircraft? I've searched around in the folder structures but I can't find any lua for it like you can in the A-10C.
-
Looks great! also...

Not to be too pessimistic, but there's been zero response on this from ED. There has been zero action taken to even fix things broken in the Georgian map and it's been like 10 years or something. I too have this problem and want a fix... ...but don't hold your breath. ED doesn't care.

^ what he said. It's actually very realistic. Lots of weight on a small surface area (the tire). Typically aircraft that are designed to land in austere environments have very large and underinflated tires. Or they have a large amount of tires to increase surface area. Same goes for landing in open fields. The smallest obstruction can cause really bad things to happen when trying to land on something other than an approved surface not to mention that the only fields that are plausible for a non-catostrophic event are the farmer's fields and even then it is no guarantee. I believe the standard procedure is to eject instead of crash land. Also, make sure you crash land gear up if trying to. Gear down is guaranteed death...although you get points for the gymnastic display that will surely ensue. :) And all that being said, I agree...it's annoying in game, but I still don't want it changed.

I'm interested in what you find. My server has had unexplained crashes and odd behavior recently as well.

There's already a desert flight suit in the dcs folder structure somewhere. I used it for a skin I made for the F-15. I'm sorry, but I don't remember where exactly off hand.
