  1. The great thing about a 1960s setting (in my opinion), is that basically everything has a chance. Most fights are determined purely by who spots the other first. The speed alone of the F104 will allow it to choose when it engages, and let it GTFO instead of dogfighting.
  2. That's your issue. Currently, the F16 is the only aircraft which requires you to boresight your AGM-65s if you intend to use TGP handoff. You don't need to boresight your mavericks if you are using BORE/VIS mode.
  3. Might be a redundant question, but have you boresighted your mavericks? You need to do that on every F16 cold start if you want to use TGP handoff.
  4. Do you mind elaborating on what each component of this equation refers to? Especially knowing at least a part of it appears to be written in Russian, which many of us don't speak. Also in an assumption that this equation is relevant to the effective range of a warhead against specific aircraft, I personally don't see how would this educate us about how proximity fuses are programmed on specific missiles?
  5. Most airfields in DCS should have some static trucks in which you can boresight mavs to
  6. My goodness, what an idea! Why didn't I think of that!
  7. TMS down is only for vertical scan, or entering NO RAD state when currently in an ACM mode. (Screenshot from page 348 of the latest manual version) If this does not line up with that is happening to you in DCS, please upload a .trk file.
  8. I'm not sure what you mean by toggle? Do you mean that the HUD goes back to the NO RAD state whenever you're in any ACM mode and press TMS aft? To my knowledge this is intentional, and its always been like this.
  9. Yeah, but its not as funny killing ships in the Viggen as it is with the C101
  10. I'm assuming when you say external tanks, you mean the underwing bags? As you only need CAT III for A2G ordinance or wing bags.
  11. I was being careful about maneuvering too much because the AIM-9B is obviously quite easy to outmaneuver. Before this update, the amount of flares i deployed would have been absolutely overkill in any situation. Your video definitely does show the 9B falling for flares, however at 0:41 i think there *may* be a possibility of you maneuvering too hard and exiting the 9Bs seeker FOV and then just tracking flares normally. I am not an expert with the 9B obviously.
  12. Here is a .trk file of an AI F4 shooting an AIM-9B at a player controlled F16 spamming flares while in a gentle turn. 9B_FLARE_NOEFFECT.trk
  13. Just did a few tests with an AI F-5E shooting a 9B. It will consistently still hit when you are manually dumping flares as fast as possible in the F16 using afterburner while doing a very slow turn.
  14. You cant slew in SP mode, however by using TMS UP or TMS RIGHT, you can enter point/area track which will allow you to slew.
  15. No real point reinstalling DCS when you can just do a slow repair and cleanup
  16. The method i personally use to boresight mavs when on the ground is to just enter SP mode and then immediately enter either a point or area track to enable slewing of the TGP in front of me.
  17. Don't think there is any DCS guide showing what every individual fuze does, however you can definitely google them if you can be bothered. Typically i just use the default fuzing because for 99% of engagements in DCS, it does the job.
  18. For some reason at least for me you did not drop a bomb in this track. However i manually took over the track right before the bomb was meant to be released and it tracked perfectly for me.
  19. No worries. You will need to manually press the MFD CZ button in order to CZ with other sensors.
  20. Courtesy of the official manual. When TGP is SOI'd and in INR mode (Not in Point/Area track), TMS aft will command CZ. This is only for the TGP.
  21. As Bremspropeller stated earlier. Manual Pitch Override is implemented, and you can do some funny stuff with it. Holding the Manual Pitch Override switch gives the pilot manual control of the Elevators and removes the negative G-Limit when held. There is no practical use to this switch when you are operating within your aircrafts flight envelope.
  22. F16_BORE_ISSUE.trk I have discovered that the F16 using the BORE ACM mode is unable to lock targets outside of 10NM, despite range being set to 40 and the HSD confirming the scan zone of 40NM. This issue has persisted among several tests under different conditions.
  23. About a month ago i had reported virtually the exact same issue as this in the F-16C to a member of the CBT team. I had since tested to see if this was an issue on another ED aircraft. As the title states, the hornets TOT function does not show the required grounspeed to reach a steerpoint at a selected time if that time is the next day in zulu time. I am not that knowledgable with the hornet, so i would like somebody who knows more about this aircraft to confirm this is indeed an issue with the aircraft, and not just my user error. Top image shows the HSI with a TOT of 23:59:59 Lower image shows the HSI with a TOT of 00:00:01
