Yes, in the past development previews said cable was modelled. It's probably just a PITA to animate properly with the movements. EDIT: For comparison, the non-HMCS HGU-55 version in the Viper is pretty spot on and does not have said issue.
-
Well, it likely is easier to use the SA page than the B-scope. Real jet should be able to L&S anything that is a track, even with no ownship radar or sensors.

Timestamp?

It's probably harder to animate. Hope this is one of the WIP bits.

Thank you for the headsup and the previews look great as always. The main reason people are upset is because before and after release Q1 2024 was supposed to have wrapped up Phase 3 and even 4 and the map be out of EA. Now we are almoszt in June 2024 with 0 updates since release. Thus the frustration. I still think Sinai has the potential to become the best DCS map so far.

Show me an example used by the USAF. Not ontop like this. It's simply wrong, period. I could also go into how the hose is too long on the pilot model and harness is wrong as well as JHMCS connector cable completely missing from the back.

Any update on Supercarrier being updated
Viper33 replied to Tomcat388th's topic in DCS: Supercarrier
Tomcat simply isn't compatible with the SC still. It causes too many issues with cats and clearence. -
They are but the velcro patch is copied over from the Hornet. It should not be there is the point I am trying to get across. Please consult any of your USAF SME's.

So, surely we'll be seeing some significant SC additions within the next 6 weeks, right? -
Basically, looks like ED copied over the Hornet helmet to the Viper. For USAF there should not be a velcro patch on the top of the helmet. Would also be neat to have the JHMCS cable modelled from the back of the helmet. Also be cool to change that blue felt patch above the visor as that's usually now how it looks. Other than that mostly a great improvement to the Viper.

Yeah it is clear the developer has missed the projected development targets by a landslide. The map was supposed to be finished and out of EA by Q1 at the very latest. So far we have not received any updates in almost a year. Would really like to see refunds beind handed out.

Could you forward this directly to the 3D/art developers? Thanks. Was already done for the soviet missiles in terms of new models. Why not correct and improve the most widely used western ones now?

already implemented When will the speed gate for the APG-73 be implemented?
Viper33 replied to DSplayer's topic in DCS: F/A-18C
It doesnt. Lock a target in STT and make it do a 180 turn or go cold. Lock drops. Same with co-speed. -
F-4E Phantom II Development Update and Release Delay Announcement
Viper33 replied to IronMike's topic in DCS: F-4E Phantom
Where did I say DCS was an investement? Don't put words in my mouth. Let me give you an example - if I go to a restaurant and the food isn't good or worth the money I simply won't go there again. If I oder a pizza and it never arrives I am at the very least going to call the place and ask where it is. If you are fine with getting nothing for the money you throw at companies that's your own problem. Were people also making a mountain out of a mole-hill when they asked for a release date back in April and March when it was also unclear whether the Winter/March 31st deadline would be upheld? Surely everyone is simply overreacting with this module only for no reason whatsoever. -
F-4E Phantom II Development Update and Release Delay Announcement

Because they can't provide any constructive and factual counterarguments to said evidence. So they resort to "stop complaining" and ad hominem attacks. I understand that baseless complaining is annoying but this is far from baseless and like you said, you provided examples and factual evidence from the past to back up your claims. If people are willing to see a preorder like throwing away money (great financial decision by the way) and are ok with that then other can ask simple questions whether something is delayed or not. Most people experienced enough with DCS and software releaess already knew that the Phantom would be delayed back in April, yet the same people defended HB stating that March 31st will for sure be the date. It's almost a perpetual cycle. -
F-4E Phantom II Development Update and Release Delay Announcement

It wouldn't be this way if this wasn't an established business model and people weren't ok with it. It's almost as if in the modern day people want to get taken advantage of and be nickle and dimed by large corporations. If my company fails to deliver important components on time under a contract, guess what I lose the contract and in some cases pay the damages / additional development costs resulting from said failure to deliver critical components. This. If you don't like hard questions or the not so pretty facts you can just also go do something else or close this section of the forums. No one is forcing you to look at the screen or holding you hostage to read these topics. It's almost as if these people are only waiting for someone to "complain" so they can comlain about the fact people are complaining on an internet forum. Truly crazy times we live in where this is a worthwhile spending of someone's time. I do think there would be much less complaining (one way or the other) if developers were simply transparent and honest with their customers about the state of development. The constant ambiguity and constantly missed targets don't exactly help to build trust. There is a reason larger companies hire dedicated project management and PR teams. And remember, this is a very niche game development - there is absolutely no reason why DCS developers would be required to be secretive about certain details and aspects of their development cycles. There's no market espionage and this isn't a classified ordeal. Just my two and a half cents and I do hope for you all that the Phantom releases sooner rather than later so this can be a thing of the past and both the developers and the community can move on to better and greater things. -

Because it's what they have done in the past. It may be less so lying rather than not keeping your word/promise. Remember the early 14A? 14 out of EA by 2023? A-6 AI this summer? List goes on. -

TLDR? -
What happened to the fog that was shown off 3 years ago?
-
It has been almost 4 years, any news on that front?

Wish every module had a visor like Razbam's jets.

Any update on Supercarrier being updated
Viper33 replied to Tomcat388th's topic in DCS: Supercarrier
Yeah, when will we see any substantial updates for the SC? We've been told for a year now that updates are coming but outside of minor fixes there have been no quality of life stuff or planned features for the SC. -
But the pre-EA roadmap is not complete yet? I'd realy like to soon see the radar phase 3 stuff and MSI improvements as well as new lights before it's pushed out of EA.
