Thank you for saying this. Agree 100%.

Since a lot of the lesser used missiles and assets (such as bombs) have been receiving model updates and soon color options, I'd like to request the AIM-9M and X (to an extent the L as well) to receive the same treatment. Most impotantly the color of the current -9 M model and the Block I 9X we have is simply wrong and should follow the same color and marking scheme as the AMRAAM and 7F/M/P Sparrow. Mainly FS 36375. As those missiles are some of the most commonly used missiles on the most widely used DCS modules/jets I think they are really overdue for an update as currently having the 70's and 80's style white Sidewinders on the 2000's grey jets really is out of place and sticks out like a sore thumb on the otherwise highly detailed airplane modern jet models. Should be an easy and quick task for ED given how much work and attention to detail they have invested into more exotic missiles like the Kh-29T and 25L. As for the 9L, there should basically be two version to pick from, high viz and low viz as well as several different motors for the L and M, all with different smoke intensity.

Last day of February today and 20 days left for winter 2023/24. Given there is no date, live, unedited gameplay or a Steam preorder this does not look promising.

Please don't make my sim freeze whenever I merge with a F-4 like is the case with the Tomcat.
-
Right now the F-14 is probably the closest era-specific contemporary. F-4E might be too but it will be far inferior with the APQ-120.

Make it a Super while we're at it.

I mean we haven't actually seen one in any of the previews, just an empty cockpit. So unless the devs confirm or show one I'd rather not expect it.

Expectation on Air to Air missiles of the MiG-29A?
Viper33 replied to pepin1234's topic in DCS: MiG-29A Fulcrum
No, they still have large stockpiles but it's the same missile. There are no differences to the Ukrainian built version. -
21 badly needs an update once the F4U is out the door.

Expectation on Air to Air missiles of the MiG-29A?

There are no new parts. They can be refublished but that is it. New parts = R-77-1. -
JF-17 has it so I don't see why not. Also I want Jester to yell "TURN THE HEAT OFF" if you mismanage the ECS.

For the German stuff you could easily use fallbacks and only have a different fuselage aft section that changes the number. Similar techniques can be used for others.

Because each RWR database is programmed to how the customer or operator needs it. So two identical RWR units can have different indications for different radars across different countries/operators. The 29 indication in other jets for both the Fulcrum and Flanker is also completely wrong as those two radars are very different and operate on different frequencies. May just be leftovers from FC3 days.
-
Not to mention that on the Winwing F-15E throttle they messed up the radar elevation axis and made it a slider instead of a spring loaded return to center axis like in the real thing. Don't understand why companies sell something as "replica" but don't do the required research or add their own stuff to it.

I did not mean the seeker mechanics but simply 3D model and textures. Again, like was done last year with R-27 and recently with the R-60.
-
Yup, usually if a plane is kept running there is no need for extensive re-checks as most systems are up and running. No different to aerial refueling in that regard. Of course you'd take a general look for open panels and hatches or potential FOD/BD.
-
Will you update older missile models like the AIM9M/X and similar like you did with the R-60, R-73 and R-27 this year? Currently, especially the older AIM9 models stick out like a sore thumb on the newer modules. Mostly the 9X and M.

That GPU truck sure would be nice to have with a new model.

Not well at all. -

Yeah DCS numbers may be compensating for how thigns work in the game itself. Will be interesting to see the rework or have more info on it.
