Yeah, I know we had to keep him alive, one rocket run to disturb the DShK and Kord was all I asked of him.. having used our Hellfires (I would have hit the AA and one of the technicals first but the comms said hit the HMMW , so I did in case it failed the mission). And yeah we watched back on Tacview, we drew all the fire from both so he could run in and he wasn't hit .. he just stuffed it in to the ground...... and the less said about the end of Mission 5 on the return flight.. the better
  3. MIssion 4 went great until Ethan ran in with rockets on the convoy after we had expended our 2x Hellfire on the HMMV and the BIG AAA , fired a rocket and promptly turned into a hill.. insta-fail... poop

Get to sit IN loads of cold war jet cockpits, see some truly historic aircraft , and climb into our full reproduction lancaster cockpit, (all original equipment, the frame is new build from Avro drawings)..   7. OOOh, we've been moved , OK.. just flew from Utersen ( North Hamburg) and tried two MGRS grids to the North, one in what looks like hi def and one further north. Both worked fine for me, 1st being 32 U NE 4338 5667, a railway station in Elmshorn, and the second is just north of 2 little lakes in what looks pretty unpopulated map wise at 32 U NE 4281 8858.. Where are those in relation to where you were trying @MatzWarhog.. and just to check, you were hitting enter at the end of the POS line before hitting Store ? ( sorry if it's a dumb question).. if you don't it will Store as present position.
  8. Cool, I flew some more in the Fulda gap with similar success, waypoints also worked for me around Berlin and up around Peenemunde, though I didn't input MGRS there.. I'll test later too. TJ

I've tested the KW in both the developed (hi def) area of the map.. in various spots, and the waypoints are fine and I've been able to add MGRS prepoint targets (EG : 32 U NB 4575 0040, a playing field in a college next to the airfield at Fulda) and they seem to function correctly... I also put some waypoints out in the undeveloped (lo def) area (the Mohnesee area) and although the helipad was fine, as I went off the edge waypoints went VERY strange... so it seems the developed area is "ok" for this. Or I've been lucky in the areas in which I've flown.. Where were you @MatzWarhog ? TJ
  10. First impressions, it's good LOW down and pretty gorgeous from altitude. First thing I did was fly out of Q West in the KW, nothing placed on the map and just stooging along in Scout Brain mode spotted a collection of random cars parked together in the boonies. instantly pulled round to check them out. If an "empty" (as in no resources placed by me) can spark that kind of response, I'm sold. Second thing I did was fly round Baghdad and take the KW under the swords.. If I'm honest, I think it's the law.. Liking it so far

  16. Hi, Just to let you know I've posted our "Pink Team" co-op multiplayer mission to "user files".. Designed for 1 gazelle and 1 hind to work together to escort and defend a convoy against insurgent attack, ambushes and IEDs. It's based on the Pink Team concept developed in Vietnam of the OH-6 Loach Scout (white) and AH-1G Cobra (Red) working together to provide scouting and overwatch cover. It is possible to change the helos in the mission, we've included detailed documentation explaining what can be changed and how. The mission is designed to give a balanced spread of spawned encounters so that you always get several encounters, but you won't accidentally encounter everything at once.   20. I mean, from a UK point of view, if we don't have this livery (and serial) then we've missed a huge trick. ZA718 - BN - Bravo November. The pre-release mentions the Chinook serving in the Falklands... during the actual conflict, only one Chinook survived the sinking of Atlantic Conveyer...ZA718
  21. I've been Open Beta the whole time until the merge and am experiencing the exact same issue, all assignable except Trim Nose Down. DCS up to date to last week hotfix : 2.9.4.53627 Will try .53707 later
  22. as mentioned by @Spetz above, the landing light on the Lima does not illuminate the ground at all. Tested all three variants (attached external views of Lima and Mike, night, Mount Pleasant, South Atlantic map) It's a small thing, but it was an issue for me recently
