Same here. I tried different keybinds, and LCtrl+C,and nothings works. I can only close/open the canopy with a mouse click. The keybind for that used to work.

Very cool....I hadnt seen that... In my minds eye I see a Mig21 upgrade/re-mastered release countdown, lol. But VERY excited about the Corsair and the whole extension of DCS WW2. -
Thank you for pointing me in the right direction. I did mess up the F1CE axis settings for TrackIR. .The forums are one of the great features of DCS.
-
Just getting going on the F1,and I just cant solve why TrackIR works perfectly for the F1 EE and F1 BE,but not on the F1 CE.........Any help would be great.
-
I think DCS should just drop everything, and get a P-38 done.

Seems real quiet,on the support of this map. I always buy a module etc. when I can see that there is active work being done on a product and even when the product may be buggy, or not working right. I dont see the support here-- and thats with a good sale happening right now. Holding off on my purchase.

Yes,that is helpful.I am going to have a look at how I can eliminate any resistance in the pedal movement. Good to know that yours work smoothly.Thanks.
-
Great that you got the rudder pedals fixed. I also use the Saitek pedals, and so far, they have been very reliable. But I dont really like 'em,lol. I am curious, since you had them apart, did you try any lubrication or something to get the pedal movements smooth? Mine are incapable of fine movements-which is why I dont like them.

Evenes is indeed on my Kola map. Thanks.

Ok... The email I had received from Orbx, dated May 1st,said"New Kola Update".... I probably have it already.. No version number given though.
-
Is the latest Kola update just waiting on the next DCS update??
-
Thanks. Sounds really useful. I look at a 2TB SSD as minimal now.. I can see myself filling that to capacity in the near future. And all I have on my SSD right now is DCS and IL2.....

Awesome post,zero_Crash.....very helpful. It is easy to get sloppy with the trim and you have identified my issue I think. Generally I do ok with the Mig21,but now recognize that being out of trim sneaks up on me. And being mindful of that 9 litre tank(only 9 litres?!!...You would think they could have put a bigger tank in,lol),is good advice. Thanks!

Thanks Rudel....I am now able to mitigate the shut-downs with this knowledge, but I sure need to be careful. And shutdowns occur usually,of course,in the middle of a dogfight...
-
Yes that seems to be it. Ham-fisted pilot is the cause. ...although the Mig 21 is a little bit sensitive on this. But as long as I was more careful with the negative G's,I dont seem to get the shut downs so far. Thanks Volator and thanks Rudel.
-
I am having a great time learning the Mig 21. So far just SP,making my own missions etc. What is the cause of the constant engine spool downs/shut downs?? Every time I fly I get this random and unpredictable problem. I almost always get an in flight re-start,but not always. I must be missing something. Thanks!

Really great to see this map added to DCS. Huge download size: ColdWar Germany-205 GB Caucasus -16.6 GB I just transferred DCS to a new 1TB SSD....but I knew at the time that I shouldve gone for more storage, lol.

Great to know that you will be back to continue the MIG 21 training series. I am also looking forward to being able to use Kola for the series eventually.

Well the "Save Mission" addition is an exciting feature that was hoping would make DCS more playable/practical. The biggest buzz-kill in the game is investing the time in a mission, then having to start all over again on the bits you have gotten through already multiple times. The "Save Mission" button is missing the "Save Mission" part. But I am glad that this seems to be recognized as a must for the future of the game.I am pretty confident the programmers will figure it out so that when you click "Save Mission",that is just what it does.DCS must be far more complicated than other games... In fact I cant imagine not having a save game feature in other games.

Excellent. I may get the Sinai map on the current sale anyway....but Kola looks great for the MIG 21 and of course the Viggen. Thanks!

Is it an option to port your MIG 21 training missions over to the Kola map?

Thanks for posting these images etc. Really interesting history. The Dora is a favourite for me....and the P38 in IL2
-
Excellent. I just did a mission with your upgraded D9 cockpit. I like it it alot better than the original. (Your K4 too)The black leather actually makes quite a difference for me. Good work.
-
Same for me as well. I just couldnt get the file to work any other way. Your D9 Dora cockpit re-work looks great. THANKS! I am curious if anyone knows what the actual leather colour was... I have seen shades of brown and shades of grey, but am wondering what the actual historical leather colour was.
