  1. It's funny that apart from prototype copies, no other item was produced in CCCP. I'm very curious how "Michałek" would work on the server. Which version would be most often used?
  2. LOL. A pipe dream. I would like the Mi-2 to appear in DCS, but I am a realist. I think that's enough now as it's gone off-topic.
  3. I wish you success in fighting armored weapons. No armor, no speed, range of 9M14 is 3 km, guided manually. Mi-2 is only suitable for training missions on the range.
  4. I keep writing about the Mi-2. The Mi-24 is still quite a good helicopter, provided you use it wisely. Proven tactics: hit and run. In DCS I encountered AA operations on the Mi-24 for the first time. Congratulations on shooting down the enemy.
  5. The only role he is suitable for is flight training and liaison duties, provided there is no enemy in the area.
  6. Please give me a sensible example of what role the Mi-2 would be good at in DCS. I think only as a fun-copter. For me personally, that would be enough. But is that an argument to add it to the game?
  7. It seems to me that An-12 would be a better equivalent of the C-130. Both planes have similar characteristics. IL-76 could be a response to C-17. I doubt that we would ever get any of these aircraft. As for the Mi-2. Unfortunately, it is "blind" just like the Mi-24. The electronics of the avionics of western competitors eliminates them from the modern battlefield. Hence, Mi-2 would not work in DCS. Unfortunately.
  8. It's a shame that no one noticed one very striking thing. This contest is biased. It primarily promotes equipment made in the USA, especially jets. I've seen many better shots in this thread that deserve at least a mention and there was no American equipment there. Congratulations to the winners.
  9. I have the impression that you described a manual that I have already read.
  10. Thank you for your good intentions. I appreciate it. I have no problem using the Mi-24. I am curious about the information that will be in the manual and I wanted to compare it with my knowledge. I compare the Mi-24 module with a real helicopter.
  11. Is there anything known or has anything moved on this topic?
  12. When communicating with ATC, selecting message F1 switches the radio station selector from R-863 (UK1) to NF (UK2). Is it just me or has anyone else encountered this?
  13. Ok. I didn't understand your statement in the previous post. The translation is faulty. English is not my language. It translated cartridge as "nabój" (ammunition), not a "kaseta z flarami" cartridge (flare cassette).
  14. I don't know what you're talking about. What cartridges, what switching? HappyVoo asked, if I understood correctly, to add the use of ASO from the pilot's cockpit. I was looking for this myself once, because it's not clearly named in the settings. Now I have no problem with it. I start the helicopter and use it when I need it. The only thing I ask Petrovitch to do is set the sequence or set from which side the ASO should shoot. Why complicate things. ps. One more small detail, ASO-2W is started electrically, 27V.
  15. In the options you'll find it as Launch Countermeasures (left side panel). By default it seems to be assigned to insert/delete.
  16. Yes. I turn off YAW before takeoff (I do the same in Mi-8), I only turn it on when I have a set flight course and I know it will be a longer route. 1 - To fly straight, you have to counteract the drag pedals slightly, so that the ball (turn & slip indicator) is in the middle. Otherwise, you will fly with a slight traverse.
  17. You set the helicopter position you need, press the trimmer. You can make minor corrections using the mushroom on the stick (trimming). With the trimmer on, you can still use the control stick. If you want the new position to be remembered, press the trimmer again. The second function, as the name suggests, is used to set the trimmer to a neutral position. Generally, the trimmer (button) was used on long flight routes so that the pilot would not get tired. During takeoff or landing, or for minor corrections during maneuvers, the mushroom on the stick is used.
  18. I have several instructions/documents I look at when I have any doubts. I will also gladly know your work.
  19. I will only add that during flight along the route at cruising speed (260 km/h), the helicopter is tilted from about -5° to even -10°, which also causes a change in the wing pitch. A few paragraphs earlier in the same instructions, we have it stated that the wing relieves the main rotor by 21-23% at the inlet at cruising speed and the maximum permissible speed.
  20. Amazing. After two years. Data for Mi-24D, where there is no division into left and right wing: -Wing angle relative to the horizontal fuselage mounting: 19°. -Transverse V of the wing: 12°. Below is the table: Dependence of lift (Cz sk) and drag (Cx sk) coefficients on the angle of attack (α sk). Document: Mi-24A and Mi-24D helicopter, Practical aerodynamics.
  21. My Polish pilots will now be complete. I changed the notepad to make it more useful and the watch face to one used in the Polish army. Regards
  22. Hello again. I decided to go a step further. I'm still wondering if it's possible to edit faces in the cockpit view? Regards
