  1. First of all, you never have a guarantee of hitting your target. It's expensive to fire at a target area with rockets. It's more intimidating, psychological warfare, and if you happen to hit something, you can only celebrate. Simply put, you need to know the effective range of the rockets and calculate the distance to the target from which you should fire the salvo. Raising the nose improves the rockets' trajectory. They don't lose altitude as quickly. They fly in a parabolic pattern instead of a flat plane. In real life, there are also corrections for atmospheric conditions, but I suspect you don't need to do that in DCS. So, for example, the rockets' range is 4km, you check the map for a 4km circle from the target. You fly on course to the target, arrive at firing range, raise the nose slightly 30°, and fire. Mission accomplished. ps. Watch your speed and nose lift so as not to fall.
  2. There's just one small problem: refunds can be made in the ED store, but how will this be handled on Steam?
  3. I agree with you. The cartographer works very well, especially on maps with two zoom levels. The Mi-24 was intended to be a simple tool, without any frills. Among older colleagues, it was common practice to draw the flight route on a map to reinforce the habit. Paper was the most important thing. As the era of the first Germins began, I saw fewer and fewer young pilots with a map, navigation slider, and pencil in hand. Just a small digression.
  4. I'm sorry, but the words just come to mind. "By their fruits you will recognize them." Best regards
  5. I think you misunderstood me. Unfortunately, English isn't my native language, and I have to use a translator, which probably doesn't convey the meaning of what I'm saying. I'm trying to say that I have the impression, the feeling of being disregarded when it comes to comments and observations regarding the Mi-24. For example, how long the topic of the official manual or the green light on the R-828 radio has been going on. These are just two of the most common examples. I hope it's clear now. I'm writing only on my own behalf, although I have the feeling I'm not alone here. Thank you
  6. Thank you for your reply. What you're writing about is called censorship, or as many prefer, moderation. What I wrote about is: we'll write whatever we want, and users should leave us alone. Thanks
  7. I've already written this in another thread, and I'll repeat it here. The amount of work and improvements made to the Mi-24 compared to the AH-64 is simply embarrassing. The team responsible for this helicopter should be ashamed. All we get is information that changes nothing and is only meant to silence us.
  8. Really? Will it be in Polish too? Shocking, I didn't expect that. I'm impressed.

  10. The scale of the work and improvements being made to the Mi-24 compared to the AH-64 is embarrassing. I wonder how much longer we'll have to wait for the OFFICIAL manual.
  11. In the case of this helicopter, having pedals is a must. You can fly without them, of course, but it will be difficult and frustrating. This helicopter has no power steering and is very sensitive. It all depends on you (the pilot). When I switched from the Mi-24 to this little thing, I was sure I couldn't fly helicopters. The Cayuse did whatever it wanted. I bought spring-loaded pedals on sale, and they weren't what I expected. Only removing the springs allowed me to have better control. Now I feel more in control of the helicopter.
  12. Set the stick to the position you feel is appropriate and lock it using the trim release. The cap only makes minimal adjustments. The pedals are very important in this helicopter. I personally use a short joystick and it took me a long time to find the right curves. Besides that, I recommend practice, practice, and more practice. The govenor in a general sense allows the rotor speed to be maintained.
  13. I stopped using OvGME and went back to JSGME. OvG didn't back up the original files or delete the loaded ones when I tried to disable a mod, which prevented me from joining a multiplayer server several times. When I checked the DCS integrity, I usually got a message that the game files were missing, and I had to re-download them. It's actually quite strange. I don't have these problems with JSG. Everything works perfectly; I can enable and disable mods without any errors, both in the savegames folder and in the DCS root folder.
  14. You just keep harassing us. How much longer will you torment us? I can't wait to try this wonder.
  15. I've noticed. Anything non-hamerican is unimportant and doesn't need to be addressed. Players can write, request, and it will remain the same: Thank you for being here. As for the Mi-24 manual, I don't even feel like writing anymore. I read about a year ago that it was already available, just some corrections. I'll ask the team. Oh well, life. I agree with you 100%. Hokey is a lunatic. Treat him with love, and he'll return the favor in kind. Flying over the runway at an altitude of 5m at a speed of 250 km/h... An unforgettable feeling.
  16. Please help. Does anyone know what the sealing valve is labeled as in the function list? I've searched all over and found nothing. Just to clarify, I'm referring to this knob.
  17. "AH-64D – New George Commands (Forum mini-update) The next DCS update will add huge improvements to commanding “George AI” as the Co-Pilot Gunner to search for and engage enemy forces. The post explains how to use the interface and explains the command logic." Maybe something similar could finally be done with Petrovitch? He's truly... limited. The Mi-24 is almost a year older than the Apache and looks like it has been neglected.
  18. Maybe this patch will finally fix the radio tuning light. I don't think it's a big deal.
  19. Great news. I hope it works and works properly.
  20. Looks great. Have you considered adding a tiltable SPPU-22? I'm just curious; I remember Su-22s firing with that pod.
  21. Where's the airframe technician? What came loose!!!
  22. Great fun. I have to limit myself to one mission a day so it doesn't end too quickly. It's incredibly addictive. Regarding the incorrect marker reading on the map, I selected the mission again and checked the magnetic declination in the lower cabin. It was set to 2.4. I don't know if that had anything to do with it, but since I've been keeping it set to 2.2, I haven't had any problems with the readings.
  23. Thanks, but it's not particularly difficult. Do it a few times with the checklist, and then it'll be automatic. As for the map, it works for me; I just sometimes have problems with the markers on the map pointing correctly.
