  1. Colonel, hospital... Luckily I didn't have to report "Gruz 200". Mission accomplished @Raven (Elysian Angel) Something's wrong with your post. The text in the second frame and the photo are missing. Well, I wrote that it's great fun.
  2. I watched the movie "The Shepherd" again. I can't wait to see this mod so I can take a ride in it at night.
  3. Yes, the dialogue is interesting. I didn't want to reveal that to Raven. I was only writing about random events.
  4. @Raven (Elysian Angel)The anti-icing system should be turned on when the outside temperature is +10°C. Pitot tube and clock heating as needed.
  5. @Raven (Elysian Angel)I just remembered. You mentioned icing. Did you have the pitot tube heater on? I'm thinking about the switches on the left side. I once forgot to turn it on before a flight. It took a while to warm up.
  6. Personally, I have the pedal trim turned off, I removed the springs from my pedals (CH Pro Pedals). The microswitch is set to Automatic Off and I have assigned an on/off switch to the joystick.
  7. I don't think you missed anything. I flew both routes. Nothing special happened. Just a regular flight to the airport. I don't have VR. During normal (real-world) flight procedures, you synchronize in MAG and then switch to GYRO. I fly in GYRO. I also check the magnetic declination setting in the copilot's cockpit.
  8. I'm not saying it's bad. I have this thing where when the subtitles come on, my eyes dart away for a moment to see what's flashing. It's my little ADHD. I look forward to more missions from you, I'm having fun with them.
  9. You're just a guy who's read a lot of books, and knowledge is pouring out of his ears, and he has to brag about it. That's not the point. Just like it's not the point that Chuck created a very good manual.
  10. Perhaps it's because the F-16, F-18, and Ah-64 are in active service and thus have a chance to attract more new customers. The Mi-24, having long since outlived its glory days, is no longer attractive to new generations. It remains a target for enthusiasts and lovers of Soviet engineering, and therefore, is no longer as profitable. That's my thought.
  11. This is just my personal opinion. Actually, such a subtitle on/off function shouldn't be difficult to implement. ED could probably add something like that to the menu. Unless I'm an exception. Have fun. The campaign is definitely worth the time invested. I'll definitely be returning to it. When I finish this one, I'll tackle Palestrael on the Mi-8 again. Another well-done campaign by ddgoofy. I saw that you finished the Yoyo campaign, and I agree with what you wrote. I've already finished it too.
  12. The campaign is of a very high standard. The dialogue adds a lot of realism and is a great addition. It's just a shame I can't turn off the subtitles; they're a bit distracting me. The missions are very well planned and offer a lot of variety. I enjoy the unexpected twists and turns of the action. I put on some music from that period (I really like it) and have a great time. In the ninth mission, I noticed slight differences in the flight directions given between the kneeboard and the cartographer.
  13. Could you elaborate on your statement? I'm curious what you're writing about.
  14. Thank God it's July 2025, and I'm wondering if anything has happened on this topic? I wanted to buy this map, but I won't. One of the most important British airfields of World War II was completely omitted, and we have an airfield that essentially didn't exist. Thank you, I'm not buying it.
  15. First of all, you never have a guarantee of hitting your target. It's expensive to fire at a target area with rockets. It's more intimidating, psychological warfare, and if you happen to hit something, you can only celebrate. Simply put, you need to know the effective range of the rockets and calculate the distance to the target from which you should fire the salvo. Raising the nose improves the rockets' trajectory. They don't lose altitude as quickly. They fly in a parabolic pattern instead of a flat plane. In real life, there are also corrections for atmospheric conditions, but I suspect you don't need to do that in DCS. So, for example, the rockets' range is 4km, you check the map for a 4km circle from the target. You fly on course to the target, arrive at firing range, raise the nose slightly 30°, and fire. Mission accomplished. ps. Watch your speed and nose lift so as not to fall.
  16. There's just one small problem: refunds can be made in the ED store, but how will this be handled on Steam?
  17. I agree with you. The cartographer works very well, especially on maps with two zoom levels. The Mi-24 was intended to be a simple tool, without any frills. Among older colleagues, it was common practice to draw the flight route on a map to reinforce the habit. Paper was the most important thing. As the era of the first Germins began, I saw fewer and fewer young pilots with a map, navigation slider, and pencil in hand. Just a small digression.
  18. I'm sorry, but the words just come to mind. "By their fruits you will recognize them." Best regards
  19. I think you misunderstood me. Unfortunately, English isn't my native language, and I have to use a translator, which probably doesn't convey the meaning of what I'm saying. I'm trying to say that I have the impression, the feeling of being disregarded when it comes to comments and observations regarding the Mi-24. For example, how long the topic of the official manual or the green light on the R-828 radio has been going on. These are just two of the most common examples. I hope it's clear now. I'm writing only on my own behalf, although I have the feeling I'm not alone here. Thank you
  20. Thank you for your reply. What you're writing about is called censorship, or as many prefer, moderation. What I wrote about is: we'll write whatever we want, and users should leave us alone. Thanks
  21. I've already written this in another thread, and I'll repeat it here. The amount of work and improvements made to the Mi-24 compared to the AH-64 is simply embarrassing. The team responsible for this helicopter should be ashamed. All we get is information that changes nothing and is only meant to silence us.
  22. Really? Will it be in Polish too? Shocking, I didn't expect that. I'm impressed.

  24. The scale of the work and improvements being made to the Mi-24 compared to the AH-64 is embarrassing. I wonder how much longer we'll have to wait for the OFFICIAL manual.
  25. In the case of this helicopter, having pedals is a must. You can fly without them, of course, but it will be difficult and frustrating. This helicopter has no power steering and is very sensitive. It all depends on you (the pilot). When I switched from the Mi-24 to this little thing, I was sure I couldn't fly helicopters. The Cayuse did whatever it wanted. I bought spring-loaded pedals on sale, and they weren't what I expected. Only removing the springs allowed me to have better control. Now I feel more in control of the helicopter.
