  1. I saw a youtube video on how to fix that a month or so ago.... go search for it and see if it helps..
  2. Thanks for the input, but like I said, the Hog as is, isn't that bad, and his fixes aren't a niggling necessity for me.
  3. "The correct place"............ If I were good at finding the lua files I probably wouldn't need the other two software items. I could just do it my self and create a mod I could install and uninstall. The controls he has done new lua for are not really a problem with me, I really want the fuel selector switch to work as the Jug and mustangs does.

    Trim Too Fast

It's fantastic, the two levers in the rear I either use for RPM and Mixture, or on the Mustang I use them for the Carb heat and Ram Air. And then I'll use the knobs for RPM and Mixture. But it's great.
  5. I don't use their software.
  6. Nothing about it sounds like this, engine or whistle...

    Trim Too Fast

Get one of these from K51.... he's here on the forums. Some restrictions on shipping to certain countries. 8 axis, you can have the knobs as rotories, mine are pots. You can de-tune... slow down speed in axis tune.
  8. We noticed that last night in our group Thursday night flight. Took off from the carrier and everyone's gear was down. This was on the Caucasus map. Some went back to the boat, and some went to a land base. We were all sitting there at the ramp, gear up floating in the air. This completely kills any immersion in an online mission. I've never seen it in an offline mission. Someone didn't do their due diligence in on-line testing of the Hog.... MSE 1 certification needs pulled...... (Mfg Self Examination). JMTCW..... And just in case you lost the last one.......
  9. I wouldn't know what to do with those Lua files. You should put them into a OVGME Mod pack and offer them as a download.
  10. It doesn't matter if I have flaps up or down, it goes nose up really fast with recommended Pitch trim settings. So I don't use them. The yaw goes nuts, too after wheels up. So I have come up with my own take off trim settings for the Hog. I've got a K51 trim box and I can control the speed of the trim in axis tune. But it still feels wonky to me. Carrier take offs are completly different.. seem tame by comparison.
  11. I remember Fireball fixed it to where we could load the flightdeck with lots of planes in the flight sim that will go un-named.
  12. I'd really like the fuel tank selector rotary to be like the Jug and Mustangs. Okay, and the armament switches. For me the flaps lever is much like the Mustangs, physically sequential. Most of the time I dislike using the mouse once in flight. Engine start, engine stop is fine, I'm not flying anymore.....

    Nav radio

Here's a good article on it... I still can't find the old charts we used to use in IL2 Pacific fighters. The mission brief contained information for each carrier participating in the mission. We used to do SEOW campaigns against other IL2 squads. We had to do scout missions to find the enemy task forces, so we were all over the place on patrol routes. You needed Hayrake to get you back to the boat. We had the paper copies of the charts and would write down the Alpha codes for each 30-degree sector. https://militaryhistorynow.com/2024/03/11/ye-zb-hayrake-the-top-secret-radio-navigation-system-that-helped-americas-carrier-pilots-defeat-the-japanese/

    Carrier landings

A guy in my group has found that if the carrier is on a certain heading the tail hook or wires don't work as advertised ... these are his findings.... For you folks that are building missions for the Corsair to fly off the Essex class boat, Please make sure that the boat is not on a course of 181 through 270. For some odd reason, the arresting gear will not engage the tailhook as long as the boat is on a course in that quadrant - between 181 and 270. Any other course is fine, from 271 around to 180. Not yet sure if this is map dependant. I will do some tests. So check your mission files and see if that may be a problem.
  15. You feel the weight of the Jug, the Hog feels light even with a full load out. I feel the engine sound of the Jug, not so much in the Hog. Once they refine the Control settings (fuel selector, weapons switches... etc..) and make them more like the other warbirds, it will greatly reduce the usage of the mouse. The WWII map is beautiful, but a resource hog.... I turn off the mirrors and that helps a lot. It is definitely the Hose Nose Widow Maker, or Ensign Eliminator, when it comes to CQ on the boat. I can't tell how annoying the Island and Gun mounts are when they get in the way of a great approach...... the cat walk rails are a life saver when you're hanging from them like a dingleberry noob.... But I really like it....

Hayrake navigation had seperate codes for each boat, and it changed everyday. That pie chart in the aircraft was what was used to find the sector you were in by the Letter and Morse code you were receiving. Land based systems code never changed. I hope they put a code cheat in it for the morse like Pacific Fighters did for the system. I sucked at figuring it out...... We'll need printable pie charts like we used in PF, and get the boats code in the briefing.
  17. I fixed with a reinstall, I figured it somehow got corrupted on the initial install. It's all good now.
  18. It wasn't set in my driver at all. I ensured that when I updated my BIOS a few months ago, it was still enabled. I believe it's enabled by default in my BIOS. However, after watching the video, I found that the settings the video refers to were not enabled in the NVIDIA driver settings via NVIDIA Profile Inspector. I posted this to another page a couple of days ago after I found mine were not enabled, and figured others might not be aware that the driver setting on their system might be off by default. I don't run benchmark programs, so I'm not sure whether there's any benefit on my computer.
  19. I like the Hornet stick over the F-16 stick, the ergonomics of it feel better for center mount. The TM stick is compatible with Virpil's CM bases without an adapter if I'm not mistaken. These manufactures should make their bases all except the same pin patterns. They would probably get more sales of bases.
  20. We're talking about the nvidia driver, and nvidia graphics cards, not what CPU you are running. If you have an intel CPU, and mobo go see if it's turned on in your bios. Then check the nvidia driver. I wouldn't know what it's called on a AMD mobo, or if it's even there.
  21. Sorry, don't know why the pics disappeared from the post. I need a new phone with a better camera...

    Ordnance

Thanks everyone for you ideas, I fixed the problem with a reinstall. It's not the first time I've had something get corrupted with a module that a full, slow repair couldn't fix. . Arming panel works like it should now.

    Trim Too Fast

I'm lucky I have a trim box with wheels, so I don't have to use the trim hat on the stick. I had to really de-tune mine because they moved to fast. I have that problem with other modules, too. The F-86 is a pain because I use the stick trim hat. It does move way too fast.

What ever the problem was a reinstall fixed it, I can now click the field and get the Tiny Tim to show up and load. What a pain in the tookis.... The Tiny Tim training mission is still missing Mr. Tiny....
