  1. Well, I don't usually let go of my flight stick while I'm playing like I'm flying, so wobble is not something I look at, or really care about. I'm anal, but not that anal....... I've got the springs set heavy to get a tactile feel of good resistance. I don't know of anyone; or have heard of anyone who makes a turn, climbs or dives, while playing like they are flying, and lets go of their stick in the process. That, just don't make sense. The only time I've ever partially let go of a directional control device is when I'm driving my truck and let the steering wheel come back to center on its own after turning. But my hand is still resting on it.
  2. There are three collars, two sets of cams, and three sets of springs—a large collar for no extension, a medium collar for 10mm up to 75 mm, and a small collar for 75mm - 200 mm and up. I use the small collar for less travel with a 200 mm extension, Jet cams, and stiff springs adjusted down pretty well. The base features a button that allows you to calibrate the stick after making all necessary changes and adjustments to the various hardware components. I like it; I had a TM Warthog HOTAS set up with Crosswind pedals for years, and never had a problem with them. Now, I have a wide assortment of pieces that make up my simpit, so I'm no fanboy to any manufacturer. WinWing Super Taurus (legacy) and PTO2, TM AVA base w/F/A-18 stick, Viper Panel, and TPRs, a BlackHog A, and an On-your-12 Master Arm panel button boxes, along with a K51 trim box. I use all of these without the TARGET or SimAppPro software running. They are only for firmware updates and changing Hats and switches from an axis to a DX function. I use RSMapper to program TEMPO and Macro commands when needed, and it displays all my controllers and their corresponding buttons. My advice is to do your research (will you need to use their software, and will you understand it if you do?) Find what fits your needs and budget, regardless of the manufacturer; you can't go wrong.
  3. It will start to transmit when the receiver's signal strength reaches a specific strength (dbm) from the Target Tracking RADAR, called "Sense", then it will XMIT, pulse for pulse a deception technique, it will continue to XMIT until the receiver senses it has reached a weaker signal strenth (dbm) called "Snap Down" (leaving the area) then it will stop transmitting. So, leave the DECM Xmitter in STBY on the boat or airfield, put it into REC after takeoff, and put it in RPT/XMIT when you fence in. Return the "Q" to REC when you fence out. Take it from an old, retired USN avionics technician who worked on AN/ALR-45/45F/50 and 67s, as well as AN/ALQ-126A and Bs, out of the A-7s, A-6s, and F/A-18s, that this is how DECM works.
  4. LOL, he was standing next to my parking spot.... should of had his head on a swivel... and not be skylarkin'.....
  5. LOL, I restarted Wolfpack I after a long, long hiatus. Completed the first mission, returned to base, made a text book landing, taxied back to my original starting point and ran over one of the damn sentries standing on the apron..... WTH..... said I lost all my points for the mission... The AI is nuckin futs.... I finally started using the Boost lever instead of the throttle and it wasn't as bad, but still a bit nerve wracking not to hit anyone. I need to fly all of this one and get to Wolfpack II. Nice atmosphere in the missions Reflected...
  6. It's the WinWing "Start-up Panel" for the Super Taurus throttle base. Get a Viper panel for the right hand side of your set up...
  7. We need CVEs, such as the USS San Jacinto. And Japanese Maru's... US Liberty ships...
  8. It doesn't work for me anymore on my new computer build running windows 11. I run it and it will not find my build, mainly because gui button is greyed out... they are all greyed out.. LOL, everything is greyed out. Not sure why it's doing this but it really ticks me off, the DCS repair isn't finding anything wrong with my build, I've lost my WWII assets with this latest hotfix 7/1/25 update to the last update. Closed Beta testing at ED is extremely lacking... Okay, figured out how to do it all manually in slot 1, I tell it to update and it tells me I have the latest update, I tell it to repair and it tells me I need the latest update... Catch 22.....
  9. I can't play any of my WWII missions or campaigns because this last update to the update has errased the WWII assets pack from my install. My license ends with LACDMH and it as old as methuselah. A long repair did not work either. I sure as heck with the Closed Beta testing was an actual thing before an update is published.. My Mosquito landing gear horn is fixed, but I can't play any of the missions because there are things missing because my WWII Assets pack is kaput..... How long is this going to take to fix now? Okay, I went in and uninstalled all my mods again.. and did another Repair and it is back. And yes I always stop an update and uninstall my mod packs. Cheers...
  10. It doesn't work for me either, the file structure is a bit vague on which folder of the download goes where. I hate it when there is a mod fix, but no clear explanation of how to install it. The first file in Sounds is called Sounds in my install, it the ATM88 mod Saved Games/Sounds/Sounds/Ground units The download is: Sounds/sdef/aircrafts/Mosquito What goes where.... figured it out, just put the sdef folder in the main sounds folder.. if at first you don't succeed, screw it up again... till you screw it up the correct way.. I'm wondering if the 88 mod actually has sound now...
  11. Really..... maybe you should use Woody Woodpecker as a nose art on it... I believe you might have one..... And the horn is definitely very annoying.....
  12. Good question, since it's a R2800 like the Jug, I thought ( however misguided) that the Oil Cooler and Inter-cooler flaps, should probably be set at mid point or ''Neutral" like the Jug. But I honestly have not seen a difference in temps doing it that way. Only the cowl flaps have made a difference in any temps (Cylinder) from what I've seen. It's early access, so who knows what works like it's supposed to.
  13. I got it in the downloads section, if you can't find it let me know and I'll pack it up and put it on mediafire for you. You have the encoders? found it... https://www.digitalcombatsimulator.com/en/files/filter/type-is-mod/unit-is-p-47d/apply/ LOL, it's the only mod for the Jug on the page....
  14. Are you using the HAT on the stick? or a dedicated trim box?.. A dedicated trim box is the best way to go for warbirds. There are people on here that make them... GVL, K51, and a few others. this is GVL's, I'm sure he has a new model now, thats an old screenshot from years ago. It worked great. I gave it to a friend of mine and he's using it now. And this is K51's which I'm using now.... 8 axis'... all can be tuned in Axis Tune.... Hopefully someone will make a mod for the Corsair like they did for the P-47, on slowing down trim and gunfire rate.
  15. I saw a youtube video on how to fix that a month or so ago.... go search for it and see if it helps..
  16. Thanks for the input, but like I said, the Hog as is, isn't that bad, and his fixes aren't a niggling necessity for me.
  17. "The correct place"............ If I were good at finding the lua files I probably wouldn't need the other two software items. I could just do it my self and create a mod I could install and uninstall. The controls he has done new lua for are not really a problem with me, I really want the fuel selector switch to work as the Jug and mustangs does.
  18. It's fantastic, the two levers in the rear I either use for RPM and Mixture, or on the Mustang I use them for the Carb heat and Ram Air. And then I'll use the knobs for RPM and Mixture. But it's great.
  19. I don't use their software.
  20. Nothing about it sounds like this, engine or whistle...
  21. Get one of these from K51.... he's here on the forums. Some restrictions on shipping to certain countries. 8 axis, you can have the knobs as rotories, mine are pots. You can de-tune... slow down speed in axis tune.
  22. We noticed that last night in our group Thursday night flight. Took off from the carrier and everyone's gear was down. This was on the Caucasus map. Some went back to the boat, and some went to a land base. We were all sitting there at the ramp, gear up floating in the air. This completely kills any immersion in an online mission. I've never seen it in an offline mission. Someone didn't do their due diligence in on-line testing of the Hog.... MSE 1 certification needs pulled...... (Mfg Self Examination). JMTCW..... And just in case you lost the last one.......
  23. I wouldn't know what to do with those Lua files. You should put them into a OVGME Mod pack and offer them as a download.
