  1. Make sure you have all the latest drivers, even TARGET has been updated. I have the AVA base with an F/A-18 stick on it, and when I updated the drivers my RSMapper software kept giving me hiccups. Go into Thrustmaster Control panel (Start/Thrustmaster/Thrustmaster Control Panel) if you don't see it, you don't have the drivers installed correctly. Once in there, look for your AVA base and make sure the firmware is up to date... no matter if you might think it is... Thrustmaster is going to ask you right off if everything is installed correctly. If you see your stick and all the buttons and axis' are working in the Control Panel, then it's a DCS problem not seeing your stick. I had to redo all my in game axis when I updated the drivers and Firmware. That's when it saw my stick as a Hornet (R) stick. It used to just be Hornet stick. Do a rescan of devices and then a slow repair of the game. Good luck.. glad to see you're still around Stanger... Hoss aka 361st_BeoWolf
  2. Got the dampers and cams today. Installed both, hated the cams, went back to jet cams, love the dampers. I'm in the process of finding a good spring tension to damper ratio that's good for my stick set up, I've got 200 mm extension on mine... It's a much more precise feeling now... totally changes your curves and deadzones...
  3. It's weird listening to Echo-19s sound mod while flying the P-51. The visuals don't do the engine sounds justice. While the Corsair is just the opposite. Probably why I use the Jug and the Mossie the most.
  4. Make sure your drivers are installed. Go into Start/Programs/All, and go to Thrustmaster Control Panel and see if your FW is up to date. You can update from there. There is new software, that I was unaware of.
  5. Yeah, I just discovered in the Warbirds that when you "Show Pilot" in the Mustang the knee-board works on his left thigh. It's the only one that works though, I checked the Jug and the Spit and it's a Caucasus map that won't work for your current location,i.e. Normandy, and Channel maps. I wish the Mossie had a working pilot, but the cockpit is a ghost town. I need to check out some of my other modules and see if they have a functioning in cockpit pilot knee-board.
  6. Ms. Mossie is my second favorite warbird behind the Jug, I really haven't gotten to the Spitfire yet. I've got most of the controls mapped out, but haven't slipped the surly bonds with her very much.
  7. I keep forgetting the Mossie is still "Early Release". Behind the Jug it's my second favorite warbird. The Mustang needs some 4k rework done inside and out, to bring up to the Jug, Mossie, and the new Corsair's level of detail.
  8. Piece of cake now. I have to be careful not to give it as much power as I did before.
  9. That's not my break set up, mine is a J curve. Somehow it got messed up on the Mossie and the Jug, works fine on all the other modules. The last windows update and Windows Defender messed up keyboard emulation software in IL2 (RSMapper by the exceptions/inclusion of files) and some of the settings in DCS as well. Im not sure why DCS was effected. So I added my gamer computer to my Bitdefender account. Ditched the windows version of AV & FW. Redid all the exception and inclusion protocol and problem fixed with RSMapper. So going in and erasing and remapping all my axis' for the Jug and the Mossie did the trick. If it happens again, I'll know what caused it.....
  10. Yes, 1,000% sure, I did however go and redo all my axis profiles, Throttle, RPM, trims, brakes redid them except for Mixture... Mossie doesn't need it. Now I'm getting a ton of power and torque with the Mossie on take off. Don't know why, but it's FM... Fargin Magic how things get messed up in DCS. I always just use the Quick Action missions to practice take off and landings, I do a bunch of them most days, mainly with the Jug and Mossie, just to become really proficient at it. Somehow the Mossie's axis got messed up. because RPM and Boost on the Mossie were showing 3000 and 16 and I wasn't getting up to speed. I don't need nearly those numbers now to get to speed in half the time. I've been at this game since it came out in the early 2000's as LockOn Modern Air Combat. As I mentioned, I'm no noob.. I do appreciate the advice though.. much appreciated.
  11. I'm not a noob, everything is on Simulation, and everything on the Mosquito "Special" page is off, no assists... It's one of the first things I checked.
  12. I have the hardest damn time getting this thing off the ground, I can keep it going straight down the runway, but it just does not want to become unstuck. And I've used all kinds of power settings, flaps, no flaps, it will not get above 70 to 80 mph. And no the brakes are not on either.. LOL..... It's frustrating when you're trying to fly a single mission or a campaign and your wingman is in the air before you are halfway down the runway, and then run out of runway and you're still on the ground... it's driving me Nuckin Futs.. For those of you who are experts, do you have any advice on getting this thing up to speed and off the ground. Single player and campaigns are really un-enjoyable if you can't get airborne. Thanks in advance......

  14. Seeing as how this is a Thrustmaster thread, you may be interested......... Thrustmaster just released two extensions, a straight and a Helo curved, both with adjustable offsets. They also released damper clutches and new FBW (Fly-by-Wire) cams.
  15. Here ya go... a solution to wobble...... And new Fly by Wire (FBW) cams, for you Jet Jocky types.... I got a set of each.... The Helo types should like the dampers, and maybe even the Dual Pitch cam... Oh yeah, there are extensions now, too—straight and curved Helo editions with adjustable offsets.
  16. Thrustmaster just released new Cams, Clutches, and Extensions for the AVA. I bought the new FBW (Fly by Wire) cams and a set of the dampening clutches.
  17. I was wondering why I can't see the pilot and navigator in the cockpit with it turned on in the settings. I also have it bound (Show Pilot) on my controller systems and also in Voice Command. I never see it, which has me perplexed because in Reflected's video on his campaign, he has this feature turned on. Inquiring minds would like to know....
  18. Well, I don't usually let go of my flight stick while I'm playing like I'm flying, so wobble is not something I look at, or really care about. I'm anal, but not that anal....... I've got the springs set heavy to get a tactile feel of good resistance. I don't know of anyone; or have heard of anyone who makes a turn, climbs or dives, while playing like they are flying, and lets go of their stick in the process. That, just don't make sense. The only time I've ever partially let go of a directional control device is when I'm driving my truck and let the steering wheel come back to center on its own after turning. But my hand is still resting on it.
  19. There are three collars, two sets of cams, and three sets of springs—a large collar for no extension, a medium collar for 10mm up to 75 mm, and a small collar for 75mm - 200 mm and up. I use the small collar for less travel with a 200 mm extension, Jet cams, and stiff springs adjusted down pretty well. The base features a button that allows you to calibrate the stick after making all necessary changes and adjustments to the various hardware components. I like it; I had a TM Warthog HOTAS set up with Crosswind pedals for years, and never had a problem with them. Now, I have a wide assortment of pieces that make up my simpit, so I'm no fanboy to any manufacturer. WinWing Super Taurus (legacy) and PTO2, TM AVA base w/F/A-18 stick, Viper Panel, and TPRs, a BlackHog A, and an On-your-12 Master Arm panel button boxes, along with a K51 trim box. I use all of these without the TARGET or SimAppPro software running. They are only for firmware updates and changing Hats and switches from an axis to a DX function. I use RSMapper to program TEMPO and Macro commands when needed, and it displays all my controllers and their corresponding buttons. My advice is to do your research (will you need to use their software, and will you understand it if you do?) Find what fits your needs and budget, regardless of the manufacturer; you can't go wrong.

It will start to transmit when the receiver's signal strength reaches a specific strength (dbm) from the Target Tracking RADAR, called "Sense", then it will XMIT, pulse for pulse a deception technique, it will continue to XMIT until the receiver senses it has reached a weaker signal strenth (dbm) called "Snap Down" (leaving the area) then it will stop transmitting. So, leave the DECM Xmitter in STBY on the boat or airfield, put it into REC after takeoff, and put it in RPT/XMIT when you fence in. Return the "Q" to REC when you fence out. Take it from an old, retired USN avionics technician who worked on AN/ALR-45/45F/50 and 67s, as well as AN/ALQ-126A and Bs, out of the A-7s, A-6s, and F/A-18s, that this is how DECM works.

  22. LOL, I restarted Wolfpack I after a long, long hiatus. Completed the first mission, returned to base, made a text book landing, taxied back to my original starting point and ran over one of the damn sentries standing on the apron..... WTH..... said I lost all my points for the mission... The AI is nuckin futs.... I finally started using the Boost lever instead of the throttle and it wasn't as bad, but still a bit nerve wracking not to hit anyone. I need to fly all of this one and get to Wolfpack II. Nice atmosphere in the missions Reflected...
  23. It's the WinWing "Start-up Panel" for the Super Taurus throttle base. Get a Viper panel for the right hand side of your set up...
