  1. US F-15C fighter pilot dies after crash today: http://news.bbc.co.uk/2/hi/americas/7255979.stm My deep condolence to the family…
  2. A login with a password would be the perfect solution indeed. Ban a dynamic IP is impossible.
  3. There even were NO equal numbers on paper! If you want to believe that an air force would keep 95% of his fighters grounded to give a couple of wacky F-15 pilots a fair fight then believe it but don’t try to convince others! If you mean Mig-29A or Mig-29C/G with useless old Alamos or without R-77 indeed they would have no chance 1on1 too if the fight would be in equal setup. F-15C is of course a superior class with bigger and stronger radar call it class A (same class as Su-27) Mig29 is class B (same class F-16/F-18/Mirage…) The point stay: The Mig-29 had no fair chance yet to prove his capabilities in real combat… ;)
  4. Of course not… It was the Tomahawk BGM-109s and the Tomahawk Land Attack Missile (TLAM) (the stock was 2200 missiles) (In 1991 several hundreds were used against Iraqi targets and during the four-day attack on Iraq in December 1998, the US Navy fired some 300 TLAMs) and the heaviest cruise missile: the AGM-86C (of which Boeing manufactured 1715) Later Boeing had to convert 95 nuclear-armed cruise missiles to the non-nuclear version that B-52 bombers were launching at Yugoslavia because the stock was completely wasted! :helpsmilie: Can you imagine? ;)
  5. Accidents happen! The rare ones that were missed by the 2 permanent airborne AWACS-planes were of course spammed with amraams in 1999… Sure it was one on one… (trail intercept=very effective tactic if one side has a large number of fighters) Nr 1 F-16 fire and run, missed Nr 2 F-16 fire and run, missed Nr 3 F-16 fire and run, crap, can you believe it Nr 4 can go home because the Mig-29 was hit! I am talking about the Yugo and Iraqi “war”; it was not really war but punishment. Don’t get me wrong: it was the only way to do it right (though not the last Iraq “war” at least that way)
  6. Because carpet bombing on parked Mig-29’s is not a good method to gather records!
  7. In fact, the PAC-3 radar (latest MIM-104 Patriot upgrade) is capable, among other things, of discriminating whether or not an aircraft is manned and which of multiple reentering ballistic objects are carrying ordnance. Can you prove that you don’t make up things or that you copy/paste info from sources/websites that didn’t make up things? :D PS. It is not possible to make up logic; if (a<b and b<c) then a < c. If (system b own system a and system c own system b) then system c own system a
  8. The F-22 was a cold war project to deal with the S-300. The question is: “Will it deal also with the S-400?” We even don’t know if it would deal with the 300. We do know that the F-117 and the F-22 can’t deal with the latest generation Patriots. Why would it with the S-400?:megalol:
  9. Thanks for the translation FF! No need to say that I don’t understand 1 word! Except "raket" or something like that! (Almost Flemish like the word “tafel” :D)
  10. What I would do is eject :D PS. Check out this S-400 «Triumph» ( SA-21 Growler ) demonstration:
  11. The thing is GG: A modified airframe to set climb records would be very bad for combat performance. Special versions of the Su-27 and the F-15 were modified to beat each other climb-record. Remember the big climb post with swingkid and JoJo and Rhen? Indeed it even turned into a promised modification for FC 1.2 upgrade of the F-15C FM’s at high altitude? As an example, a formula One car setup for the Monaco circuit would be disastrous if used on a fast track in Monsa.
  12. You were talking about the F-15 Streak eagle maybe! Not the F-15C…. :D
  13. On the 19-MAY-2007 I have posted a similar mission + solution trackfile demonstrating this attack but for the Mig29S and of course a more sick scenario made by myself! :D http://forums.eagle.ru/showthread.php?t=23162&highlight=president+mission
  14. Is this true? Please can you edit the wikipedia-data for me because it shows a different result? ;) Su-27: Rate of climb: 325 m/s (64,000 ft/min) http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Sukhoi_Su-27 F-15C: Rate of climb: >50,000 ft/min (254 m/s) http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/F-15_Eagle#Specifications_.28F-15C_Eagle.29
  15. Eeeeeh, A mig29 minutes before his MFD upgrade or else it was an unprotected Polish Mig29 on an airfield in Poland. Maybe they were searching for copper :D.
  16. OK I was OT there. I guess you can take the Messerschmitt Bf 109 because this is the plane with the best proven combat record until now :D. I'll take a plane that actually has 2 engines any day of the week over one that does only has 1, regardless of who makes it :smartass:.
  17. No… F-22 RAPTOR 2D thrust vectoring sucks! F-16 1D thrust vectoring sucks big-time! :D
  18. The thing is: The newest F-16-versions still suck! The newest Mig29 (MIG29OVT/Mig35) is THE fighter plane of the future. -Ultra light frame (75%+ carbon) -AESA radar -Real 3D thrust vectoring (2D sucks) -Most agile fighter at the moment -Unique EOS system -Soon the ramjet R-77 version -Best performance/price in his class (F-16/F-18 segment, not the ef2k/f22/su-35 segment ;)) … Eat this: (Black shark version :D)
  19. On top of this it is a public secret that virgins do attract bullets and missiles :D. True fact: during WWII the Japanese virgin military were helped by a female friend or even by a whore (rewarded by their parents) before going to the battle field :D.
  20. If I do recall correctly: you have to load the pod for the night. Since I always load the pod and I avoid flying during night I am not so sure. Anyway I will try the candle tick sometime in the future :D.
  21. Has nothing to do with speed! 12G is 12G even with different speed! ;) You just said it “MUCH draggier” These potato mashers are much draggier and as a result the missile can pull more G’s. I am not saying that the R-77 is faster. I am saying that it has better range (even on lower speed). If you want to boost the missiles (cruise)speed then you have to waste more propellant and as a result you have less range. BTW a Mirage2000 can pull 13.5G. Airframe minimum?
  22. The R-77's main advantage over the AIM-120C AMRAAM is in range and manoeuvrability. The longer range is because the R-77 is a larger 200 mm vs 178 mm (8 vs 7 in), heavier 175 vs 150 kg (386 vs 335 lb) missile than the AMRAAM and contains more propellant. The missile's manoeuvrability relies on the "potato masher" fins at the rear. The R-77's aerodynamic configuration is claimed to provide superior manoeuvrability than the conventional deltas used on for example the AIM-120. The weapon is reported to be able to handle a target manoeuvring at up to 12g, a substantially higher rate than any manned fighter. Of course we are not discussing the AIM-120D which is prototype/upgrade of the C under development. Thus “12G” is thanks to the "potato masher"! Has nothing to do with what you are talking about…
  23. Very good work! The coolest stats! It would be even cooler if you could filter out the PERFECT/CLEAN air-kill-ratios! (like the 504th stats in the old days :pilotfly:)
  24. Good to know! Anyway it is REALISTIC for me! The reduced servers were added to my black/ignore list! PS. I also do hate it when the missile slider is NOT on default…
