  1. It can’t be so hard to replace the weak parts with new (alu) ones (thanks to good old rivets). You can measure metal fatigue! Recently I saw a documentary of British elite ground troops fighting against Taliban troops in Afghanistan and the good old F-15 was dropping 3 bombs of 250lbs on the Taliban troops (40 Taliban were killed with that action). My point is: good old F-15 was doing his job there (not the new fancy stuff like f-22’s)
  2. You can’t go wrong if your PC cost the amount of posts of Laivynas but in dollars… :D
  3. Sorry if I would sound rude or arrogant but you come here and ask people who are active in military flight-sims since Falcon 1.0 and ask them to adapt your settings. First let me explain that flying with labels on is good for exercises. You can figure out what are the best missile launches parameters for a given speed at a given altitude against a target and make a table with all these collected data. It is also a good help for evading missiles. You can then compare RWR/radar behaviors with exact data from labels. Having labels on is like having a super radar that even NOT exists in RL (it is like playing cards with a mirror). My point is: once you are used to fly without labels you will react the same way as we do!
  4. With the F-4 phantom you could do all this (including ripping off the engines :D)
  5. At least 4 people! Sonic Hacker Criminal Hell GolDen-H bring me to life
  6. @GA, 2008 Eeeh, I will probably upgrade on 29 February 2009 (the release of BS :D) I am still waiting for the upcoming AMD killer quad PC (I don’t think it will be the hopeless shit-phenom of 2008 :D) @soaringeagle74, Some vpilots out there have over 1000 online ace kills. Do you understand what you are asking here? Even lockon first-week-noobs will NOT accept labels! ;)
  7. I guess I am not the only one who misses my wire on the deck… :D
  8. The pilot is not suffering much during the G-turns. Great video angle. Thanks for the link.
  9. Merry Christmas to all from the ~{148th}~ :D
  10. I enjoyed very much these great pictures! Thanks
  11. Interesting info … A reverse jet-engine like used on the saab vigen would be practical for the anti-ice too. Of course you could park the F-16 in front of another F100-PW-220 and put the burner on :D… @Pilotasso, Very cool pictures! “Cool” (cold) indeed :D… Is your brother at location maybe?
  12. They could buy eurofighter. :D It would be anyway a win-win deal.
  13. The best ever made ranking system was made for/by (?) the 504th squadron server http://www.syn-ack.com/vvs504/stats/index.shtml Spiteful these guys are out of business (?) for some months now…
  14. OT: Students chat... http://forum.lockon.ru/showthread.php?t=23570&page=8 :D
  15. I noticed it a long time ago. But since you better use the expensive R-77 together with your radar after burn-through anyway, thus why would you take the risk and use it with EOS. The best result is anyway the ET with EOS. Of course if you can sneak on the bandit his six EOS can be so wonderfully :D
  16. Very funny! Great movie LOL :D
  17. I think you mean Mig29S’s :D
  18. Wow, Rep inbound! From now on, I don’t want any thread for removing the kuz from BS! Not from Swingkid or from anybody else! :)
  19. Hi welcome, Try http://flankertraining.com/ironhand/index.html by Ironhand and in no time you will kick some ass online… TS.
  20. So far I liked what I saw (especially page 6 :D)
  21. I have already bought a buildingsite for my mother in law… On the churchyard! :D
  22. I am afraid with the AA-online servers you will end up always with: A) The big red (Mig29s) versus blue (Mig29s) with versions like 1.12b. B) The big red (f-15C) versus blue (f-15C) with versions like 1.02. C) Because all superior fighters are taken you have to choose a sh*t-plane or even worse; a mud-mover. BTW, What is a MS Vidows? :D
  23. There is a basic principal: “You don’t pay for a patch.” There is also a difference between a bug that needs a patch and a realism in a sim that was programmed in another way; let say a modification of reality to let say; to improve game play. (If each 120 or each R77 would hit whatever target within a certain range then …) Even your super seeker can fail … There is no scientific proof out there that tells you how much hits a certain missile will have. If you talk about a certain number of improvements or new features or better realism then you can talk about an add-on or whatever and you can sell it. If not it is a patch and it must be for free. This is just my opinion… But Yes I voted: “Yes – I’d buy it”
  24. If your role in a red flag exercise is to protect or to destroy the carrier then you can get or lose for example about 5000 points. Of course it is a big deal… :D
  25. I am not so sure about this. If you can get enemy submarines out of the Black Sea with a wall of sea mines setup together with all kind of fixed setup of electronic detection walls under water. Above sea level Cruisers like the Moscow will deal with threats by using the onboard special S-400 modified systems and protect the Kuz in the best possible way. . At open sea I don’t see how the Kuz can protect himself against the lets say nowadays German type U212/214 wolf packs which are extremely quiet and virtually undetectable These latest submarines are bringing the naval cold war era tactics up for discussion where open sea was preferred.
