yea the big factor is economy. Russians are very smart, but if they can't fund some of these projects, then they can't make it until 2030. But then again, our U.S. economy is going down fast we probably won't see any new aircraft for a while until our economy recovers (which at this rate might a be a decade). I study economics and I know some scary stuff that's going on.

yea your 1024 version looks awesome. Maybe its something about widescreen and Lock On's auto rescale that kinda screws it up. But we are getting closer.

If you want, you could test my second version of the menu mod, I just changed the main picture around. I didn't use this one because when I converted to dds, the picture was very jagged and the words collided with the pictures. Maybe you will have better luck? note: I did not create the F-15C or Su-27 picture, those were from screenshotart.com

Alright I tested the one you gave me, although your 1024x768 version looks smooth, it still appears a bit jagged on my widescreen. The nose/canopy of the F-15E main picture and the F-15C quick start image, you can see some jaggedness. Here's a screen capture.

Yea the paint scheme looks awesome, however IMHO, I don't like the black outline around the canopy. Its the same with the india Su-30 MKI.

oops my bad cosmonaut, I forgot to tell you one very important detail. As you can see in the picture I posted above, it looks normal. That's how I made it so everything would fit in the right place as it was intended to use on a widescreen. With that being said, you need to stretch it into Lock On's original ratio. As you can see in your files, the black area isn't as large, so I had to stretch it to match it. Here is the correct one: Although it does look stretch in this one, it would appear correct on a 16:10 ratio monitor.

Hey cosmonaut, give me a shout out when you figure out how to smooth everything out. I'm pretty sure you run into this problem: When you create a new main screen in photoshop or whatever, the picture is smooth and clear. But once its converted into .dds and placed into lock on, the picture is a bit pixelated. (as you can see from my main screen in my first post)

Very nice! I worked on the sim-mod A-10 model as well as the current F-15 project by borchi, so I know how hard it is to create a accurate model, unwrap it, skin it, give it damage model, beta test it...etc. Good luck with your project, cheers!

Yea that's the Russian sukhoi T-50 design. It's not clear what the Russians would use for the 5th generation aircraft, they could go with the S-37 berkut design or the F-22 design. Whatever they choose, it would be interesting to see it in the air. I believe it was announced a couple weeks ago Brazil and Russia has teamed up to build the next 5th generation aircraft.

Yea you spends hundreds of dollars on your pc, joystick, trackir all that for the software. So if the product cost around 100 dollars, it would actually be reasonable. That being said, I don't know how much it will cost. regardless I'm still buying it even though I beta tested it.

Awesome work Cosmonaut. We should do like a joint effort in making cool menu mods. Here's mine. The problem with mine is, my main picture isn't dark enough for the words so it kinda clashes with it. So its not perfect for release.

starforce games works fine with Vista.

Been there, done that. Sometimes I get lazy and just sit on top of a building that overlooks the battle, and just start shooting. But if the building collapse....so do you.

hmm interesting. I do admit switching it to the Pelikan tail design might offer some stealth. Of course minor modification like that won't be enough to make it true stealth but it is stealthier. But IMHO, they would need to change that air intake area, isn't that area very unstealthy?
