  1. Righto Sith. Thanks for the link and bringing the old man up to speed. I'll continue reading for the time being and give thanks to all of those doing the testing.
  2. Sorry, negative knowledge. Was that something one had to sign up for previously? Thanks for your reply.
  3. I attempted to download both on the Eagle.ru web site and in the Module Manger yesterday (2/25/15), but getting that the Module is either unknown or that the server is unavailable. Tried this morning as well, but no joy. -Thanks
  4. I think that I'm answering my own question here, but I suppose if in the ME you chose AGL, then there is no way to know beforehand what MSL is at that point, unless you have both working radar and barometric altimeters adjusted for atmospheric conditions (or GPS I suppose). Edit: Actually, I searched my install folder for Batumi, and found the airport diagram, or Aerodrome Chart, and it shows 33 ft./10 m. as the elevation at both ends of the runway. So, 1533 MSL should be fine.
  5. Not sure about creating a traffic pattern (ME noob here), but if you use waypoints, they do allow using either MSL or AGL. So couldn't you just use 1,500 AGL and that should be correct at least at that waypoint/steering point? (Personally safety margin) my CFI, who shall remain nameless, taught me to add a 100 for wife and 100 for oldest daughter, which sometimes leaves me saying, "Yes I was a little hot, but at least I was long." :smilewink:
  6. Thanks for the quick update. May I assume if I downloaded BFT missions from the DCS web site yesterday that they are up to date? Also, with regard to traffic pattern altitudes, I found this in AIM section 4-3-3: 4-3-3. Traffic Patterns a. At most airports and military air bases, traffic pattern altitudes for propeller-driven aircraft generally extend from 600 feet to as high as 1,500 feet above the ground. Also, traffic pattern altitudes for military turbojet aircraft sometimes extend up to 2,500 feet above the ground. Therefore, pilots of en route aircraft should be constantly on the alert for other aircraft in traffic patterns and avoid these areas whenever possible. Traffic pattern altitudes should be maintained unless otherwise required by the applicable distance from cloud criteria (14 CFR Section 91.155). And this USAF publication references 1000 and 1500 ft. VFR traffic patterns. Thanks.
  7. Here you go. Check the sample pages linked and run down to the Appendix for Mig-21 victories over the F-4. They were both very worthy opponents IMO. On the other hand, Olds' Operation Bolo is said to have reduced the number of 21's by 50%. Regardless, books detailing victories on either side are replete with F-4 vs. Mig-21 engagements.
  8. Not just any Phantom, but the E model of course. Dad with his CC back in the day. Man, look at those ROCKETS!
  9. Yes, getting that F-15C RWR exported would be great. Having the VSD is very helpful, but having both would rock. Hoping that someone figures this out ASAP.
  10. Man, I'd really like to know how you exported the RWR from the F-15C. Care to detail the process? Thanks.
  11. Thanks Snoopy. Any idea of how to interpret them?
  12. This is a great thread, because the procedure doesn't seem to be documented in neither the F-15C nor Flaming Cliffs manual. A couple of questions please. 1. Is there a description of the KC135's light system somewhere? 2. When building missions, what altitiude and airspeed do you use and what should the tanker's track look like? I built a mission with the tanker's default 270 knts @ angels 20, but the Eagle seemed a little mushy for precision work. I think that I'll try 300 knts at 15,000 and see how that goes. Thanks.
  13. Thanks for posting and they look amazing. I don't suppose that you wrote out a script so that we could throw it in Google translate? That way they could be enjoyed by all languages, or perhaps a generous English speaker could overdub in the International language of aviation? Buy you a beer in the O club :)
  14. Thank you, thank you, thank you Acedy. Very much appreciated. I will connect and test ASAP. This weekend will be good.
  15. Is there any way to have players other than the Server restart the mission? Or, is there any way to have multiplayer missions time out and restart automatically (perhaps this is already the case)? The reason that I ask is because we would like to leave up and unattended server that would not need hands on by a remote admin to restart a mission once all of the objectives are met or all of the enemy objects destroyed. Alternately, is there a way to load a list of missions that would automatically roll to the next? As always, thanks in advance.
  16. =Prophet=, what key do you have mapped for Pause? Anyway, I found a workaround for remote server admins. If the Server takes and aircraft, then un-Pauses the sim, they can hit Escape and hit the Spectate button, which will then free up the aircraft. A couple of more steps, but at least it prevents having to add another aircraft for the server slot, which will never be flown on a remotely administrated server.
  17. Bump in hopes of an answer.
  18. Greetings. I've been tinkering with the Server a bit remotely, connecting with Logmein. Per the FAQ, I've remapped Pause to the P key. If the Server takes an aircraft I can un-pause the sim, but cannot do it when the Server is spectating. So, is there any way un-pause the mission without the Server taking up an aircraft slot? Thanks in advance.
  19. adding my vote for hornet and mud hen.
