Thanks @Wizxrd. Just what I was looking for. I had seen the END MISSION action but unsure how to implement the time part. Also like the way you've shown how to use the F10 menu. - cheers

Is there a way to program a MP mission to either end after an amount of time, or before via the F10 menu for clients, so that a dedicate server could load the next in a list? Thank you.

Poor choice of aircraft by the author it appears.
-
To me it looks like the aircraft are configuring for a STO without the ski jump and when the aircraft reaches a certain pitch attitude, using default logic to reduce pitch input. I have no idea how aircraft are programmed, but it appears that they need a 3rd takeoff profile, for lack of better phraseology, for a ski jump takeoff. I.E. 35 degree nozzle and maintain appropriate pitch attitude for STO until the aircraft is cleaned up. Anyway, like you said, either a RAZBAM or ED issue. FYI, just tested AV-8B on Kuznetsov 2017 from parking hot and all AI ended up taking a swim.
-
Yes. It doesn't seem to be a problem with the ship, but with AI pilot behavior. Everything looks good until they leave the ski jump, but then they don't hold their pitch attitude. Instead they lower it, the plane begins to loose altitude, and the AI ejects. If there was a way to have them hold their pitch attitude, I think that they would be fine. Another thing that I noticed, which might not have impact, is that their nozzle setting looks more like 50 than 35. I think that I remember in one of the Harrier books that 35 degrees more common when using the ski jump? It seems right to me when I use it.

Some troubleshooting steps I might take are: 1) try using the default port, 10308 to make sure 10311 is not conflicting with something else. Unlikely, but worth a shot. 2) Review the port forwarding on your firewall. You should be forwarding from your server's LAN IP, both TCP and UDP on port 10308. Share a screenshot of your port forward setup if you like. 3) Is the check box for Public server checked? 4) Are you double NATed? Like your firewall has a private IP instead of public. What's the WAN side IP of your firewall? It can be dynamic, just not private. If you go to wtfismyip.com, does the result match the WAN IP of your firewall?

Adding my thanks @joey45for your creative work. jross and I at Mudspike are making a series of MP Falklands-esque missions in the Marianas map that we hope to wrap into a static campaign. It was a joy today to at last takeoff on a proper ski jump in the Harrier. Testing now to see how we can use your Hermès 82. -cheers

What worked for me. YMMV. In Windows, if your LAN is secure, turn on Network Discovery on both your gaming rig and the server. Once Network Discovery is on, you should be able to ping either computer by host name and see it in the server list with a very low ping. If you can't see it, click connect via IP and enter the LAN IP address. IME, once you connect find it in the list via IP, you can add it as a favorite. Once added as a favorite, it will populate at the top of the server list first, with the rest of the servers following shortly.

For me, after this latest openbeta update, the fonts are clear as any I've ever seen in DCS and completely readable in VR. There is an extreme difference in what we had previously. Using the DCS VR preset and latest Nvidia drivers on a RTX3080 and an HP Reverb G2, the problem is solved. But as always, YMMV.

This is resolved now with the today's OB patch.
-
I noticed this in the change log for today's OB update and wondered how it affects font readability. Updated: MPCD brightness, video gain and contrast control. Note: MPCD brightness, gain, symb and contrast keybinds must be done again. Edit: it's fixed now. Looks great in VR and 2D. Thanks RAZBAM.

The NTTR has Instant Action missions for the AV-8B. Or was I dreaming that?
-
I tried it a bit when it was first released, primarily to see if I was up to the challenge of flying a VSTOL jet. But got pulled away by other modules over the years, primarily the Hornet/SC and helos. Since the Harrier is like if a Hornet and a SH-60 Seahawk had babies, it's what I fly mostly now. And with the South Atlantic map coming up along with an asset pack, I've begun reading everything I can find about that conflict. Mirages, Scooters, and Pucaras, oh my! I want to be ready.

PUCARA IA-58 FMA ARGENTINA free mod

I think that it’s just a matter of editing the 3 mission briefings related to M09 to correct the TACAN frequency. I have to admit that it caused me some confusion. I managed to recover but missed any triggers associated with marshal. Question: I’ve been jumping around the training missions, and probably missed explanation of the term “anchor”. When given the instruction “anchor at waypoint 1”, I’ve been circling it with altitude hold on, maintain the assigned altitude and airspeed, while listening to the sometimes lengthy description of the mission. Is there a book definition of anchor? I.E., should it be flown more like an ATC hold with timed turns? Excellent training missions, BD. I have the impression that the instructor has RL experience in the AV-8B.

Working on the F-86 SABRE Key binds from a blank slate.

Take a look at RSMapper in the mods section. -
It’s twitchy above 50 kts, but not impossible to stay on the centerline. I’ve set a curve (25) on my pedal’s yaw axis, which really helps. Stay ahead of the plane and you’ll be fine. You can’t relax those feet above taxi speed.

Questions: TM Hornet Grip on VPC T50 CM2 base
Chipwich replied to Chipwich's topic in VIRPIL Controls
OK, thanks @Lucky That’s great info. I’m on a biz trip now, but will try that when I get home Sat night and report back. -
New to Virpil user. I have my TM Hornet Grip mounted on a TM50 CM2 base. I have run the Virpil Setup Software, calibrated and uploaded a profile, just enough so that it functions in the Windows 10 USB controller app and in DCS. Good so far. I'm using the MonsterTech T50 CM2 adapter bracket which makes it a snap to mount the base my existing MT desk mounts, with the stick position between legs. The light springs with tension backed out about 8 turns is working well, without an extension. My question is about the Hornet stick being about to rotate (yaw) right/left about 5-10 degrees no mater how well the collar is tightened. Is this normal? I'd like to rotate it counter-clockwise as seen from above about 15 degrees, but would like stick to not have any play. Is there a way to do this without an extension and have it firm? Or will an extension solve these issues? I do not detect any rotation of the base or the connector, but am worried about damaging the connector. TIA

What altitude? -
I haven't tried this, but latest manual top of page 56, "Navigate Initial Point" = Navigate Intiatial Point, "Navigate Target" = Navigate Surface Target, etc. Edit: Never mind. Just read your earlier post. Will not post back on this subject until I have tested it as resolved.

I've got this working fine. Things that help: 1) Use rio instead of jester which is sometimes recognised as gesture. 2) Make sure that on the Prefences tab of VAICOM config, that Extended Command Set is checked. 3) Hold whatever transmit button or key that you are using a little longer after you speak helps VA get the number of the steerpoint. In other words, if I say "rio navigate steerpoint one" I'll hold the transmit button a second after I say the word one. Otherwise VA only understands "navigate" and "steerpoint", but not "one". Now I'm getting it every time.

I haven’t confirmed this yet, but check out the manual bottom of page 55 for RIO navigation command syntax. Probably something like, “Jester navigate steerpoint one”.
