Worked for me. I was running 1.6 by 200 and dropped PD back to 1.0. This got rid of the milk screen. But curious that it just change in the latest beta build. O+ / 2080ti
-
I've found that with my 2080ti that SteamVR automatically sets your Video Resolution to 200%, which has a huge impact FPS wise on DCS. Note that I didn't say image quality, which seems unchanged. So, I've dropped it down to 100% and getting about a 25% increase in frame rate. With my rig (i7 8700 at 4.8 ) the best settings for image quality to FPS are below. With these settings I'm no lower than 45 fps, usually around 48-50. Hope this helps. SteamVR Video Res manually set to 100%: DCS Options preset: VR Textures: High MSAA: 2x PD: 2.0

Hmm, OK thanks Panther. That might work. Using the MonsterTech mounts with the MFD wings. I'll kick that 4" clamp idea around. Appreciate it.

Hey Panther, I've probably got that X-grip collecting dust in the motorcycle parts box. Do you mind saying what you using to mount the RAM ball to your desk/pit? TIA

That's great news Bamse. I ordered mine 8/1, so have been waiting for the parts elves to catch up. Another vote for an F/A-18 UFC, legacy or super. Either would be awesome.

List of Hornet Keyboard Commands
Chipwich replied to bwRavencl's topic in Controller Questions and Bugs
EDIT: Hmm. I never had taken the time to click the MAKE HTML button. \Saved Games\DCS\InputLayoutsTxt\FA-18C_hornet\Keyboard.html is what I am looking for. Thanks. -
List of Hornet Keyboard Commands
Chipwich replied to bwRavencl's topic in Controller Questions and Bugs
I wish that the manual had a list of the keyboard shortcuts, like most of the other modules. Is there a way to dump them from the sim? The HOTAS graphics above are a help, but there are a lot more commands that I typically bind (gear, launch bar, refueling probe, hook, views, etc.) -
Or perhaps you need to program Hold instead of Pulse to the command (using TM TARGET phraseology). If the command is pulsed, you would only get a millisecond of input on that axis.

Thank you Assaf. Very helpful.

You forgot a timer. So plot the legs, measure the distance, calculate airspeed allowing for climb, decent, atmospheric conditions and magnetic declination, take note of obvious landmarks, and then time the leg, cross checking your progress using landmarks as a reference as long as the surface was visible. Peice of cake :smilewink:

There is a whole lot more in there besides input. Missions, campaign progress, custom knee boards, logbook, etc. I'd be careful with that folder. Would be better to know specifics, which I do not.

Shouldn't they be posted in this forum section though? In other words, why the exception?

Werewolf's Re-Heat Afterburner Mod (DCS 1.5)

Love the podcast guys. Wish that it was released more often, but understand the effort involved. I'm resurecting my old gaming rig in order to get my 3 year old Scarlett out of my lap every time I flight sim. She absolutely loves flying and until she is old enough for leasons, she needs a rig to build her flying chops. The plan is to roll my current rig to her each time I upgrade, or about every 3 years. The TM Flight Pack would help immensely. Cheers and happy new year!

I just emailed you one that I built a while ago, but should still be good. For TrackIR make sure to program Center, Pause, and Precision buttons. Precision is overlooked but really smooths the movement. I am using the communications hat in my profile for this. To use the TARGET profile, drop it in your TM TARGET folder. I've moved mine to my Saved Games folder, but I believe that the default is Documents\TM TARGET or something similar. Run the TARGET GUI and if you don't see it in the list of GUI Configurations -> Custom, click the Edit Configuration button top center. Then navigate to the folder where you put my profile, open it, save it, and now it will be under GUI Configurations. Click on top of it and then click Run. Good luck. -
Here you go. Simple takeoff from Nellis, two ship at 0900. Edit: added a screenshot from the mission. My kneeboards are resized and relocated with Kneeboard Builder so that they work with the Rift, but the KIF works fine in this mode. [F-5E] NEVADA 0900 Takeoff.miz

Brixmis, you probably know this, but the F-5E kneeboard is working in 2.0.3. For sure broken in 1.5.4. Very cool to have the guides on the kneeboard. Thank you.

These settings work really well fo me. https://forums.eagle.ru/showthread.php?t=173483

+1 what Skatezilla said.. I also have to load my Warthog profile with TARGET before I load Oculus for it to work, so for me it's TARGET, then Oculus, then DCS.

Rudder controls and nose wheel steering
Chipwich replied to mherssens's topic in F-15C for DCS World
I also add a curve to my rudder axis at about 25 seems to work smoothing out those takeoff and landing inputs.
