  1. Result is the same, just more CPU usage on the cores used and less on the not used cores. Feels overall a bit less smooth, maybe because the cores now run close to max usage (on some moments they went op to 98-99%). OB 2.7.7: All cores (Hyperthreading OFF) 2 cores (0 and 2 in the shot below = CPU 1 and 3 but test with cores 1 and 3 (CPU 2 and 4) was the same), Hyperthreading OFF Result with Stable 2.7.6. was also the same, all or only 2 cores same result, but better FPS compared to OB (see post a bit up):
  2. Just ran a CPU core test, it jumps between each of them, stable and open beta. I still run Win 10 (no joy in upgrading to Win 11 with my system, i don't pass the tests). Mission: Instant action: F-16C: Free Flight: Caucasus, exact same settings in both. (VSync + FPS limiter off which i normally have on and set to 60 to let the FPS "fly" un-restrictedly). Waited until the mission text in the upper right corner vanished. Then took 3 shots within the minute, +/- around the same time in the mission, same terrain same clouds. Stable 2.7.6.: Open Beta 2.7.7.
  3. Screenshots are taken at exact the same moment in the track i used to mesure. Included in zip: DXDiag -- FPS test stable and open beta tracks (same mission) -- DCS logs both stable and open beta -- screenshots of both settings (but they are the same). Although i still wonder how one can see an fps loss on a track if it is played on another computer? If i play someone else's track, it plays with my setting at my PC's performance. Just did a test with Limaro's track from a few posts above, the loss from "old" nostable to open beta is clearly visible, with my tracks and his track. If i play whatever track from someone else the result is always the same, fps loss between both!! I also wonder why not one single PC over at ED's is showing this problem let it be a low, medium or high end machine. DCS Test.zip
  4. Thought so after reading your commend but that's not the case.
  5. The new splash effect is far better then old one imo.
  6. That's how i did it in the first place. Just can't remember the pitch up was that hugh. I never did, guess you misinterpreted what i said in my first post (or i described it wrong, whatever you prefer).
  7. You're talking in riddles for me because: - Aft stick to "unstick" and then push forward to stop the pitch up: just tried it, it doesn't "unstick" and the behaviour of the airplane is exactly the same, unsticked or not. - Use the trim to fly the airplane or use the stick and then trim to relieve the stick has exactly the same outcome in aircraft behaviour.
  8. I'm gonna check that out.
  9. Recently (don't know from when, bin a while since i've flown the F-5E) i notice that once the aircraft takes off it has the tendency to put his nose up quite heavily. It needs a lot of trim to get into level flight with minor stick input. I can't remember such a heavy trim was needed. If i don't trim, the F-5 just stalls. Looked into controls, they are working just fine. Did something change in the past few updates (stable and beta)?
  10. Time they fix this again...
  11. That's your problem. This option is bugged, somehow it seems like it remembers your last input or something like that. Better uncheck it.
  12. More like easy and not so easy...
  13. For that alone Skate's utility is a dream.
  14. Do you really think ED/DCS is a stand alone in this? Just read this, it's about MSFS performance and this post handles exactly about the same thing. Maxis posted: I "demand" stock ultra !.. When i heard that we were going to get this sim i made a point to build my pc according to the highest recommended specs the game specified. Performance was awesome for what ? till around service update 2 ? So i played the upgrade game in January so i could keep my visuals the way i wanted them to be without suffering too much at an airport like ORD-JFK-LAX. I will keep playing the upgrade game to keep the visuals i want. Which is ultimately to fly into JFK with a system heavy airliner with ultimate traffic and all the sliders to the right with the fps not dropping below 30fps at slightly above 1440p (render scale 110-115% (value meal 4k). Thankfully the sim is not yet developed for that to be simulated so im actually able to have smooth flights into JFK at present with the FBW A320 but we will see when the PMDG stuff drops and AI traffic bugs get squashed. (Have a feeling another round of upgrades are in order next year)
  15. The "and still does" can be scrapped because it has stopped working too (both my original and newly created are from 2 different providers).
  16. I just wonder why one needs a track or mission as prove. The difference is clearly there even on a simple static view. Example: F-16: Ready on the ramp: waited +/- 30 sec for the FPS to stabilize, it then stays just a fix value. Stable 2.7.6.13436: 91 FPS Open Beta: 2.7.7.15038: 73 FPS Stable: OpenBeta: Same settings for both Stable and OB.
  17. Oh boy this Github... why is it so complicated? Always makes me nervous when ending up there. Finding the correct download link always seems to be a big problem for me (yeah i'm getting old). Who not: Latest version --> link --> click?
  18. But it does and will do so in the future... and yes, i did read everything.
  19. There's nothing to Wow about that, it is pure reality, like it or not (and i don't either but at least i know what to expect). When i get a new game/rig i start at the lower end of the settings and then i only go up and even then i make sure i have some headroom so i don't have to tickle the settings every patch. If you do it like most people, set everything to max and then have to go lower each time on your settings, dissapointement is your deal. That's my almost 40 years of gaming experience in a nutshell. Maybe but then...you are the one who seems to be dissapointed, not me. And i don't even have half the perfommance you have. I'm still playing....
  20. No you don't but you've become at a point that performance will go down, don't expect it to be the other way around. And, you're still running an "old" 9900 when a 12900 is just around the corner. Time to cash out man, that is how pure capitalism works.
  21. Still: Going back a couple of years: - Intel 950 - GTX480 - 8GB RAM: Oh wow, i can as good as max out everything. Then after some updates sliders and settings needed to come down, step by step, to keep that FPS up and up to point where an update was need ed to keep it running smootly and decent eye candy. - Intel i7 4770K@3.5Ghz - GTX 780 - 16 GB: Oh wow, i can as good as max out everything. Then after some updates sliders and settings needed to come, step by step, down to keep that FPS up and up to point where an update was need ed to keep it running smootly and decent eye candy. - Intel i7 4770K@4.5Ghz - GTX 1080Ti - 32 GB: Oh wow, i can as good as max out everything. Then after some updates sliders and settings needed to come down, step by step, to keep that FPS up and up to point where an update was need ed to keep it running smootly and decent eye candy. If everything should run on old computers i could have kept my Commordore C-64, even my VIC-20 before that. I'm now at the point where i'm thinking about upgrading again to keep up. Problem is this: Just looked at a 3090 in my local store, 2 available, one at 2899€ (inc VAT) and the other at 2999€. And then i can't get by with a 3090 alone because it doesn't fit in my current case. So a total upgrade comes to mind. I made a list with prices a couple of months ago, today i need to cash out around 1000€ extra just to buy the stuff on that list and then it contains "old stuff" like DDR4 RAM and 11 gen CPU. Same goes for a decent motherboard. No way i will cash out that amount of money to get an update. In that other civil sim i'm down to a locked 30FPS to make it run a bit smooth and still have "some" nice graphics. It's happens not just with ED, it happens in every "demanding" game.
  22. Have you ever seen something heavy running decent on a virtual machine?
  23. Well, hasn't it been always like this in the past? If no, then why did i buy a new PC every few years (counting back to early 1980's). I tell you... just to keep up with ever more demanding software. It happened then, and it still happens today and not only on ED's behalf. Only drawback (and holding me back to upgrade) are the superhigh prices of hardware these days.
  24. Using Open Composite is (was) the only option to use some of the shader packages. They didn't work through the Oculus API.
