Hi all, recently I put a msg on the hyperlobby forums requesting Jiri to implement Fc2/DCS for it. And it looks like he is looking in to possibilities however, we need to tell him that there are people that actually want this, so I'm asking everyone who uses the Hyperlobby system to show their support by requesting him for it. If there is little or no support I doubt we will see support for FC2/DCS or much interest in implementing it. Here is the thread http://hyperfighter.sk/modules.php?name=Forums&file=viewtopic&t=7732 Peace

Clicking sound fix added for cockpit afterburner in the first post. Peace

Realism Server by =RvE= Integrity checks as follows: Config/Weapons Config/ServerGraphics.cfg Sounds/Sound.cfg Sounds/SoundDescr.lua Scripts/Aircrafts/_Common/sfm_aerod.lua Scripts/Aircrafts/_Common/sfm_engine.lua Scripts/Aircrafts/_Common/Damage.lua Scripts/Database/db_sensors.lua Scripts/Database/db_weapons.lua =RvE= Server is completely Leavu and ERI friendly, Infact we will soon be hosting a Leavu Dedicated Datalink Server for people to join on RED or BLUE. It's there in the ERI mod which yoda made... Peace

I'm fully aware of that we aren't looking at colorful cars... and there is no reason for you to be condescending about it.... however you seem to forget we are looking at objects through a computer screen.... It doesn't matter if ED spoke to RL pilots... my eyes don't lie... I assume you were glasses.
-
I have to agree with the guys... the ground vehicle visibility is not right in FC2.... I'm not sure how many Models ED uses for various distances... this would be interesting to find out... and also the amount of LOD per vehicle. Currently as it stands the ground pounders have a very tough time looking for targets specially when on a S&D type of mission. As far as spotting a vehicle is concerned.... here is a practical example... If you live in a very high apartment building "like i do" look and see how far out you can see cars and all types of vehicles... and then realize that these vehicles are half or even quarter the size of military vehicles used in FC2... You will then come to your own conclusions... For this sort of test or understanding you only need to use your own "eyes" and you will get the answer very clearly. You can debate about this till the cows come home... But your own eyes don't lie... What some don't realize is that the Sim doesn't fully compensate for the high resolution eye site that we have and this is where the problem i think comes from.... Maybe investigation in to this matter would be a good idea Edit: here is a good article on the capabilities of the Human eye http://clarkvision.com/imagedetail/eye-resolution.html Peace

Sigh.... So am I to assume u are paranoid of strike aircraft like A-10's and Su25T's shooting you down??
-
Strike aircraft don't have radar, therefore nothing shows up even if they have leavu on. The only thing that could be D'Linked to strike aircraft is locked targets picked up by fighters "if" on the same Leavu server. I think u need to get your facts in order before you paint a broad brush about the workings of this software. By doing so you not only diminish the work put in by yoda, but also discourage other folks from giving it a shot and enjoying it. You obviously haven't tried it therefore u know squat about it. Modern cars have also have a GPS.. get with the times, dont like it? don't use it. Simple as that

Doc by any chance is your mod compatible with Jumper/Archer's F15 Cockpit mod. What i mean is... Can i use some of those cockpit textures along with the Canopy Frame and New HUD that you have made? Thanks
-
New version 1.01 will be coming out very shortly that will resolve any cracking sound issues. I have already begun work on it, stay tuned! Peace
-
Lovely work Doc! Looking forward to using your awesome mod. Thanks for your efforts!

Can you specify what boom sound this is? This pack has not been tested with Blackshark and you will need to explain more of what you are hearing in order for me to understand what you are saying. As I have mentioned in the first post You have to adjust your Cockpit sound slider, You might need to drop it to anywhere between 30-40% for your systems or even more. Adjust your sound sliders first, and then try them in game. As far as cracking or anything of the sort is concerned please refer to my first post, this is another indication that your sound sliders are way too loud. You should not be hearing any sort of cracking! These sounds are setup to be more silent than the stock sounds that came with FC2, so if anyone is hearing anything out of the ordinary, be sure to know its not the sounds, but your setup that is incorrect. I'm here to answer any questions regarding any technical issues. Peace!

Turn down your cockpit Slider!

Link added! Its now available on Lockonfiles

Guys engine sounds for russian planes are also affected in this pack, only thing is I didn't rework the warning or betty sounds for russian planes, but you will hear new sound effects for Russian jets too! Peace!

Hi everyone, I recently started work new on a High Quality sound pack for FC2, and I just managed to complete the first version of it. It took me around 2 weeks and many hours to compile, mix and create some of the best sounds in the aviation world (From real Jets) There are just way to many sounds to list, that have been replaced and redone. A few easy ones to remember are Gears,Brakes,Engines, afterburner,Guns,Flaps and the list goes on and on. Most improvements have been done for the F-15C but other jets also sound very different too. Along with this I have even tweaked the (English) Bitchin Betty/ Cockpit warning sounds. I have kept file sizes to a minimum and the entire sound pack compressed is about 8.7megs and they are in High Quality .ogg format. This is Version 1.0 and I will continually update other jets with upcoming sound packs if and when I get time. To install follow these steps: 1.Rename/Backup and remove your Effects folder in your Sounds folder. 2.Go to your Sounds/Speech/English folder and you will see a folder called BETTY, Rename it or back it up and remove it! 3.Install the sound pack with the latest version of Modman. Edit:Link Added below LINK: http://www.lockonfiles.com/modules.php?name=Downloads&d_op=viewdownloaddetails&cid=277&lid=1769&title=FuSiOn's%20realism%20sounds%20v1.0#dldetails Important One last thing, You have to adjust your Cockpit Sound Slider's according to your system settings, because every system has a different sound card and setup, Hint: To gauge the optimal effect overall test by hearing your afterburners in cockpit, it should have a Bass like rumbling effect which should be clearly audible but not Loud! I hope you all enjoy them as much as I do! EDIT: Clicking sound fix http://www.mediafire.com/?tmnztzzto2w Simply replace this CockpitAfterburner.ogg from the pack with this one... No more clicking! Peace!

Mustang this was happening to me also, the solution for it i found was to reduce Res of cockpit displays from 1024 ever frame to something like 512 or 256 Peace

Guys any thoughts on tinkering with the light source? As in the omni lighting in lockon. I think if we find a way to play with em it will generate some good results
-
Anyone know how to change the lighting at all in lockon FC2? I think if we tinker with this we would get some more realistic looking terrain and some better shadows! I'm hoping someone knows what some of those values do or how to edit them! Peace
-
Thanks for your work Silent and Blaze!

Is someone working on an Airbase mod for FC 2 ??
RvEFuSiOn replied to Ghostrida9's topic in DCS Modding
Very impressive! looking forward to its release! Peace -
Honestly ive never liked this sky mod, its very unrealistic. Anyone know how to change sky colors yet??
-
Use Yoda's ERI mod, it helps tremendously, try to keep target on gimbals, and know when to go cold and always have an exit strategy before entering a fight, and most important of all... fight more human players. Edit: There is nothing like fighting a 1v1 with a better opponent online and doing a debrief on what you could have done better... you will not get better flying offline since the AI cant tell you what you did wrong. Peace
-
Now that is a good looking sky! I'm also very interested in finding out how this can be done, since the current sky doesn't look great by any measure
