Maybe recheck your key/stick bindings? I don't think I've ever had anything like that happen to me, regardless of how low I fly. My only thought is the possibility of taking small arms fire to the hydraulic system, or wind shear.

DW is a lot more realistic as far as sound profiling than the SH series. Depending on target aspect ratio and the layer/convergence zones, you might not always get a visible return. ...If only dangerous waters could run under SH4 graphics... Also, I believe different mods are MP compatible on DW. Anyone hear otherwise?

Am I the only one using RA/DWX? :(

Aye aye. So happy to finally have found another naval commander. I will try my hardest to free up some time with you this weekend. My platform of choice is the FFG though. Lemme know what's up; keep in touch. :D

I dunno. Personally I love all the switch flipping. -

Precisely whey there's an auto start up sequence key command :pilotfly: -

Yup I'm down. I think it would be totally cool to have several new jets, even with basic flight models. The nav and targeting gear could be just as detailed as it is in all other FC aircraft and it would be super fun. However, I do agree with everyone else. You need to work on your switch flipping man. I can usually get my shark in the air while the hud's still warming up in around the same amount of time it takes me to get up in FC :) -
DCS. Would you release a Beta to the public again?
riboyster replied to Novac-185th's topic in DCS: A-10C Warthog
I'm totally for this. I had rock-solid game performance with the betas, then it disappeared. -
I heard bomb as well. Truth is, we can't expect the media to get it right, they way they bend truth and stories. The only guys who will know for sure are the operators who actually did the deed. In contrast, getting shot in the head and obliterated by a bomb have the same eventual effect on animals: CERTAIN DEATH.

Every SEAL team in Afghanistan has an operational Combat Controller attached to it. It may have just been SEALs if they got him in Iraq, but Afghan is a different story. Regardless of who called in the final shot, I'm sure countless men and women have played a role in the action and I am very grateful to be fighting along side people like this. ED should host a huge dedicated server for all DCS owners in honor of this :music_whistling:

I guarantee 50% chance it was USAF combat control that called in the bomb. Hooyah.

Confirm that you have the bleed air switch off, and oxygen flow switch off. Your pilot should be blacking out...

Here's an interesting hint, although it has to do with the TGP during night ops, not NVG. Often I prefer to use the CCD instead of FLIR to retain framerate at night. A good way to do this is to change the brightness of the MFD you're using to 0, and the contrast to around 35. This should magnify any faint light that the TV sensor picks up into a reasonable target acquisition brightness. And there's no frame loss! Just a thought.

You're right. It's a physical addiction anyway. I flew again today because I love DCS so much. The framerate is just breaking my heart (everything's on absolute low) and I don't know how else to express my agony :pain: Downloading full .7 edition. Hopefully that'll smooth things out like it has for others.
-
Dang man you're lucky. I've got a dual core and I rarely ever make 20fps at any given point.
-
Did the whole thing Wags mentioned. No change in FPS. Putting this game off for the next year, or at least until they fix the framerate for machines that don't have an i7
-
Yeah you're good to go, but I'd get rid of vista and grab windows 7. You might get a performance boost.
-
No change here. Bout 5fps average throughout gameplay. No reason to come back to warthog anytime soon.
-
You should probably do the training missions or RTFM
-
I can run BS on medium settings with a beautiful framerate. I run Warthog on lowest settings and it's unflyable. Point being, if you don't have a top of the line computer, you're screwed. I won't be downloading the patch.

Possibly never.

Haha believe it or not, there isn't much of a selection over here. And don't worry, I don't think anyone's seriously pissed off at the thread. For the most part I think people are just harassing you in a brotherly way :P I'm sorta liking the trend of this thread

That picture makes me as sexually frustrated as this thread is pointless :)

Wow, this mission looks unbelievable. It's definitely gonna be nice with TARS running. Each of the three flights will be able to communicate via a shared AM station, and then intraflight comms will be with the UHF and emergency with FM. Really appreciate all the time and effort put into this mission, I'm gonna fly it with the boys today.
