This isn't a question, but I couldn't find a better place to post. I think this is a bug, but correct me if I'm wrong: In the most recent version, while sitting on the ground in the F-15, it is possible to radiate if you select vertical scan mode, then BVR. Haven't tested it with any other mode aside from Vertical before BVR. Only noticed it in the Eagle so far.

Just wanted to say that I'll be buying the beta when it comes out, and I fully support a functional DCS Mirage model. Keep up the good work!

As long as they figure relative humidity into the visibility of the moisture cone, I'm game. I just don't want to be seeing it at FL300, if you catch my drift.

I second this, instantaneously. Let the community work on jets. DCS needs more playability. Multiplayer is bland and unrealistic. :helpsmilie: Not complaining. Just giving feedback. Take it however you will. IMO DCS can upgrade its game engine and have a crapload of great flight models, but still only be just as good as Falcon as long as it has no dynamic campaign that can be influenced by human interaction.

Good so far! I adjusted my weather (noticed you had it on dynamic) to allow more deviation. The winds had kicked up substantially by my 3rd landing. Another interesting mission; looking forward to seeing how it progresses :) Ironically, I was also playing with inclement weather several days ago. Tried flying in perfect icing conditions without anti/deice. Didn't notice any engine icing on huey, control surfaces seemed normal. I did notice my EGT on port engine in Hip fluctuating. The flight profile didn't feel any different though. Does anyone know if icing is implemented yet? Was aiming for engine flameout or pitot icing, but so far no good.

It seems pretty simple. My thoughts are that you should emplace some sorta AA gun in the forest near the objective. It was really quiet for me. Too bad we can't have WWII naval gunfire. The tomahawks were cool, but not very exciting. I sorta feel like there isn't enough resistance. Keep up the good work, man.

You guys are neglecting the increased drag on the leading edge caused by supersonic gasses emanating from the rocket motor.

Been looking around on the forums, and haven't found anything. Are we gonna be able to hotstart our engines at some point? Has this been covered? It was one of the first things I tried to do when I jumped in the pit.

I fully back Vintovka's recommendation. He and I play SP campaign together and I can assure you that the immersion is amazing. Use the list that he linked, 70 mods sounds like a lot but the game is simply unplayable without most of them. Silent Hunter 5 surpasses Silent Hunter 4 by about 80% IMO and is definitely worth playing for any naval combat enthusiast.

Same. I usually won't uncage unless my HUD's knocked out in a thick fog. But even then you only have like 5 mins to get to an airfield before it flies you into the ground.

Yes, its apparent that instead of expanding software, DCS should instead take several months off to focus on making their sims playable. Maybe drop everything back down to the original Black Shark specs so that the more poverty stricken simmers can still play. Course, that's only one man's opinion.

DCS programs have been processor whores ever since Beta 3 of Warthog. It seems that as time goes on, average DCS framerate seems to degenerate. The original Black Shark was the best thing so far to have come from DCS, and I find anything past that unplayable unless you posses the current top-notch equipment, and have the money to upgrade your rig every year. Don't mean to be a party pooper, just being real.

haha holy sh*t 500kph. IIRC even comanche 3 modeled blade stall to some degree. just pokin fun at you DCS guys. obviously I'm a good Hokum pilot and rarely exceed my flight envelope limits. So, is future modelling of blade stall practical? Yes, if you're gonna shoot down a valley in chase by an F-15. No, if you're gonna fly the chopper as it was meant to be flown, using your Shkval wipers to clear the grass and mud from the screen.

The problem with that is that (from what I understand) the guys at DCS are not interested in modeling aircraft that need more than one crewmember. A lot of people want the Apache, but there aren't any one-seat versions around. I'd imagine the pilot workload for a single dude sitting in a B-1 would be massive.

:D But in all seriousness: DCS needs to make a Cobra simulator. I've wanted to fly one ever since Comanche 3.
