  1. I'm waiting on a replacement mobo for my sim rig, so I haven't had a chance to try mine yet :(
  2. Just to add to all of that, you'd need to also have a pair of "speed jeans" inflating and deflating the whole time...
  3. Funny... In over 30 years as a pilot, I never once walked onto the flight line and looked at a jet thinking to myself "I hope it has fragile nose gear that will collapse if I don't land properly!" :music_whistling:
  4. Yes.. I knew that... same logo... but different culture in 103 than in 84.
  5. You mean VF-84? LOL!! If you look closely at the renders, you'll see that the pilots are wearing the classic VF-84 yellow helmets! I think we're sure to get VF-84 as one of the liveries! Ya know...if I hadn't become an Air Force pilot, I would have probably been a Naval aviator instead... and VF-84 was the squadron I would've wanted to be in! My best friend in high school JROTC went on to the Naval Academy and became a Tomcat driver in VF-84! Those guys were legendary! Too bad the squadron was de-activated. FEAR THE BONES!
  6. I seriously doubt either team will ever move to the F-35... far too expensive an aircraft to fly as a demo aircraft. (and far too ugly in my opinion) The DoD is going to want every single airframe it buys to either train pilots or work for a living. They are currently scraping the bottom of the money barrels for every single airframe they buy - and dedicating 16-18 of those airframes strictly for demo teams is simply not going to happen. The biggest modification is that they would have to remove the stealth coating in order to paint them blue or white - that alone is an extremely costly process. Just too many expensive modifications would be needed to use it as a demo aircraft. Besides, the Blue Angels are planning to move to the Super Hornet in the near future (they recently sent Boeing some kind of RFP for converting the SH to a demo aircraft) and they will fly that for at least 10+ years. I can pretty much guarantee you that the Air Force's budget will never include F-35s for Thunderbirds - they'll stick with F-16s until the end of their service life - then they'll probably switch to the next-gen trainer that is currently in the proposal phase.
  7. I'm good with whatever variant you do! Just know that we all truly appreciate your hard work and generous contribution to the sim!
  8. Excellent! Thanks for the update, Lynx! I'm glad to know this is still in the works! I'm definitely a customer for multiple units! My primary uses will be DCS, BMS and P3D. I plan to have multiple units on either side of my Obutto frame.
  9. Just curious to know if this is still gonna happen - if so, I'm very interested in getting multiple units! Any new info to share?
  10. I saw the the screens of your E/F/G bugs, Skate... those are some sweet models! Hope we'll one day see them as AI!
  11. Are you still manufacturing those switch tops? Because if you are, I'd be interested in getting some of those, as well, to go along with these!
  12. EXACTLY!!!
  13. I'm using the BMS 1.02.0... works like a champ!
  14. I'd love to get a couple of the throttle kits! PM me the order details!
  15. I'd invest in a couple of these - As long as they're plug-n-play!
  16. Sorry... I meant to let you know that this mod works just fine in 2.0 as well!
  17. Many thanks for this! I'll try it out in 2.0 and let you know if it works!
  18. Any chance you could share with us what you've already done? It looks fantastic! Just the values you used in your videos would be great!
  19. Hi Blooze, We've spoken about this before in PMs... I'd like to do some online flying with a group and I'm pretty good with the Hawg... my only problem is that I travel a lot for work - both domestically and internationally - and it varies from week to week, so my inclusion would sometimes be sporadic - at best. Also... I've never done any "online" flying before, so I'd need to set up my system for it. I mostly have done single-player ops in DCS and BMS.. but I'm quite proficient at formation flying and military ops. That said, though, I'd like to join in! I'm mostly available in the evenings - after 5:00pm EST Greg
  20. Just curious to know if it is possible for us to edit (in either an .fx file or a .lua file) the Hex/RGB color values of the 3D lights in the NTTR? Currently all 3D city light "bulbs" (streetlamps, headlights, etc.) and the runway edge light "bulbs" are all stark white and it's very flat-looking. I'm sure ED plans to tweak it at some point in the future, but in the interim, if it is possible, I'd like to play around with the values to try and achieve the soft golden/amber/orange color that is more representative of street lights and runway lights at night. Does anyone know if this color value is editable in any of the .fx files? Many thanks!
  21. I certainly would be interested, though I'd have to set up a server to run it. A tool that I REALLY liked was the FS Recorder module that was developed for FSX. You could record multiple tracks and play back as many as you wanted to build formations - and it even rendered out butter-smooth frame-based video at any resolution you wanted. Only drawback was that it couldn't export the sound for videos. But still... it was one of the best third-party modules Ive ever used. I wish he had continued developing it for P3D compatibility. Now if you could write a module like that - well, you'd be considered a GOD in the DCS community! LOL!
  22. No...unfortunately not. It's a feature I truly wish they would incorporate, but sadly I don't think it will ever be something they'll consider. One can always hope!
  23. In real life - yes, only audible outside the cockpit.
  24. It's a very prominent sound heard around the Nellis flight line - considering all of the PW-equipped Aggressor Eagles & Vipers - and especially when there's a Red Flag exercise in progress. Would be VERY appropriate to add it to the Eagle - especially now that we are about to have a highly realistic version of Nellis AFB! Curiously, there are already sound files for it in the Sounds/Effects/Aircrafts/F-15C folder - but it isn't implemented in the aircraft.
