Cheers, that's what i understood also, so here's what i did. Set up several flights, AWACS, TANKERs, and FAC (predator). SET frequencys to VHF either FM or AM, and checked they worked on those radios. All good. Then did nothing else, but changed the frequency of each in turn, to the UHF, 255.000, and no response from either. I know the radio works, cause i can give instruction to my wingman on 251.00 (default), and the only thing i changed is the frequency. Only thing i can think of, is those aircraft (or the controller in case of predator), are not equipped with the AN/ARC-164 radio. ?

How can i set a flight (AI) to the UHF radio band. ? ( i can do it with the AM or FM bands no problem). Cheers

I agree, ILS for Kutaisi don't work on that mission/trk. I changed the frequency to Kolkhi, and worked fine. Also created a mission on approach to Kutaisi, and 109.75 tuned into ILS fine. If you don't get the tone, u don't have the ils. brokenIls.trk

Its between the EGI and the HARS switchs on the nav panel. (horizontal toggle switch). U sure that your close enough to the base to receive the signal ? ILS does not have much range. Have a look at the trk below. ILSCheck.trk

Welcome, spark, to the forums. If you don't hear the ILS tone, then you are either not tuned correctly, or the ILS panel power switch is in the wrong position. it can be hard to distinguish between the ILS and TCN when they are bot on, so i suggest you get the ILS one going, and beeping first, then silence it with the ILS button on the LHS radio panel. Then get the TCN one working. Make sure that the ILS needles are not 'CAGED', its a small toggle switch on the NAV panel behind the stick. Hmm, You are better learning visual landing techniques, before ILS IMHO, but that's your choice. Also note that the broken ILS (no director), has been discussed on these threads at length, and i suggest you look them up before putting too much effort into ILS in DCSA10,

Cheers RidgeDx, Getting a better understanding now of FC, and how it works. Not sure what other mode there is apart from those above, so for me pretty much works once mav is SOI, and its correct weapon. But only snaps to FC when the cursor is slewed, after BOAT CTR. That's the bit i was missing, (since its combersome to 'rock the boat' and slew on my coougar).. Good stuff. Ok, now i got the bug pretty much pinned down. On the attached miz, with 6H's which i know is not realisitc, but the problem is easier to reproduce. It does happen with smaller loadouts, sometimes with 2H's. Please try to fire all 6 randomly in FC mode. Some times the cursor gets 'trapped' and you can only free it briefly with tms down. Problem is FC is no good unless it can b used consistently. And, if you slave the tgp to the mav, (switch tgp on one mfd, mav on the other as SOI) and maximise the slew rate (slow it right down), you can get a pretty good FC on the object from well outside the mav screen's visible range, by looking at the TGP view. Hmm, On second thoughts, mabe its easier, as you describe, -to slave from TGP

And, when you select a radio, the name of the radio appears above the commands. So you cant go wrong!!

Ive been with TIR since v2, and have had and used every combination. In order of preference I would recomend the following 1 .TIR5 + PRO CLIP 2. TIR4 + PRO CLIP 3. TIR5 + Vector hat clip 4. TIR4 + Vector hat clip. For me the difference between the first pair (1&2) and the second (3&4) IS SIGNIFICANT.. Since i got tir5 and pro clip, my tir has never missed a beat! Yes the clip is weak, but it can be reinforced at the point it breaks, before it breaks (though i did it after it broke). Check out this post for how to do it.

Thanks for the help. Tracked down the problem, but not solved yet. Is with the program on my cougar. Works fine when using the keys. No need for slewing and rocking the boat at the same time (would be difficult for me since thumb does both slew and boat!!). Update, Controller configured better now. And got the above technique working slew+boat. I can show how this would work 'ok' on the warthog, but not on a cougar. Could not see the logic of doing it this way, since you may not want to move the cursor away from a current location, when going back to centroid mode. Would have thought a simple toggle of the boat off center would do the job, maybe there's a logical explaination. Maybe someone in the know would know better. Cheers.

Cheers, guys, And Viper for the trk, Issue 1 seems to be related to my mission, as it works fine for me with your mission Viper. My bad for not trying with another mission. :doh: I will investigate the first issue more with my mission. However I tried to go back to normal mode, and no matter what position the boat switch was in, the second mav remained in FC mode. Maybe something im still missing. Been looking at this again after some time. I see an issue I use FC to slew and release the first Mav on a rak of 2 AGM 65H, Then I put the second one in FC mode, But this time it does not move freely, i must press TMS down short before slewing, and once i stop slewing, i have to do this again. I tried swapping back to different AGM's on another station and even firing then, then back to the 65H, and also switched the EO off and restarted, waiterd till it warmed up, and the 65H was still in 'FC' mode, but same problem with slewing. Also wondering shoud there be a way to cancel Force Correlate mode, to get back to normal mode. Update Getting back to centroid from FC mode, seems cumbersome, but don't know if its a bug or not....

:music_whistling: Hope i understand your question. Too much else to concentrate on in the dive, and it would not have helped me. Trimmed fine before the dive. Stick and rudder do fine to give me the alignment i need, and hold it during the attack.

IFFCC switch to TEST DATA rocker on UFC to toggle concent mode. IFFCC back to ON Manual 1.1.1.1 pg 360 :smilewink:

To eliminate line of sight issues with the HMVV, use predator @9k instead, to confirm all else is correct. Give it a circling action at first waypoint. Also make sure WP advanced actions look like this in this order. Orbit (h-Hwpt=9000 feet) FAC Set FREQ (30) FM. FAC Assign Group. (choose the group you want the FAC to identify). U know when u use the right mic button, cause the radio type comes up at the top. Good luck
