  1. Did you do that after updating the beta to 2.5? Luckily I kept a copy of my beta before the update, so I am going back to start again :(
  2. Yeah so I am having the exact same issue. Followed the steps in the link above and now I am getting "Version 2.5.0.13818.311 is not available" Any ideas? === Log opened UTC 2018-01-31 11:15:13 INFO : DCS_Updater/2.6.23.34 (Windows NT 10.0.16299; Win64; en-AU) INFO : cmdline: "F:\Program Files\Eagle Dynamics\DCS World OpenBeta\bin\DCS_updater.exe" --apply install NORMANDY_terrain STATUS: Initializing... 3. In anticipation of the F18 module release, I am trying to put together a basic AV8B aircraft definition for DCS Bios so that I can learn what is involved. So far I have figured out how to get the necessary parameters for inputs, but for some reason when running in live view mode I can see the state of the switches/buttons when I change them in game but can't actually change them using the buttons in the live view screen. Simple stuff here, for instance: definePushButton("MMP_NAV_MODE", 11, 3001, 282, "Master Modes Panel", "NAV Master Mode") definePushButton("LMPCD_01", 25, 3001, 200, "Left MPCD", "OSB 1") defineToggleSwitch("MAP_MASTER_ARM", 28, 3001, 287, "Master Armament Panel", "Master Arm Switch") Secondly, can anyone give me any clues as to where to get the output values from for the AV8B? Looking through the other module definitions I can see that these are usually found in mainpanel_init.lua or in the *_init.lua files of sub cockpit components but I can find nothing for the harrier.
  4. That looks awesome, well done!
  5. I had the same problem. I copied the Alpha and Release installations onto a mechanical drive and left the beta on my SSD. Problem solved.
  6. Well it does, as several people have said they have uninstalled 2.2.0 in preparation already. They could have saved themselves a lot of downloads/time if they kept 2.2.0
  7. Just be aware that you are limited to a maximum of 3 displays from your gfx cards ... unless you are running them non-SLI in which case you can have 3 displays on each. My plan is to run the main display from a kickass card and the 2 DDIs and MPCD as HDMI connected displays like the ones you linked from the motherboard intel video card. I did a quick test and that seems to work fine. Also I purchased mine from here, heaps cheaper: https://www.ebay.com.au/itm/182571006133
  8. Much better :) My only comment is that it does not indicate that the 1.5.8 OB -> 2.5 OB migration will make use of a 2.2.0 A installation to reduce the amount of downloads.
  9. Might have to go dusk then ;)
  10. From the boat. With heavy seas and overcast. At night. :)
  11. Anyone? It would be good if someone who has the release, alpha and beta installed could please confirm what these version numbers should look like, or if ED could confirm if it is even used or if it is only looking for the path? We have pretty poor Internet down here in Australia (we recently ranked behind Kazakhstan!) so I really don't want to have to download more than I need to.
  12. Which timezone, I am trying to align some annual leave :) ?
  13. I'm still hoping that the Beta will drop tonight and the Release version on the 31st. The only reason they are doing the Beta first, from what I can tell, is to test the deploy and upgrade process without killing everyone's Release versions.
  14. The video released today said that it will be released on the 31st of January.
  15. I wouldn't do that, there is stuff in 2.2 that is not in 1.5 and that will all need to be downloaded again to get to 2.5 if you have removed 2.2
  16. Pretty sure I have this right, but just to be sure: Currently I have the Release and Alpha on my SSD The beta is on a mechanical drive due to lack of space on the SSD. It sounds as though going forward the Beta will get upgraded to 2.5 beta then 2.5 release, so I should: Move the Alpha to the mechanical drive Move the Beta to the SSD Does that sound right?
  17. Public Holiday and hence long weekend here in Australia on Friday ... just saying ;)
  18. There are currently 3: Release, Beta and Alpha. I wouldn't bother downloading the beta now as within the next 12 days this will consolidate into two builds when 2.5 is released.
  19. Looks interesting. Subscribed :)
  20. Wags updated the FAQ to say that he "can't say anything more about the carriers at this point". The question about the hornet/carrier bundle has been asked many times and my guess is that that is the answer. i.e. they don't know.
  21. I guess the question is ... Did you end up pre-ordering or not?
  22. The 2 DDIs are the MPCD are different. For instance the map can only be displayed on the MPCD. You will want all 3 ;)
  23. I just figured it was a test to make sure people were paying attention ;)
  24. Fantastic work, love it! There's a typo on your war(m)ing placard though.
  25. All I know is that ED have said that there will be an new paid high fidelity carrier, and a low fidelity free one.
