I've heard of guys shooting themselves down on strafing runs because they flew too low and too close to the targets, the rounds would ricochet off the ground (especially dry lake beds) and bounce back up into the belly of the attacking aircraft. :doh:

Sounds like ghosting, but you shouldn't really notice it on a 6ms monitor. I've got an 8ms monitor and have never noticed it at all, even in the fastest paced FPS games. EDIT: Apparently it's not ghosting, so don't listen to me.

Well, last week I was thinking I had 1 GB PC2700 RAM in my computer (I should have known, I built it), but last night I opened it up, and apparently I actually had 1 GB PC3200 RAM instead. :doh: So las week I had ordered 2 GB of new PC3200 RAM, which should be delivered tomorrow, but what I am wondering, is if it will be worth it to upgrade from 1 GB to 2 GB of RAM until I build a new computer next summer or fall? Thanks for any help.

Hey everyone, I was just wondering if anyone has good suggestions on how to practice formation flying in LOMAC (single player only, my schedule is way too erratic to schedule a multiplayer session)? I have created a mission with me in an F-15 and an AI controlled F-15 and it seems to work, but the speed of the F-15 varies by quite a bit above and below the speed set in the mission editor. Does anyone know a way to fix this? I checked with autothrottle and TacView just to make sure it wasn't me that was the problem, and the computer's speed really did vary by a lot. Thanks for the help. :joystick:

How much did it cost you guys to get the U2NXT mod and Hall sensors? From what I see it will cost about $400 to mod a Cougar like this. How did you guys go about getting the mods also, I'm really interested in the Hall sensors for sure, and maybe even the new gimbals, but I'll have to see. Sorry to hijack the thread, and thanks for all the info provided already.

That IRIS MiG-29 afterburner is really amazing to see because it's animated very well and looks 1000x better than it does in the picture (even though it looks really great in the screenshot). I would make a video of it in action, but I'm not at my "flight" computer until tomorrow or tuesday, so I'll see if I can then, just to show it off. :thumbup:

I believe they are done 100% by hand, so the pilot can follow the meatball and wave-off if the LSO says to do so, or, if the pilot bolters, he/she would have to be in control.
