  1. Sure there are alot of FPS out there, but I still get a kick out of Doom3. Getting surround sound has been a very cool experience playing that game and Quake 4 multiplayer. I'm looking forward to Battle of Brittan. New engine and not the old IL2 stuff. I've always looked forward to Falcon 5.0, guess I'll have to wait awhile.
  2. 361 million is the price to include fuel to roll out the aircraft, it may only be 99 million to build. ;)
  3. Are these drivers Havok Physics enabled? I have been reading the Aegis card stuff and read that Nvida was going to compete with some new drivers soon in the future. It will be software driven instead of a physical card.
  4. Hey Wags, strange day when America lands it's jets in Serbia and also demonstrates to the Chinese "U.S. Navy military wargames". See: http://news.yahoo.com/s/ap/20060622/ap_on_re_as/china_us_wargames We might live in peace after all. ;)
  5. Oh, not Black Shark. :) Prey has finally released a demo. It's been in development for twelve years! So, there is hope for game to get off the ground and into production. Here's the link from Gamestop: http://www.gamespot.com/pc/action/prey/news.html?sid=6152874 The download will take a loooong time. It is using the Doom3 engine, so it will be cool.
  6. Is there a "Look Closer" command in LOMAC? I use it in Falcon occasionally.
  7. Cool pics, thanks for sharing.
  8. I like Steam and it's distribution system. I don't see any wasted resources at all as pointed out by someone in this thread. Updates to Counter Strike have been regular and all have been great. I can't imagine anything better and every player is patched to the correct one automatically. It would be great to see Black Shark distributed on Steam. I don't think it has to be a HL2 game either. I would download without question. I was leary of the FC download system, so I waited. I was glad to see the Evolved Games distribution and bought it right away. There was a bad second disk, but it was replaced in no time at all.
  9. Yeah, I wanted to try the demo, but the controls were FUBAR! I had a devil of a time to install it too. Had to update everything to get it to a UI screen.
  10. Wow, learning from a Top Gun movie, that's a first. :helpsmilie: Be entertained by Cruise, don't learn from him. Actually he makes me sick!
  11. "Feels like flying" is why I like LOMAC and IL2 series. But for weapon deployment you can't beat Falcon 4.0 and that's a shame since it's soooo old now.
  12. Sounds like XSI Fighter Ops is being developed into an offical USAF release.
  13. You'll be as good as gold.
  14. The differences between Falcon 4.0 Superpack 3 and 4 are amazing. The research to get SP4 on the right track had taken many months, but the community was rewarded with a better product. Many of the sim community at Frugals were complaining about how long it would take to release SP4 and the development team's response was always "3-4 weeks." Kind of funny now in hind sight. Falcon:AF came out of nowhere and now it's better in some regards, but did take a step back from where BMS was leading the way.
  15. I was joking about the grenade. I know this issue has been discussed over and over. :pilotfly:
  16. O.K., here I go to start this debate... If the F-15C is not modeled correctly then why can't we have a F/A-18A-C? No manuals? How did you get the F-15's? And is it right? Ducks head after throwing grenade.
  17. A Crosswind landing is a huge responsibility to land your aircraft. The only thing that was interesting was how you did not break off the landing gear. Cute....
  18. I thought he was an over achieving school kid who lost his homework ;)
  19. It's a golf club caddy.
  20. In addition to padlocking and SA as the link suggests, a lift line will help you determine your position in a dogfight to bring your plane into lag pursuit, head on, or pure pursuit.
  21. If ED develops a F/A-18 sim, I'd lov'em forever! But it has to have A-G and processes for doing so. Not neccessarily a clickable pit, but key mapping would be nice for going into A-G mode, select weapon, fuse delay, pickling options, etc.
  22. That is soooo funny. The pilot log book is very bad when you compare it to Falcon's. I don't see any reason for it in LOMAC.
  23. Since Easter Sunday is one week past, I just got to thinking if in LOMAC is there any Easter Eggs? If you search in some games like Doom3 and many others there are hidden items within the game. In the Super Pack series for Falcon 4.0 if you look close you will see billboards with "Easter Eggs" of developer's for the sim and hidden messages. Any in LOMAC? Just wondering, because I have not found any.
  24. You might as well get used to the right hand setup (if there is such a thing). Real world pilots have to adjust to the plane's cockpit layout.
