Now that Pit looks "lived in".. Outstanding as ever Sir.

Make sure that when you create a server, in the top right of window it says Source - INTERNET, and Connect by IP.. When I first started the MP side of DCS , windows 7 Firewall popped up behind and asks for permission for DCS to have access to the Internet, just a thought . Also check that you are giving out the right IP address. Check yours at whatsmyip.com I run mine through Virgins Super Hub just fine.

Out of pure coincidence, also when I updated to 1.2.3 my PC failed to boot on startup afterwards, blue screen of death right before the Windows 7 logon screen. Happened 4 times in a row, windows diagnostics kicked in to try and repair windows etc...found nothing as per usual , I then shut down the PC , turned the power completely off at the wall socket, made a cup of tea, thought bad stuff, went back and Hey Presto...booted back to life as if nothing had happened. Weird stuff or what.

Does the procedure change for this preferred/ superseded "Rearm/Refuel" menu? That is, for us switch and dial fanatics do we still need to throw some switches around before the Refuel/Rearm menu becomes available to the player? I have just tried in game and can use this menu with engines running, canopy closed sitting in a shelter at Sochi without touching anything...apart from LALT and ' keys....
-
Eddie, to clarify , is that refuel rearm menu LALT and ' key? Does that mean that one will no longer be required to set the inter phone dial to the INT position for Ground Crew dialogue ? As I can use the Refuel/rearm window without doing anything special to the radios prior. Interested to know .

Using the TGP is useless when the MFCD is in "NT" mode.
JujuMan replied to JujuMan's topic in DCS: A-10C Warthog
Isn't that the whole point of having a "NT" setting? To do all that for you instead of messing with the Contrast/Brightness controls in an already busy cockpit. Like I said, it was just an observation and in no way am I an authority on how it really works. I will give it a try though. thanks -

Yeah, Gain and LVL (dependant on which FLIR mode) has little/no effect. Only nturning the MFCD back to "DAY" mode makes it useable. The difference is staggering. Its not a show stopper, but one to avoid in future Night missions when the conditions exist. -

mmmm, Try using the dimmer with an overcast sky. Its a no go for me and some of my buddies. Clear sky is fine, as soon as you put an overcast layer (say 13000ft) the Display is just a murky grey...no contrast of targets/structures are visible until your right on top of them. This was flying at 8000ft, and yes, I was below the cloudbase/overcast. -

JujuMan posted a topic in DCS: A-10C Warthog
Recently noticed this when flying a Night Ops with some guys online. When I have the MFCD set to the NT brightness setting, the TGP is next to useless when trying to look for targets. The members of the same flight also commented on the same problem, if it is indeed a problem. Targets and Landscape would only become visible within 1.5 miles on the TGP screen. Used WHOT/BHOT TGP mode. When we changed the MFCD to the DAY mode, all was well again. I thought that Dimming the display would do just that without completely making it useless for Target acquisition. I have even messed around with the GAIN and LVL's of the TGP but still no joy for us in the NT mode. It was working fine before, could someone please check and let me know I'm not going blind or let me know that this is working "as intended"...:helpsmilie: Version 1.2.3 -

I can confirm that this method works for DCSiControl. Mine is working fine now in 1.2.3. -
Anybody else getting bad cloud "Flicker" when using dynamic weather. Fine in 1.2.2 (just tested), but on my system 1.2.3 flickers like bad.

*MULTIPLAYER* Logbook...The wait is FINALLY over! (release)

Well done Ebs, great addition to MP. I hope ED see this and incorporate it in upcoming patches. Thanks again. -
As above, if your using the "easy comms" selection in the main options, use the / key or # key depending on your keyboard, then select F5 (ATC). And select your choice from the menu on screen. If you are using realistic comms (easy comms check box unpicked in options) you need to dial in the VHF AM frequency of the airfield in question into the VHF AM radio. That's the top radio under the throttles. Then press the VHF Mic switch for the AM radio (the keyboard equivalent is found under the VHF AM Radio selection in the controls drop down box), select F5-ATC and then carry on with whatever radio menu option you are presented with. Hope it helps.

Backup and restore input files, always a problem
JujuMan replied to Lange_666's topic in Controller Profiles and Problems
I too have recently upgraded some new hardware. I can CONFIRM that this way works 100%. I saved my Users>"Your PC name>Saved Games>DCS>Config>Input>"A10-C" folder and used notepad ++ to copy and paste the seperate .lua files to the fresh install files. All is working 100%. Thank you for this thread. Saved me alot of work. -
The beeps are probably because you are trying to command too many "g"s in turning. Look at the accelerometer in the left of the hud. It will tell you the maximum G available before you depart controlled flight.

I was around the coastal area of Sochi, so could be a naval vessel of some kind. Still intrigued as to what it was.

Whilst flying a mission tonight online, a "NH" symbol appeared in the RWR, and can anybody tell me what this was? Can't find it listed in the manual (pg 410).. I'm thinking maybe a helicopter of some kind...

A little free PR doesn't hurt. You guys over analyse way too much. I'm looking forward to hearing about "mantra's" , "karma" and " chi". If the radio jock can tell when the MP stability code is going to be fixed, he's got my vote and will willingly dress up as a Druid and join in the fun......
