  1. I think its plausible but they are pretty long. They go up to high alts and loiter and wait for the radar to turn back on etc. It is just a littl elong for the pylons I think..
  2. I take it back, I saw it used in reference with the text close together (cached copy) of a couple websites. When I searched for info on it,some of the text looked like it said it carried it but when you actually went into the page it separated the text and made references to other platforms.
  3. According to wikipedia they do.. I'll look a little closer. Not sure about the c version
  4. Will we see the hawg make use of this weapon of choice? I'm not sure if it is already included? I'm sure it could be tied into the targetting pod somehow.. Wonder how they do it in real life.. I know the A10's in real life have carried them..
  5. What he said.. its all smooth until there is an actual mission with some ground objects and stuff going on. Then its all downhill from there.
  6. The rule of thumb was 500fpm for almost all aircraft but I wasn't sure about the hog. Every plane is different but 500 is a safe decent. I was wondering about the max VVI should be when you actually touch down without breaking the gear.
  7. I noticed that it is identical to the A10 beta interface and keys and whatnot are almost all the same. It runs MUCH better than the A10 beta, with everything on full. BUT when I get near ground targets withe labels on my machine starts to pause and crawls to a snails pace, much like the A10 beta does. Is this normal? It only seems to happen when there are ground objects around.
  8. NVM I guess ubi has the rights and has a downloadable version.. so I'll picker up there. Little cheaper too $6.99
  9. In the rush to buy it I didnt even realize I need Lock on. I saw its for sale for $9.99 but I can't download it! There is no downloadable version of it for sale on the site! Arggh! I'd buy that too .. anyoone know of a place that sells a downloadable LOMAC?
  10. What is the decent rate that is good for a landing anyway? I always thought they measured how much a gear could actually take and how much a tire as well. I love that touch but generally I think the gear damages first before a tire would blow unless you were sideslipping badly. Like in the manual it does state the best climb / decent rate speed how many ft/s etc that I could find. I remember in older sims landing on carriers you had to keep it to a certain range to account for the pitching deck could sometimes add more strain on the gear..
  11. Yeah and I'd never know the answer.. :) I think I found it.. it goes into ONE thread!
  12. Saw a couple of mine that said moved but I can't find them anywhere..
  13. :smartass: = Smartass
  14. Even just adding some voice comms could be nice.. not much code needed to add this feature. Just to help with the sense of urgency. I was risking my life trying to land an A10 without a left rear stabilizer and couldn't warn them. They could say something like Confirmed - EMS crews are on the go, you are cleared straight in! Then just automatically throw in some flashing lights and stuff around the airport. Don't actually need to animate the people driving around. Just make it feel like they know its an emergency..
  15. I agree after a few times practicing it, it doesn't take long at all.
  16. This was more for fun, so even though I said I accidentally, I mean intentionally.. :)
  17. I have to correct one thing - in the campaign I saw it listed the actual freq's for jtac adn awacs etc. which was nice. However I tried my first campaign mission it was unplayable with major pauses over and over again to the point I couldn't even fly. I'll have to wait til beta 5 to try flying again. I'm set to low on on most things too.. so this isn't a frame rate issue. I've defragged as well these are looong pauses..
  18. yeah I think I accidentally dropped a 2000 pounder on the tarmac.. :)
  19. I won't be looking for a squad.. not yet. I have to be somewhat fluent first, and not until after it is officially released. I actually made a squad in jest back when I ran the #falcon4 channel on efnet. I forget the number but it was the lawn dart squad.. :) I think I still have the picture here somewhere.. Before and after... this was right after F4 was released :)
  20. Yeah I know I used to fly F4 all the time. I just can't stand the real anal nerds out there that everything has to be precise to the mm... let go and have some fun already..
  21. Yeah I saw the divert bases loaded.. in the training, that does come in handy, but what if your systems are knocked out? Its best to have a pen / paper write everything out ahead of time. You can't memorize everything. That is why I'd like the briefing on your leg clipboard like in real life. They are able to bring reference material to make notes etc..
  22. Screen shot or it didnt happen :)
  23. Declaring an emergency.. Noticed there was no comms to the ATC when I was hit and trying to land a badly damaged hog, there was no way of telling them to stand by for an emergency landing, to clear us straight in etc.. This planned? Would also be nice to see some fire trucks out there :)
  24. Mission Overview - Freqencies Would be nice to have in all missions listed the frequencies of the airport you are starting off at, and the end point as well. Tanker/Awacs freqs listed in the initial overview. Some of us skip the mission planner and jump right in. Gives you threats, weather etc etc.. usually even in the mission planner it doesn't tell you where you start or end... or divert bases or anything like that?
  25. Had a missile hit my tail and knock half of it off, but I didn't get any noise or anything to indicate I was hit. I had no idea until the plane because hard to fly a few seconds afterward. I do get gun sound hits, which are good. Just nothing that helps indicate there was a near miss or anything like that or if you get hit. This a known bug?
