Which software do you guys use to record your desktop and your missions to be uploaded to youtube. Obviously it has to be able to record .flv files. I've not seen any free ones without watermarks or some sort of identifying marks. Are there any good free desktop recorders out there? Then when you have all the videos, which programs are you using to edit the movies? I used to use Windows Movie Maker.. was simple..

Got my track IR its working with a10 pretty good.. definitely adds a new element to it. I really gotta tweak it.. its also a lot more work moving around :) Gotta get used to it.

Oh man I'd LOVE to have an AC130 sim... Anyone remember the Flight of the old Dog flight sim? The stealth B52 sim? It was awesome as well. Wouldn't mind something like that that is heavily dependent on electronic warfare.

Yeah but I had a question involved too.. wasn't sure if you could just run an executable etc and maybe it already works outside the main program..

Knee board is a must in my opinion.. should have all our freqs handy right there so we don't have to take notes at th ebeginning and end. The tower of the start point, end point, jtac, flight, guard, awacs, and a divert base. And ILS / tacan information as well.

I still think the release is tonight.. :) Positive thinking positive thinking...

External Mission Editor How about an external mission editor outside the program? Like at home I'm usually flying when I have time. But when I'm at work I'd love to be able to keep a window open in the background where I can just edit missions or create campaigns without all the overhead of the actual program. Is this even possible?

Lucky I have about 100Mbit to my disposal to download it fast :)

they looks real nice but after taxes and shipping and all that it'll be over $200!! I just bought a trackIR .. that set me back!

Something very natural feeling, comfy and sturdy. I had CH's rudder pedals a long time ago they did the job. But it was mainly just one thing you could do. I'd love to find one that you could have heel and toe rudders for wheel brakes etc. Are there any out there that are like affordable and USB based? I've got the Saitek X52 and the twisting rudder mechanism just don't cut it..

I'm sure its low on their priority scale.. But how can we enjoy the sim unless we can watch all the battles at our leisure after the mission? :)

Track file REWIND There ever going to be functionality to be able to fast forward and rewind track files? I enjoy watching some of the battles and last night I ended up just narrowly missed getting hit by a sam.. I mean so close it was pathetic. I want to be able to rewind and get a good screen shot or watch from different angles. Even though the next SAM hit me tore off half my wing (I did manage to land it)... I know you can use CTRL Z to accelerate time in a replay but as far as I know you can't rewind!

Nope hud wasn't up other than the ladder really. No wingman either it was that operation pushback mission. How do you reprogram your buttons? Once the thing is offline its off! I tried rebooting it etc.. There somethign in the manual I'm missing?

Ok .. time for some fire drills. Scenario #1 (feel free to make up your own scenarios and stories) You get hit and you lose your left MFD, ILS and TACAN .. what do you do? If you are still in mid mission. No fuel loss Do you RTB? Or continue mission? How do you get home? Scenario #2 Lose both MFD's, ILS at night while snowing (Had this happen to me the other night) with visibility basically 0. No airspeed indicator on the hud, no alt on the hud either. How do you navigate and make it home? I tried using tacan without luck wasn't any bases nearby that had them, ended up generally knowing where I was looked up the radio freq for a nearby airport, got a vector to the runway. Was able to use the magnetic compas and the HSI ... I still couldn't see the runway so had to really fly low under all the clouds enough to finally find the runway with about 500lbs of fuel left and landed.. No I didnt try hars.. trying to avoid learning it for now hehe
