  1. Oh and here is a screen of the clipping problem.. I didn't catch it in the screen shots but the circles show where it "flashes" in and out of the space time continuum.
  2. Thanks :) Heres your proof! I'm like the unluckiest guy out there. Almost every time its just one piece of damage and yep.. its the cicu
  3. Heres mine The new gun sound is FANTASTIC!!! It is soooo satisfying shooting that thing. The Instant Action missions have been about as smooth as it gets so far. I was able to run the first campaign mission during startup and there was some lag like usual but I had to abort because of misconfigured joystick stuff. It does seem much more polished. I still have sooo much to learn. I've had a few odd crashes in setting up the joystick but in the actual game no crashes and everything seems to be working. Not sure if maybe I missed deleting some files from the beta maybe. One thing I noticed different about the startup. After I turn the battery and inverter on, warnings are going off like crazy. I can clear the master cautions but it comes back until you get most of the systems and engines running. It never used to do this in beta 4. I see the actual mission editor was cleaned up a bit and from what i can see in the missions all the radio freqs are listed as requested. Thanks a bunch for that!! To take it one quick step further - in the next patch can you add a "Print" button when we are at the mission overview? So it prints the text with the radio freqs and the overall map and mission information? That would be cool to print on the fly and then head in without having to do too much note taking.. Lazy I know but not all of us have all night and want to run the missions. Wish there were a few more training missions but we can see them on youtube or we'll start to get the community rolling on this. I noticed you touched up the bridges the way they look, added railing etc and some grass around the outside. Unfortunately the grass sidings now sort of flutter in and out of the clipping plane when you watch in the tgp or bomb view. Only one bridge so far that I've seen though. It also seems that its quite hard to kill paratroopers with the gun You can take out the trucks but if I go around for the troops its just not working At least not with CM. Just seems tougher. AND my immortal MFD problems just don't seem to go away! No matter what happens if I get hit, first thing to go is the MFD. The last 10 times I've been hit I actually lost the multifunction displays. Too bad I started taking screen shots but I deleted the directory. But this time again a sam hit me on the right side. Blew out my tires and of course the ONLY other damage ... CICU as per usual.. I just have bad luck? Argh thats nother thing I took screenshots and the screenshot dir is empty. Did you guys move where the screenshots go? I had proof! Its a conspiracy I tells ya! I bet the print screen button was remapped. I wouldn't doubt it. But the avionics and everything seem to be working perfectly, which is what this game is about. I still have quite a bit of work learning more but from the basic newb pilot who has enough knowledge to get around take out the targets and navigate home.. (and land safely) .. I have to give this product a 9/10 now that. Where the beta was a 7.5. Even the dreaded first campaign mission was performing pretty well (with the clouds) even though frame rates at times did drop, there was no really really long pauses like it used to have. It is very playable. Very well done.
  4. Now that this is released. I used this.. it works well however I cannot seem to map the zoom to the rotary.. just doesnt allow me to use it at all. Any ideas?
  5. Whoa thats odd.. I made a new post.. and it keeps putting it in here.. it was a new post. Something is odd. Thats two times its popped into here.

  7. My first impressions Blah
  8. Oh great thanks a bunch!
  9. I try to download the manual from the primary site and it kicks me back. I was wondering if there is new info since the beta 4 manual? Or can i just keep the one I have?
  10. Not to change the subject but also to ask another question. I had a hung store and I was wondering if there was actually a way to jettison it. I tried to find a manual jettison with no luck. I generally hold it down until it is removed from the stores page.
  11. Ugh... damn traffic shaping of my ISP keeps going from like 800KB to 100KB .. Teasing me.. I see 15M left! Then 1hr... UGH!
  12. Yep I had that happen to me too once.. just took off and landing gear failed. Wasn't a rough take off or anything.
  13. I could theoretically download it on my fiber remotely at work, then download it directly from work faster than the bit torrent could get me the files.. hehe..
  14. Not all.. Some ISP's here in Canada like bell throttle p2p. I've been known to do this at my WISP as well when people go too nuts. So I'm screwed with a 30 meg docsys connection right now downloading at about 100Kb..
  15. Cool .. are there any added training tutorials? Like for air to air refueling etc? Run the first campaign with the low cloud cover that usually slogs along even on my quad core with GTX560Ti Can't wait to see how it runs now.
  16. They were probably cooking along real fast and didnt want to bother stopping to compile it and wait for out input.. I don't mind I"m just happy its out. I was bored the last few days but thats in the past.
  17. There a way to have only enemy labels and not friendly?
  18. Few questions for you The lag when you fly real low to ground on strafing runs.. is it gone? Alt Tab does it still crash? CBU's are fixed I take it? All the ILS approaches put in? How about the campaigns are they still realllly choppy? (even with a good system) Did they add "Declaring an emergency" ?
  19. So any first reports on how it is running?
  20. I shoulda went into work today.. I'd have access to our fiber.. at least I have a 30 meg connection at home :) Downloading on newsgroups I get 3000Kb .. torrent or p2p you rarely get more than 100Kb.. right now getting DCS I'm getting 27Kb... useless. Oh well I can wait til tomorrow .. I guess I was right though. I said that beta 6 would be vaporware.. that you guys were heading towards the finish line instead. One hour later you release it lol
  21. I hate using torrent.. can't find a good one that you can trust these days. Deluge is good and open source if you can get it work in windows.. ugh I hate torrents. Not to mention I run an ISP and I know how easy it is to throttle p2p.
  22. No it says login incorrect.. wouldn't it say full or something?
  23. I Don't have a login to the ftp site.. I'm logged into the website but it won't accept my user/pass to download it.. ugh
  24. Yeah I posted about that the other day.. no official change on the feature. They hope to add it later.
  25. I had the same problem actually.. I ended up giving up and just staying as low to the ground as I could. The TGP just doesn't see through thick cloud cover.
