There is a de-sync between zoomed in and out of the moving map and there is a de-sync between F10 map vs zoomed in vs zoomed out moving map. And re-centering does not work when the moving map positions are de-synced.

Hello. During start-up i noticed three things: 1: There is a typo in the briefing; They mention radio R-282, that should be R-828 surely, since they spelled it correctly just before. 2: Lack of information; There are no indication of where the bases are located, making tuning in the beacons a lottery. 3: There is not mentioned which way to fly the route, common sense would say clockwise but looking at the headings on the map indicates counter-clockwise.

After almost eleven years in the DCS community, i also agree that we are close to december.

It is disappointing in the way that the real thing is not a "left/right" knob, its a selector knob, it have five positions; Mov, Fix, Man, Fail, Nav. That is why its called a selector, it selects a function. I could often use all five functions, its much much faster and easier to quickly select "Fix" when gun running than fidling with Shkval, and in cases where Shkval is broken, fixing the gun can be a lifesaver. So there are plenty of arguments to put five keybindings to the selector, instead of just "left/right". And as jubuttib says, there are plenty of reasons for multi-way switches.

1: I would like to wish for two+ way switches. With all the nice hardware around, lack of keybinding opportunities is disappointing. That goes for every module, not just the Hind. i.e. but not limited to the gun-rate switch; make a keybind for the low and one for the high not just only a toggle. And that goes for every switchs that have more than one state, let the keybindings reflect that. 2: Make sure that the naming of the switch in the 3D cockpit is the same as in settings.

Hi everyone. Is it possible to have the 5-mode selector to work as the weapon system mode selector? I can only keybind "left" and "right" in the keybindings, which is disappointing Are there any way to go around that or am i stuck at left and right? Thank you.

Hello all, i just downloaded the mod and when i start DCS OB i get the Authorization is valid for 3d 0h 1m The following DLCs are not authorized and will be disabled: Hercules And the mod does not show up in menu. Im running 6.8.2 mod and newest DCS OB. What could be wrong? Thanks.

The design, culture, budget, time and such between the Ka-50 and AH-64 cannot be compared. The "budget", for the US military is a blanco check, while the Russians went through the tough 90´s and a complete national economy reset, something the US did not do. Study the Russian/Soviet vs NATO/US tactics and strategies and you will get your answer why there is such a difference. US military is shaped by invasions and world dominans, the Russians are not. Doing a direct comparison of US vs. Russian military gear is like comparing a tumbler to a washer, they may look the same, but they are not, and therefore different prioritizations.

No offence, but it sounds like you are new in the DCS community. If so, welcome Every date and every time the word "soon", "imminent", "x quarter", "time of year" etc. is used by developers forget about them, dont get you hopes up and dont expect a delivery on that date or time frame. Often dates are set by the PR department that have no clue about coding and programming. Many things can go wrong and bugs can appear out of nowhere and dont forget about, lets say, too "optimistically" deadlines. So, sit back, relax and forget anything you read and heard recarding dates and promisses about the module. Thats the hard reality of our niche hobby, sorry

Hi all. I cant open the comm´s menu when airborne, the key is assigned correctly since it works when landed and it shows up as "Communication menu" i the settings. Radio is set to "Radio". I tried in single player, campaign and multiplayer, no luck, even on a completely fresh install. Am i doing something wrong or is it a bug?

I can tell you that the EH101 Merlins makes the same sound, ive heard that several times when they come by where i live.

ATC in DCS is, lets say, not up to par with DCS in general, to put it mildly. But as far as i understand, there are great plans to completely rebuild the ATC, so until then, ignore ATC, its often useless. When approaching to land or is in vicinity of a airfield, ONLY rely on Mk 1 eyeball, NEVER wait for a landing permission, because the ATC is sitting in a dark windowless room with the eyesight of a blind bat, in a bag. From my engines spool up to they reach 0 RPM i always move and fly with my head on a swivel, ignoring ATC close to as much as possible.
