I just realised that you only get the Paypal option on ED if you cancel the payment, and then choose "Change payment", i did not know that thanks, but for me the Paypal option does not come up at the beginning, it only shows card until i cancel the payment. And yes, you need a mobilephone (If you live in Denmark) to transfer funds to paypal. I will never get any kind of account or card in any foreign bank for whatever reason, but thanks for the tip and the help, its appreciated. I guess i need to reach out to friends and family when the hind comes out.
-
I live by myself, and the mobilephone number is connected to your social security number and visa and in Denmark we have something called Nemid (Easy ID), which is use for banking and any secure logins, which is again locked to the mobilephone number paired with your SSN, visa and bankaccount. ED does not accept Paypal. And where i tried using Paypal, it popped up requiring either the Nøgleapp or sms code. Which other options do you know of? Hopefully not something with a "businessman in Sudan" or "Rich prince in a unspecified gulf state"?
-
In Denmark you are forced to use "nøgleapp" (Key app) or a sms code; ie. a mobilephone is the only way. There are no other way and i have no other options, except banktransfer, as i wrote. And this is forced upon us at government/EU level, so its the same for all banks in Denmark, i checked.
-
Hello all. From 1. january 2021 the EU have decided that everytime you buy anything with your card (visa and "local" versions), you are forced to verify your purchase with a mobilephone. I asked my bank and they said if the seller does not recieve banktransfer, you are out of luck; No mobilephone = no purchase. Paypal is not an option for em either, since my paypal account is connected to my visa ie. need mobilephone to complete payment. For healthreasons i do not own a mobilephone. Does ED accept banktransfer as a payment solution for modules, or are they card only?

Check out virpil controls, they are close to releasing a collective with handles.

Check out this thread: ED have said that they will release fewer patches, but each one with more content, so thats both good and bad i think.

Seeking clarification about end of Windows 7 support.

When a Gold Microsoft Partner claims they are blocking Microsoft spying, i have my doubt about them. -
As a day one viper buyer, i can tell you that resource allocation to the viper is borderlining on a hobby level, thats my oppinion. No doubt that eventually, in due time, at some point in time, in the future, the viper will be a superb module, they just released it a year to early, luckily it seems that they learned that and are putting those lessons to good use for future releases. That aside, i can only highly recommend youtube, yes i know that you said that you learn best from in-game, but dont expect anything from ED or partners until you literally have it. Words are words and words have no value, words have no obligations. You are doing yourself a great favor by teaching yourself to learn from those very good youtube videos. I can highly recommend Redkite, growling sidewinder, jabbers, they do a great job of teaching and you can trust them. That is those that i can remember on top of my head, there are many more but i cant remember them all. I do NOT recommend Grim Reapers, they may perform many interesting tests, but they are often wrong in what they teach, prioritize quantity over quality and dont listen to constructive critisism.

Hello, as the title says, in DCS Liberation, Syria map, Golan Height scenario, i cant kill anything with the aforementioned weapons: GBU-12s dont track laser (Laser is on and firing, lasercodes entered in DED), they just drop dumb, and they dont explode on impact. Mk82´s dont explode on impact. CBU-87´s opens and impact but dont do any damage. CBU-97´s open but dont get fuzed by vehicles that are clearly hot on the TGP. Mavericks and cannon is mighty effective. What am i doing wrong? Thanks

Im all in for options, and as long as it does not change the way those who can AAR, should do AAR i dont care if they add the option to "easy AAR" or whatever you want to call it. But remember DCS is not just a game, its a study sim, that can require months and months or even years or "studying" and try and fails. It took me five years on how to learn to AAR in the A-10, FIVE YEARS! Ive spent countless hours musclecramping, yelling and screaming, rage quitting and time spent for ordering new keyboard and mouse (flying with HOTAS), because something had to pay for my lack of AAR skills. I kid you not when i say that tears ran down my face, when i heard "Transfer complete" for the first time, the achivement, the patience, the years of not being able to finish campaigns because i couldn AAR, it all payed off. My right warm was hurting the entire day and through the night, but i did it, it took me five years, but i did it. If you cant AAR at the moment, dont blame the sim, the plane, the joystick, the weather or the world, keep trying, watch youtube videos, change settings, it will be worth it in the end, just keep trying. If you refuse to learn to AAR or any other skill in DCS, then DCS is not for you, period. If you cant AAR due to disabilities or a like, then i embrace any help ED can give you to be able to AAR.

Skynet: An IADS for Mission Builders
bmbpdk replied to flywaldair (Skynet dev.)'s topic in Scripting Tips, Tricks & Issues
Sorry for asking, but how do i install this script? Im hoping to use it with DCS Liberation, since dynamic campaigns in DCS is still just a dream. -
Hello all. Im missing a mission that simulates what its like to be on QRA. Im imagining a mission where you start on the ramp with engines off and just wait until/if the alarm goes. It could be intercept of unknown aircraft, escort of damaged civilian plane, delivery of emergency cargo, C(SAR), MEDIVAC etc. You could get the alarm after a few minutes, and you could sit there for hours (Yes i know not all have hours to spent just waiting). Have this type of mission been made? Merry Christmas and a Happy New Year.

Missile warhead sizes and their respective damage potential
bmbpdk replied to Cmptohocah's topic in DCS: Flaming Cliffs
You mean R-73 and AIM-9? Many weapons gain their destruction power through fragmentation instead of a boom, so the size and weight of the actual warhead is often not the deciding factor. And remember progress in the chemical composition of the warhead also increase the boom while decreasing weight and size. Comparing numbers to numbers is always a bad idea, look deeper, look at the calculation instead of the results, theres always a reason for something, nothing happens without a reason and a purpose. -
I need help identifying vapors from Tornado engines.
bmbpdk replied to bmbpdk's topic in Military and Aviation
Thanks for the tip on the HP dump vents. Im used to seeing contrails and vortices and know about the "detached" contrails, roughly same physics as when boiling water. LOL I use a DSLR camera, (My trusty D7100) and i saw the vents between each shot also, TTL (Through the lens) = raw pure light and view instead of a screen that can change, so they are "real". Yes cons only appear when they have "cooled down" as garyscott explains. -
Exactly: Sometimes love and passion for a platform/module is all it takes. Marketability is another word for profit and money, keeping the C-130 on a "hobby" basis, keeps the love and passion from Anubis in it, instead of making it a question about money and profit. ED should, since they are forced to think as a company, release the SDK, or just part of it, to Anubis. Imagine what Anubis could make in 12 months with the SDK.

Funny how ED and partners and the military is, in some areas, scarily alike: Everything from above your paycheck is like: Words are words, words have no value and dont trust words, especially not the "never failing-always knowing-never wrong (lack of)intelligence department". And if you are promised something, forget everything about it until you literally have it in your hands; on the way, in storage, being delivered and "imminent" is equal to You dont have it yet and we cant tell you when , so stop asking. That just what 2½ years in the Army and 3 years in the Army Homeguard and nine years in the DCS community taught me, and it never failed me. So to answer your question: I dont think anybody knows, and if they do, they wont say it.

I need help identifying vapors from Tornado engines.
bmbpdk replied to bmbpdk's topic in Military and Aviation
But shouldn the conning come from the exhaust? Its like there are two vents of some sort 3-5 feet ahead of the exhaust. Some sort of overpressure valves/"Unspend" compressed air? -
As title says. The vapors arent comming form the exhaust, and nothing is mentioned in the two books i have about the Tornado. Sorry about the quality, its cropped from a "hip-shot" photo. Thank you in advance and Merry Christmas and a Happy New Year.

If you are in that sad situation that you have a AMD GPU, then try to start DCS through AMD Radeon Software. Mine starts the majority of time, but with fails occasionally. Something that i never had on nVidia GPU. If you have a nVidia GPU, i dont know, sorry.

+1 My opinion is that the "2021 and beyond" video answered close to no questions and was just a promo video. And i hope that those projects mentioned in the January 2020 newsletter is being realised in 2021. But let us wait and see in the January newsletter and then compare that and the delivered products in december 2021.
