I only have an issue with the ground handling (tight turns specifically) and sound. In the air, it feels just right and not so different from the other warbirds to me.

Maneuvering On The Ground With Differential Braking
Mud replied to AG-51_Razor's topic in Bugs and Problems
I find it challenging on concrete in the Normandy map as well. A lot of power is needed to pivot around, and small taps or light braking just is not enough to make sharp turns and it still kills all forward speed at 800-1000 rpm. I do not see myself make the following turn for instance in the current state of the module. -
Damaged AI Warbirds fly in a perpetual circle
Mud replied to Dauntless 7's topic in Aircraft AI Bugs (Non-Combined Arms)
Yup, I have noticed the same in a mission with Ju-88's. -
There is absolutely no need to have such a large pagefile. These suggested sizes are a misconception related to the need to have your RAM amount as pagefile to be able to hybernate your system. I doubt that is still required these days, even when you do use hybernate. In many cases you can even turn it off completely if you have that much RAM. However, it's best to have at least some pagefile as some applications might rely on it being present.

As per the SOP! Hahaha, thanks Thamiel. Your post made my day at work a lot more pleasant!

The "hardware accelerated GPU scheduling" can sometimes do a nasty number in VR. If you have not tried this already, I suggest disabling it in Windows, rebooting and checking if there is any improvement. Br, Mud

For CPU's, yes. Not for GPU's.

Slackware Linux user here for everything non-gaming. Gaming I still do on Windows mainly because of the ability to modify GPU core voltage there, which Nvidia has not allowed/enabled yet in Linux afaik. Mud

I voted for the L, but would also love the MH-60L DAP

I have no idea. I never played around with pilot skins myself really.

Considering my post here was dated August 28th 2024, I reckon 2.9.7.59263 or 2.9.7.58923.

On stations 8 and 2, the bomb list is so long that I cannot see the entire list. For instance I cannot select the HOBOS as they are further down the list (seen screenshot). I have to modify my loadouts in 2D because of this. I assume this might be an issue in other modules as well, and not really a specific F-4E issue. Hardware specs in signature Br, Mud

I had the same just happen again. Mode: LOAL HI First Hellfire fired fine. 2nd one caused CTD. Map Caucasus. Loadout 7 AWPKS rockets and 2 Hellfires EDIT: I was basically able to replicate the issue. 2nd Hellfire shot caused the same issue again now. It's a rather long flight though, so not too eager to replicate it again EDIT 2: Was able to replicate the same again in a Nevada map training mission of mine. Br, Mud dcs.log-20240830-183354.zip

I have noticed the same. Seems like ED have changed where this information is stored now. If you clear all the entries in .\Scripts\Database\Troops\usa.lua apart from one, you will see that all the squadrons are still listed in DCS. Br, Mud

AGM-45 Shrike Quick Guide by Klarsnow - updated June 5th 2024
Mud replied to HB_Painter's topic in DCS: F-4E Phantom
Can you let us know what your issue was then in the end? Could be helpful for other people with the same issue. Cheers. Mud -
Just stop all the damn drama, and have some patience. It almost seems like people gave up their ability to eat a proper meal to buy a module.
-
I see on Discord that Dan from Polychop said that his has been fixed internally. So hopefully it'll be sorted in the next DCS update.

I'm actually really surprised nobody has made a logbook editor yet for DCS. It's quite a hassle to update the logbook manually in case something does not get recorded. Due to for instance MP flights, or a game crash. Currently the hours are not logged for the OH-58D, but the overall hours of those flights are added. So that might mess up the accuracy of many logbooks. So option one is to simplify the task a bit via a spreadsheet file or something to see if the hours add up. A better option would be a small program which could read the lua, show the results and add them up. And then allow you to modify as required and write back into the lua. It's been 20-25 years ago since I did any basic programming myself in Visual Basic. But well, never say never. Perhaps I'll find some spare time somewhere

DCS: OH-58D Kiowa Warrior - Echo 19 partnership
Mud replied to Polychop Simulations's topic in DCS: OH-58 Kiowa
I believe that is a bug affecting AI Kiowa's at the moment. External sounds are present with the module. -
A little update: The time does count for your general, overall logbook time. I also has a look in the logbook.lua and could not find a reference for OH-58.

Same issue here.

I had the same happen to me earlier. Then on the 2nd run I had no issues, but I ruled out A and B in the following list. Three potential culprits I can think of: A) AGM-114's were in Standby rather than Normal B) A-4E Mod C) It's intermittent I'll report back here when I have time for some more testing.

In my case the money is off my account via PayPal, but the order on the site here still says: Pay Order EDIT: I see the payment just vanished from my bank. So trying again now. EDIT 2: second attempt passed without hiccup
