I think the main reason why its 'outdated' it the fact that the video shows attack tactics you would see in a Steven Seagal movie (Steven -If you read this::( I'm sorry for this compartment.... but it's true) : One man army takes out a whole Carrier without being recognized ! Something that is too arcade for a serious study sim. Anyway , its good made but as I said before it doesn't represent the truth. :smilewink:

Head camera vibration and movements - Question -
urze replied to Legolasindar's topic in DCS: Ka-50 Black Shark
Please look at 2:34 of the EDGE video http://www.virtual-jabog32.de/index.php?section=downloads&subcat=28&file=766 . It describes very well how thinks will look in BlackShark when you will not move your head with your Head movement tracker (FreeTrack or Naturalpoint). I didn't talked to GA but I'm very certain that he didn't moved his head much while pulling to the Left.:smilewink: -
Bump! Hello all you are out there ! I have a 'little' request to all of you how watched/downloaded/liked the video(s) from me. Let me first explain what I have in mind: I want to create on Stage6 a 'Channel' that is only dedicated to DCS/Blackschark and tweaks/tips how you can enjoy it even more when you have your hands on it. First of all : You can only create a channel if you have enough 'Karma' I know it from my own behaviour-I search-I download- and I don't say thank you or even give rep.... And you only get Karma if you give positive reputation after you watched/downloaded the Video.... So..., thats my point : Pleas give me 'Karma at Stage6 http://www.stage6.com/user/urze/videos/ Ad I will guarantee that I will keep this channel 'up to date' and you could watch all DCS/BlackShark related videos on demand in High quality. Instead of watching coloured Tetris on Youtube or whatever in 320x240 while sitting in front of a 1680x1050 screen . And again:I know it from my own behaviour-I search-I download- and I don't say thank you or even give rep.... But please change it this time! (I have 3 videos on Stage6- 1593 watched them- and 9 people gave me some 'Karma' - So if they are really so bad tell it to me!11-12-07) Than you could be aware that you only have to check my channel (similar to http://www.virtual-jabog32.de if I search for a LockOn flick) and you will know if there are new Videos that are DCS related or if there are new tips and tweaks to them ( you can upload up to 2 GB on Stage6- the resolution doesn't matters) -Instead of searching 6 different forums and writing 8 post to get your info that your are searching for.:) Thanks in Advance!

Head camera vibration and movements - Question -
urze replied to Legolasindar's topic in DCS: Ka-50 Black Shark
I don't wanted to smaler your point here, - I just wanted to say that this is very well simulated- That's what impressed the FSFX guys most right from the beginning at Simware show '08, because they could 'fell' the weight and acceleration of the beast. So you are some kind able to fly it with your back. Something you hardly can show in a video. -

Just keep in mind that the camera is mounted to the airframe - and your head isn't. A Buttkicker would do the job! http://www.hometheaterhifi.com/volume_12_4/buttkicker-gamer-10-2005.html -

You all have real life experience in a kind of way with it: The next time you use your washing machine just lean against it and you will see that your 'soft' body will compensate the most effect of the shaking that your head and neck will stay mostly still and your brain will also merge most of the shaking that is still left. Only when you will press your head directly against it your sight will react how many of you described it here and I think that isn't the position like you want to fly a helicopter! My opinion is that these kind of effects are nice in a 'static' First person shooter , but they have nothing to do with real life ( I also fly quite often with a Cessna 172). Just leave them to Hollywood. The (G)acceleration-forces are very good simulated. -just my opinion. -
Yes! EvilBivol-1 is right! Now I checked it also out. ...silly me:doh: Anyway, ... now you are able to put the positions of the singel triggers of the switch wherever you want.
-
I'm glad that you can handle it . I had screw with a magnet in the head (about 5mm in diameter). Some furniture uses them for closing doors. But putting a magnet on the head of the switch will do the same and you only have to use one. At the top I also putted a little pentagram round the shaft. So you will always find the right position.

If you're lucky you can get 4-way-switches of this kind but I never saw 5-way-switches to buy... I didn't get you with Skype. This is what I wanted explain to you: I made two of them maybe 3 years ago.I used them on a Textile printing machine with 5 print stations ( similar to one in this picture with 10 print stations) to control my own added gadgets like extra cooling and heating I don't have them any more and I never took pictures of them, so I decided to make a quick photoshop drawing. They worked very reliable.

Poll question: air/rotorcrafts in the DCS plans !
urze replied to HungaroJET's topic in DCS: Ka-50 Black Shark
Sorry, but the list of choices is laughable for rotor heads! so I choose the 27 to make you happy. -
PM'ed you my skype account! lets talk.

yes, of course- no problems. Here is the magic behind it: http://video.google.de/videoplay?docid=-5164540272027922948 But lets go back to topic now. (when we will have a tech discussion forum here I have many more things to show... :music_whistling:)

Why think so small? -Ok start with it as a middle monitor but than expand: _______...__________... _______ I...........I I................I I...........I I...4:3....I I......8:5.....I I....4:3...I I_______I I__________I I_______I Look this vid:at 3:10 It is right now possible to manage three monitors with different aspect ratio and also merged their borders in DX.

This must be the video you're looking for. I thinks it's removed from the DCS page because it says that it shows 'LookOn 1.2'. But we all should know now that Black Shark will be stand alone. http://www.virtual-jabog32.de/index.php?section=downloads&subcat=28&file=355 It's also rather 'old' now and some parts of cockpit and flight dynamics represent not the stage it's up to now. Anyway..., best vid of the flight dynamics out there so far and the VJG32 page is one of the best LockOn archives! :)

The video ( lo res youtube stream: http://de.youtube.com/watch?v=AK4flc6WUxo ) was shown at MAKS 2007 and actually don't tells you what program you use from ED... so I understand it as a promotion what capabilities you can get using a simulation from ED. So I see there no need to explain what is flyable up to now (or even to tell that you can not jump in the ground units :) ). If you are interested you would visit the pages of ED and find out what is possible right now.

OT: Which OS do you use for gaming?
urze replied to Aeroscout's topic in PC Hardware and Related Software
I voted for Xp pro because there is no real alternative. I would also vote for 'I hate vista' see the post in the link: http://forum.lockon.ru/showthread.php?p=298849#post298849 Edit: I use also vista at work and it takes longer (manly graphical applications - I don't [fly] play at work ) ! -
 Your are a such a pessimist! (Russian saying: 'a well informed optimist is a pessimist') I hope I will it see it many times at various shows !
