But with a device like this it would similar to 'touching things' by using a pencil. It's not the natural way u feel something. And I really doubt that when you are sitting in the 'Cockpit' your first intension is to fell the switches - you just want to 'feel' the workload of a real pilot and use the avionics in an effective and realistic way. I believe ( and I'm very sure about that) that with todays given technology a touchscreen is the best tool for this task (and you get also a very natural feedback while touching it).

I don't want to say that its useless, but every item should have a application. Novint falcon - maybe good for 3D object/graphics manipulating but there are already professional solutions with a wider reach for more practical use out there. sure its fun on a party (or on a fair ) but without a real functional application it becomes useless. I really don't believe that you will play a first person shooter with it longer than half an hour...

I hope that I get here also a little input what Tutorials/Projects you want to see next on http://leftside-limited.com and help me to make the tutorials 'Idiot-proof'. :) My Tutorial road map: -How to set up 6 screens/projectors with FC -Integrate FFB with an x52/x52 pro -Turn every monitor in a touchscreen using a wii-remote and a IR-LED/reflective-tape attached to your index finger. like seen here: To use it with touchbuddy and/or a virtual cockpit. -integrate FFB to Saitek Pro Rudder Padals. My intension behind this: I have a ton of e-mails and and PMs from several boards and no time to answer every single question. I hope in writing these tutorials and releasing them on my web page I will reach more people helping them to make their hobby more enjoyable. (But be aware that I can not answer any question that are related to Blackshark before it is released!) :)

You are not bound to use a 16:9 aspect ratio! I run 1280x960 on my upper/center 22". the aspect ratio setting in the graphics.cfg will correct it when you choose the right value ! Also try using the forceware 169.21.:thumbup: P.S. Triggerhappy, You can knock at my door anytime :smilewink:.

If you are using the 1.08 version of SoftTH I highly recommend you to switch to the 1.07 or even the 1.06. LOckon-FC is directX 8. It will not profit from the 1.08 features because they work only for directX 9 games. And many people also reported that they loss FPS. I Loss about 10-15 Frames when using 1.08 . After that you can do several things to get more FPS: -Lower the sidescreen resolution to 1024x768 (960x800) or even 800x600 -try sleepBeforeRead=-1 in the softth CFG -Lower your resolution of your center monitor. -Switch AA and AF to application controlled in the NVIDIA settings and use only the values in the SoftTH CFG I use an overall resolution of 3428x1920 and this is my 1.07 softth.cfg: my Graphics.cfg: I use E6750@3400 and a 8800GT as primary. I'm having a average FPS of 27 ( 16 over Sevastopol ). CPU is a E6750@3400 .

Hi Hannibal, please post your FC graphics.cfg and your softth.cfg that people can see whats wrong with your settings. Anyway, it sounds that you don't have the right aspect ratio set in FC - without knowing your used resolution I can't say what to use.
