Patch 1.13 Requested Features/Fixes List (*Merged)
59th_LeFty replied to Colt40Five's topic in Lock On: Flaming Cliffs 1 & 2
Yep. That's what I sad, so I guess Kuky does not make this mistake. About how it SHOULD work, I'll ask the pilots. Anyway, IFF in these planes is not that magical like in LO, if you move TDS over a target, there is an interrogator button in the stick, ZAPROS I think. In newer systems, with data-link, I've got no idea. -
Patch 1.13 Requested Features/Fixes List (*Merged)

Two problems may cause this: First, when you switch in SNP (TWS) mode, in 75% range of the selected weapon the target is automaticaly locked on, the radar not just "tracking" it. So make sure while testing this bug, that you're way out the ranges of your weapon. Second, if you brake lock, the radar returns to OVZ mode. (normal, with the 3 submodes; dunno what is it in english HUD) I never had problems with that. -

Patch 1.13 Requested Features/Fixes List (*Merged)
59th_LeFty replied to Colt40Five's topic in Lock On: Flaming Cliffs 1 & 2
So about the PRFs: N-001 and N-019 (would be good to know whichone of these is specifically modelled in LO, e.g. 019E has no speed-alt indication of target) works 3 submodes in search mode, PPS, ZPS, and Auto (only in OVT) which adjust PRF. All of these has it's advantages and disatvantages, everyone knows what I'm talking about. But when locked on to a target, in ATK mode these properties remains he same as they was in the previously used search mode. This is not supposed to be. For example in practice, this means that a closing target locked in PPS mode is much more sensible for a beam-maneouver, and the radar loose him. If I lock him up in auto mode, I've much better chances to keep tracking him even if he makes a 180°. IRL this is completely different, track mode uses different PRFs. AS, calm down, dude :) Poor ED can't even realise what you write, there's 2 another one immediately :D -

I noticed a weird bug in the eastern fighters' radar system some time ago, maybe it's time to correct it, if possible. Radar PRF in search mode is OK, but when locked on a target, the PRF properties comes down to the single target track mode. Thats absolutely wrong. -

I'm not sure IRL this must work :) Anyone has reliable source on that??? Very important!!! This is how it works in real life :) Discussed somewhere in an other topic, long time before. Totally agree. Even real Fulcrum pilots told us that realisticG is bulls**t. -

59th_LeFty replied to Alfa's topic in 3D Modeling for DCS World
S! Many-many-many useful links there! It's a real great topic, not only for 3D stuff. :helpsmilie:However I need your help. As see there are some people maybe desperate enough (not like me) to have a MiG-29 cockpit design. I almost downloaded the whole internet to my PC, but I can't find more than photos. I hope its my fault, and someone can drop me a cockpit blueprint. To be clear, I dont need one like this but a real one with sizes. Actually, it would be for a 1:1 cockpit mockup. I know its some weird stuff to be found on the web, but I make it sure :) (Maybe I'll finish sooner if I get in the airbase 2km away and bring a tape-measure and some paper with me...) Thank you in anticipation! -
Now one thing: "Q: What are DCS: Black Shark minimum specifications? A: Although not final, we project the minimum specification to be as follows: CPU: 2 GHz; RAM: 1 GB; Graphics card: Nvidia GeForce FX with 256 MB of RAM / ATI Radeon X1300 with 256 MB of RAM or equivalent; 3 GB free HD space; Operating system: Windows XP SP2 and Vista with DirectX 9 or 10." Minimum DirectX 9?? Isn't LO DX8? If the min.9 stands still, it means incompatibility with previous LO. Am I right?

New BS movie...what would you like to see?
59th_LeFty replied to Coffee999's topic in Lock On: Flaming Cliffs 1 & 2
Some ideas: -SPEED? Drag race between any aircraft, maybe Ka-50 against some ground vehicles :) (civ cars skinned like NFS underground LOL) -INFANTRY!!! -For there are so many high-poly new units, maybe we could use some close-up details e.g. on the inside of a Mi-24 or any sort. -

Thanks, Tomcatter :) I've read about her in an aviation magazine, 3pages the full story. I'm sad about that such a beauty is retired.:( -

http://www.ov-10bronco.net/ mid of page, F-14D Tomcat - "Christine" / "Tomcatter 111" / "Felix 111" No.159600: 6008 Flight hours, 31 years of service, 1614 carrier takeoff/land, last Tomcat flight in history. The longest serving Tomcat in the fleet, she was VERY close to become scrap metal, but finally made it to Texas, aviation museum. She has a long story to tell, but I haven't found anything yet on the web. :notworthy: Thanks to all who took part in saving of Christine! -
Exactly nothing. Put in in to Mediaplayer or any sort as an URL, and enjoy.

MAN, YOU'RE GOOD! AWESOME PICS!!! Pilots thanks for the really good Fulcrum pictures! If someone knows the Slovak albatros pilot, please slap ont the back for THAT My personal favourite, in line at the end dof the rwy :D (it was VERY-VERY CLOSE to the fence and ILS antennae, 1,5m max) The Orao and the Belgian F-16 had also proved alike. No pics unfortunately:( Serbian pilots were very good, the aerobatic team, the supergaleb and the Orao performed excellent shows! We hope they come next time! -

AGM-86 Air-Launched Cruise Missile
59th_LeFty replied to snowbird2's topic in Lock On: Flaming Cliffs 1 & 2
Chose a waypoint and designate it as Attack Point, pick up targets for the B-52, load'em with AGM's and there you go. I don't now about the range, but as i remember about 200km. All single target will be engaged by one missile. have fun! -
:shocking: AWESOME! A movie would be really nice about all RF done yet. :notworthy:

59th_LeFty replied to 192nd_Erdem's topic in Lock On: Flaming Cliffs 1 & 2
Hehe, nice thread from 2005. But let' see how get on with this now, closer to the release of BS. I haven't seen any ED member's post in this thread. Do we have any insight on vehicle damage modeling in BS? Any changes possible in the future? Would be nicwe to see an SPA exploding like the ammo-dump in 1.1 and a Humvee or M818 humiliated by 10 rounds of 50cal. :) ED please say YES or NO:notworthy: -

Great job! I also have a question: The Moscow cruiser is not present on the list. It's simply a small mistake, or it has a reason? -
