wow reminds me of the dc-10 accident in the US ; this one had a better outcome.
-
They are saying that it was a small team of US Seals; I just hope this help the American people unite once again.
-
The credit should go to the brave team of soldiers and airman who pull this off; and also all the US Armed forces who keep fighting day by day. Can't wait to heard the details about the operation; apparently one helicopter as lost (CNN).

Most Russian helicopters are not esthetically pleasing; maybe they are designed just to perform; and looks is the least thing engineers are thinking about. just now they are starting to build prettier choppers like the ka-60 and the mi-38. If there were a aircraft beauty pageant; the first place would be a close competition between mis tomcat and mis flanker.
-
I hope it will help solve the mystery of this accident; there are a lots of airplanes of the same model flying around the world and we still don't know if it was a technical issue.

no picture means that it is not real kukukukuku:lol:

how many su-25t are in service? -
OK I just noticed that you actually made the flaps work like in the real jet  just looking at the video you can tell that the ailerons of flaps work different than in lock-on default model; the ailerons are divided on 3 sections; the inner section works as a flap only; the wing folding mechanism is located at the end of the first flap; after the folding mechanism it has a flaperon; at that is divided by two. The outer sections seems to drop at a lesser angle that the 2 inner sections... let me look for pictures here it is on the take off config http://acecombatskies.com/index.php?app=gallery&image=1787&size=large and here you can see the inner flap section that I was talking about on the up position http://www.airsceneuk.org.uk/airshow01/zhukovsky/su-33.htm Look at this video: pause at 1:48 you can clearly see that when thee airplane with 0 flap down the most inner section doesn't move; only the reminding two sections move right after the wing folding mechanism... just how it is on your model. Cockpit comment alright! then; are you going to sharpen the tail sections too? http://www.flankers-site.co.uk/su-33.htm Don't take me wrong; your model is great! it is that I'm a flanker crazy guy; I actually build like 12 wood models of it from the su-27 to the su-37; it takes a sharp eye to capture the shape and most importantly the look of the real thing; your model is getting there! I also have 2 1/72 cale models and I can tell you there is no 1/72 or 1/48 scale model that have the right shape of the real jet; most of them need modifications to fix their errors; the last link is a great reference place.

Guys that airplane looks gorgeous; I'm working on a model myself and I really know how much work and time it takes to make a model like yours. I'll like to do a small annotation; in case no one has done it before; don't get mad plz... is the shape of the nose and cockpit correct? isn't supposed to have the same outline as the regular su-27? specially where the glass meets the fuselage? look at this picture: http://www1.airliners.net/photo/0413087/L/ also look at this video; can you guys see that the ailerons are different than how they are in lock on? play close attention to 1:18 only the most inner section of the flaps remains fixed it does not move for roll; it is not like it is animated in lock on

Here is a sad article but great testament of true meaning of the word friendship; Soyuz 1 flight Waring: The article contains images that may not be appropriate for all audiences http://www.npr.org/blogs/krulwich/2011/04/08/134597833/cosmonaut-crashed-into-earth-crying-in-rage and here is a more detailed view of the accident: http://www.russianspaceweb.com/soyuz1.html

at least the legs look like photoshop

Looks very similar to the b-52 accident. Looks like the display was way more aggressive than other displays I have seen of the c-17. How hard is to recover from a stall on a spoiler driven aircraft; is it less effective than regular ailerons?

that button is to reboot betty!

can you imagine the smell?

The russians are using flight by wire too; some argue that it is not as advanced as for example the superhornet and f-22. I don't think that there is a way to make a mechanically operated f-22; why? for example if you look at the videos of the f-22 airhows you can see that when it turns the flaps go down depending on the aoa of speed; and they don't just go from up and down; the computers measures how much flap needs to be applied to give best performance; imagine if the pilot had to do that manually? Also what about those cool post stall maneuvers; the airplane would depart or flip if the pilot had to control it manually; you can tell for example when it does a tail slide; all the surfaces move to prevent a spin; imagine if you had to do it yourself. The raptor also uses the rudders to aid the pitch; I find hard to imagine how complex would be to produce the same system operated by the pilot and not a computer. Even the eagle has a computer to help move the airplane around. Just look at the old WWII fighter; most of them had to be operated with lots of care at low speed; most of them would go into a wing rock; some would do it suddenly; others would warn you. The problem is that pilots had to be very cautions trying to not get killed by their airplanes instead of fighting the enemy. What about the f-105 have you seen the sabre dance videos? flight by wire help you prevent that sort of situations; sometimes it also helps reduce airplane deficiencies or improve handling. My only problem with fly by wire is that if you loose your computer or if you experience a failure on your data censors you are in big trouble.

Its me or airplanes are not what they used to be. Highly unlikely scenario next: I wonder what would happen if the Argentinians decided to invade the Malvinas; what would the British do? send a vc-10 to fly mid point the Atlantic to refuel the eurofighters coming from the UK?

needs stripes... everything looks cooler with them

looks like he f4u I lost in a park last week

I wonder if there is a package for people coming from the states? How much would that be?
-
what about an su-30mk2? it can drop lots of cool stuff.
-
Sad stuff; RIP... I wonder if it is the same aircraft I filmed at the Great Ga Airshow? About the flanker; what is the lady on the video saying?
-
great video with engine noise!

Dude even if it had spikes; nothing change the fact that it is inside of one of the coolest machine made by man. About the photos; did you use high ISO?
