guys check this guys channel on vimeo; Artur Sarkisyan he is the guy that films most of the videos from airshows in russia; here is a video showing the cameras he uses. and check this one: ka-50 and su-33 http://vimeo.com/7570344 cool stuff

I think that that is what happens when you buy an airplane before all the testing is finished. Military contracts should be handled differently. I believe that lockheed is working in too many contracts at the same time; tons of contracts placed into a sole firm; it doesn't seems right to me.

mi-28 crash video http://rutube.ru/tracks/1492550.html?v=63a93c1bec5daa45f2002f4545425f40

actually if I'm not mistaken that one was hit by a bomb from another bomber
-
I guess you never saw the f-22 with the engines off or the superhornet.
-
I though that redbull was an sponsor of the russian knights... drones who want to see computer controlled airshows there is no human skill there

SU27 flight manual, start up explanation, cockpit pics.

you are the man! -
That is must be right; the real thing seems to turn better; specially on instantaneous turns; why are you guys saying that the pilot on this air shows AREN'T overriding thE aoa limiter? they jus need to pull a little more passing 28 aoa before they get kicked by the tick with -5 degrees of aoa. If you take a close look to the video; most of those pulls don't have lateral inputs, because they don't want to risk entering into a spin; just like the manual says. Just because the charts were followed closer in lock-on it doesn't mean that the aircraft can go beyond what is shows on paper. The americans proved that when the flew the mig-21 without having a manual at hand; they were able to take the mig to tighter turns and to higher alpha than what was recommended on the pilot manual; yes the mig prove to be an airbrake on tight turns; but also had better instantaneous turn performance than most fighters of that era; and could go very slow allowing to snap and get slower than the airplane behind (this probably changed with later models since thy got heavier).

I was comparing low load mig on lock on with airshow migs; if you look at the first video; that one is using a fuel tank on the fuselage.
-
I beg to differ; the mig should have better instantaneous turn rates; the real thing can point its nose like a hornet; probably to do that real pilots override the aoa limiter; we can't do that in lock-on. High aoa handling seems to be limited by the flight model. play close attention from 1:40 we can't do those moves in lock-on; you have to be around 480 to 500 to try to match that type of pulls in lock-on. Look for example the pull at the beginning; the mig on the video has a fuel thank and is a two seater; the single seater is supposed to be a bit more agile. embedding won't work try this link: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=vgcNY-B1q-A&feature=related or look this video; the real mig can clearly pull more than in lock-on :

I though it was some kind of warning system against heat seeking missiles.

yeah but that is like asking the Blue Angels to fly Hawks and ask the Thunderbirds to fly a texan!
-
but why? the 130 is cool but it is not as bad ass as a mig or a su! why!
-
I want one for my birthday! but family to broke for that :( do thay still make parts for this jet?
-
so what is the optical thing on the nose?
-
I'm just glad nothing happened; I tell you when the Blue Angels come to Georgia thousands and thousands of people come to see them; it is all over the news; it is something fantastic; so it would be horrible to se them having and accident. The pretty much are the embodiment of the dream of flying.

Here on this video you can see the type of automatization the airbus uses. You can see that the computer won't let you stall the airplane; where the pilots trained to fly the jet full manual; without the help of the computer? was the ADI working? if not I figure they suffer the same type of confusion of the Aeroperu 603

Someone posted a video on youtube of the su-35 doing tvc moves; I haven't posted it here because it was film from far away and the music is a bit weird.

I was never able to run flight simulator X on my computer; 2 days ago I decided to gave it a try and played a bit with the antialising settings and bam! the frame rates became acceptable; without maxing out the settings like dynamic scenery; my biggest problem with fsx is the crappy flight modeling; if it was up to me; I would have made fsx with fever airplanes; a small prop airplane; a jet and a helicopter; but using a high fidelity flight model and instrumentation. I would implement better navigation an atc; and instead of providing a million of airports I would have fewer and accurate airports. the missions are cool but unrealistic. I guess we will have to se how the new version of x plane performs.

what is the difference between regular delta wing an diamond shape wigs in aerodynamic terms? I did notice that the j-20 has the wing far back; what is the benefit? if you look at the rafale and the grippen; they both have the wing closer to the center of the airplane; why is that? to reduce drag while turning? Last 2 questions: Are the f-15, su-27 and mig-29 equipped with a stick shaker like commercial airplanes? I read a while a go that the su-27 flight control system don't correct inertias for the pilot like an f-16 would do; like for example while rolling; the pilot has to stop the roll by applying opposite aileron deflection to stop the roll; the f-16 does it automatically for the pilot; the same applies for the pitch at a lesser degree. Now my question is; are newer flankers like for example the mki using a more advanced flight control system that helps with the inertias?
-
Wow see that is why I like the flanker so much, so rugged and beautiful at the same time. One of the pilots looked like like Victor Pugachov

j-20 at Paralay That bird looks sharp! again thanks to Paralay.com for the pictures
-
New su-35 prototype pictures; check paralay Paralay has new pictures of the su-35 check it out! what is the stuff on the nose? without paint there is a video on youtube of the su-35 doing some tvc moves; but didn't post it because it has some strange music.

wow!
