Do you guys speak chinese to know for sure that the were saying that those movie clips were from a chinese fighter downing another aircraft? I'm not trying to be mean; but sometimes news programs use whatever movies they can get to "show" or report something. I got tired of watching news about aircrafts were they show the wrong aircraft; give wrong designations; take accounts from people that have no aviation background; or do some crappy animation showing how an aircraft crashed. Sometimes they try to create controversy when there is absolutely nothing to create controversy.

you sure; I did some test and the eagle reached mach1 faster than the mig; from take off; maybe I did the test before the correction ed did to the flight models and flaps after they released the 1.2

I wonder if the buran had the same foam problems as the space shuttle.

First the f-16 used for the mission were not supposed to fly that far(they were modified); so no one ever expected to see then reaching that far. They were new fighters; no one expected to see the Israeli using them so soon. they flew very low until they reached the target (VERY LOW; LOMAC CRAZY LOW). No one though that the israli would dare to attack on the first place! and they provably timed the attack knowing at what hour the radars were turn off or the crews changed soooo there you go.

you have to fly the russian birds; you have to compensate for inertias during roll; and pitch; you have to trim them that is why I like them more than the eagle; the eagle is too easy to handle very smooth.
