  1. There are instructions for setting up the displays here: http://bit-shift.com/a10vcserver/index.html#displayconfig
  2. While I've not used the Mirage driver I DO know that it absolutely will not work in Windows 8, so if you're trying to use it there, it will not work. If you've got 3 monitors I'd just suggest sticking the MFCDs off in the far corners, you'll pretty much never even notice them :)
  3. Just wanted to let you guys know that I'm running a sale for Black Friday - 33% off through tomorrow! http://itunes.apple.com/us/app/icontrol-dcs/id435409019
  4. Glad you found it useful! :)
  5. Sorry guys, I realize there is interest in an interest, unfortunately I don't have the time to deal with the sub-par Android development environment and the effort required to make the port. If you want Control DCS on a non-Apple tablet keep your eyes open for the Windows Store App version that'll be coming soon for Surface and other Windows 8 tablet/PCs! I suppose it'd be a good idea to lock this thread if someone can make that happen.
  6. Do you see anything when you switch to the CDU page on the iPad?
  7. You need to make sure you've selected the "Show CDU" option in the display configuration within A-10 VC Server. Note, that since you're using Helios, this might mess things up with your display configuration for Helios and you may need to manually edit/merge your old/new display configuration lua files.
  8. I looked into it (finally got 1.2.1 installed myself) and it seems to work fine for me. Make sure that you follow the update procedure outlined here http://forums.eagle.ru/showthread.php?t=94676 After you upgrade, make sure you run the sim, and start an A-10 mission. Far enough to get past activation and get in-sim. Once you've done that, exit the sim, and force a script update via Tools -> Update DCS Scripts If that doesn't work, feel free to open a support ticket at http://support.bit-shift.com
  9. It appears 1.2.1 broke iControl DCS. I may not get a chance to look at this until 2-3 weeks from now. Busy tomorrow and have a bachelor party and wedding to attend the next two weekends. I'll take a look ASAP and update everyone as soon as I can. I might get a chance to look at it during the week, but work has been chaotic lately as well. Hang in there guys. I know it's not the answer you're looking for, but I'm doing the best I can with the time I have available! :)
  10. I'm sorry you were having difficulty with the server software. It sounds like you need to configure the display setup within the server itself. I apologize for taking so long to get back to you. I'm a one man operation and work on iControl DCS in my spare time. Had a lot going on this weekend including a funeral. I've responded to your trouble ticket. I hope we can get this resolved and get the software working for you. If not, I'll be glad to help you uninstall it as well.
  11. Yeah, this is pretty much the case. Certainly it's doable, but it might end up being nearly as expensive and definitely much, much more time consuming than just getting a used desktop display.
  12. Keep an eye on twitter and you might get a free copy of iControl DCS this weekend. Tell all your friends!
  13. In addition to the SimHQ review, here's a link to the Shacknews Community Spotlight that has a fair amount of commentary about the development process I went through to make this app! (A lot of which you can read about by sluffing through my post history here :) ) http://www.shacknews.com/article/75537/community-spotlight-icontrol-dcs
  14. For anyone who uses the virtual display to export their CDU or MFCDs to, be aware that if you upgrade to Windows 8 you will no longer be able to use the DFMirage virtual display!
  15. Instructions for configuring the server are available on the bit-shift.com website at http://bit-shift.com/a10vcserver/index.html#help and http://bit-shift.com/a10vcserver/index.html#displayconfig If that doesn't help, please send me an email at the address located in the top right corner of http://www.bit-shift.com/ and I'll help you out there!
  16. I've looked into issuing commands directly and couldn't come up with a good way to do it. If anyone else knows of a way, I'd really like to know as well. I'd love to incorporate it into iControl DCS.
  17. Please send an email to support@bit-shift.com and I'll be glad to help you out!
  18. Awesome. Enjoy! :pilotfly:
  19. I will not be creating an Android version. If you want to hold out for an alternate platform, I can almost guarantee there will be a Windows 8 version that will work on WinRT tablets (Surface, etc.) Any iPad will work for iControl DCS. Generation 2 and 3 devices have more processing power and you will get higher framerates with the MFCDs, but generation 1 devices are still very usable. All communication is done via WiFi. 802.11B is not fast enough, G or N are what you'll want to use. This is something that should be on the website, I'll add it this weekend!
  20. That definitely shouldn't happen. Send me an email at support@bit-shift.com and we'll try to figure out what's going on!
  21. iPads aren't capable of networking over USB. The only way to get data from another source is via WiFi or 3G. Obviously 3G will be significantly slower and much higher latency than WiFi. Your best option would be to get a new wireless router if yours is unstable.
  22. #1 - Yep, that's coming in a future version. I thought swiping would be a good way to do it, but it turns out it's pretty difficult to use. That said, it's going to require a pretty significant rework of how I do things, so it'll be in the next major version. No ETA on that yet. #2 - If you log into the App Store on your second iPad using the Apple account you purchased with you should be able to install the full version that way. You can do this on up to 5 devices that you own. #3 - This is something I've considered. I won't commit to doing it, but I won't say it's out of the realm of possibility either :) In fact, I'd rather just get the mission data directly from the sim and be able to display that. I'd probably still add note taking functionality too. We'll see! Glad you like it
  23. At this point, I don't actually have a good answer for that question. I've got a few ideas, but I'm not sure what I'm going to do yet. So for the time being, consider it stand alone for A-10 only! :smilewink:
  24. Went to Oshkosh last weekend and got this photo - They wouldn't let me climb in and try starting it though ;)
  25. It's possible that your WiFi router changed and won't work with bonjour any more.
