DCS F-86 Kneeboard ATC Channel List
Milli replied to uboats's topic in Utility/Program Mods for DCS World
Thanks. -
I believe they are: ; RCtrl Trim: Nose Down . RCtrl Trim: Nose Up , RCtrl Trim: Left Wing Down / RCtrl Trim: Right Wing Down Z RCtrl Yaw Trim Left X RCtrl Yaw Trim Right T LCtrl Reset Trimmers Got these from an old keyboard pdf file I have. I'm assuming they are the same. But you can go into the game options and choose controls tab and select the A-10C Sim controls. They should be in the list of controls. Have a look at the following categories: Stability Augmentation System; HOTAS. Hope this helps. Regards, Milli

What is the Location of Kneeboard Lua for Monitor Placement
Milli replied to Strut's topic in DCS: F-86F Sabre
Not sure if this is of any help but there is this: DCS World\Mods\aircrafts\F-86\Cockpit\Scripts\device_init.lua see line number 246 which says: dofile(LockOn_Options.common_script_path.."KNEEBOARD/declare_kneeboard_device.lua") The file declare_kneeboard_device.lua can be found here: DCS World\Scripts\Aircrafts\_Common\Cockpit\KNEEBOARD A file mentioned in the declare_kneeboard_device.lua file is the init.lua which can be found here: DCS World\Scripts\Aircrafts\_Common\Cockpit\KNEEBOARD\indicator Hope this info is of help to you, sorry if it isn't. The plane above, FU-129, was sold/given (under a Mutual Assistance Pact) to the Yugoslavian Air Force in 1961, a then communist state, where F-86's briefly flew along side the Mig-21 in the latter part of their lives. They were decommisioned in the early 1970's. An interesting titbit/tidbit for you. Regards, Milli

New Fire and smoke for DCS 1.2.6.
Milli replied to Foxbeard's topic in Utility/Program Mods for DCS World
Hi Devrim I think I know how to change the burning time of individual vehicles. Look at the .lua files located here: DCS World\Scripts\Database\vehicles Choose a vehicle, for example the Challenger 2 tank in the tanks folder, open the file Challenger2.lua and go to line number 75. Here you will find this entry: --Burning after hit GT.visual.fire_size = 1.0; --relative burning size GT.visual.fire_pos[1] = 0; -- center of burn at long axis shift(meters) GT.visual.fire_pos[2] = 0; -- center of burn shift at vertical shift(meters) GT.visual.fire_pos[3] = 0; -- center of burn at transverse axis shift(meters) GT.visual.fire_time = 1200; --burning time (seconds) See the last line, its the burning time (as if you couldn't guess!). I'm not sure if there is a global variable that we can change but this will work for individual vehicles. Bit time consuming though lol. Maybe have a look at the file FireVehicle.lua found here: \Bazar\ParticleEffects\effects Line number 73 refers to the life time of fire. Also the file FlatSmokeCloud.lua, line number 13. This maybe a more global edit? In fact there are lots of files in this folder that you can look at. Hope this is of some use. Regards, Milli -
Azrayen, you're an official DCS French translator living in France, now thats cool. I am learning french but as a 43 year old Englishman, I am finding all those verb conjugations are taxing my brain to its limit. One day I will be a capable french speaker. Perhaps I should browse the French forum sometime. Anyway, I am enjoying the Sabre. Learning the systems and how to fly it, while, hopefully, DCS sorts out the AI aircraft so we can have a fair fight. Regards, Milli

Calm down Boston! The .miz file is the mission file. Put it in your missions folder in DCS World\Mods\aircrafts\A-10C\Missions\EN\Training or any other folder you care to choose or create. Start DCS World and go to Missions and then click on A-10C. From there go find the mission file that you downloaded. Select it and go fly. Deep breaths and relax. Regards, Milli

As a guess, I'd say it is some sort of casing that is expended after getting the missile out of the water and into the air. Not that I really know much about these things. But it looks like a sea launch missile.

Hi guys. I've been looking at youtube videos of this game. I'm be interested in playing this game but I have a strong, probably irrational, aversion to Steam. I can't get it out of my head that the steam platform would be bad for my computer and way of playing games. Am I just being stupid about this or should I just go ahead and install steam and start playing? Regards, Milli
