Hi Ebs Good simple video. Just one question though not related to A2A refuelling and that is what is displayed on your left MFD? It looks like a sheet of paper with writing on it or something similar. Regards, Milli

Looking for one Mod for colored the front canopy...
Milli replied to Skulleader's topic in Utility/Program Mods for DCS World
I think I've cracked it. Seems to be working ok. The front quarter windows are tinted while the side and front windows remain clear. See attached picture. Go to your .....DCS World\Mods\aircrafts\A-10C\Cockpit\Resources\Model\Textures folder. Here you will find a zip file called A_10C_C_EDM_TEX.zip What you need to do is open this A_10C_C_EDM_TEX.zip file (after first making a backup copyof it), find the file inside called A-10C-glass-REFLECT.dds and delete it from that zip file. Then, put my A-10C-glass-REFLECT.dds (found inside the attached zip file below) into the A_10C_C_EDM_TEX.zip file. Colour and strength of the tint can be changed by editing the .dds file. I used photoshop with the NVIDIA DDS plug-in. You can try GIMP Freeware as well but I'm not familiar with that one. Would like to hear any remarks to try to fine tune it further. I'm new to dds files and modding in general so please bear with me. Regards, Milli A-10C-glass-REFLECT.zip -
Reaper is very good. Its free to try forever! Or you can buy it to stop a short nag screen at start up. Excellent reviews everywhere. See here for the homepage: http://www.reaper.fm/index.php Quote from website that would be of interest to you: 'Sound Design and Game Development REAPER has many features to help automate repetitive tasks, such as custom UI macros and ReaScripts written in Perl or Python. Easily render many files at once with an innovative and flexible system of region render wildcards. Batch processing tools for processing/converting files, queued render support, extensive command line options for automating REAPER from other applications or scripts. Read/write compressed file formats directly, and read/write multichannel (up to 64 channel) files. REAPER's project file format is human readable and easily created/modified using other tools/scripts. JS: Native audio/MIDI processing script language included, great for custom processing.' Mission Generator Templates - how do I get them back?
Milli replied to Milli's topic in DCS: A-10C Warthog
Hi Paul Since no one replied to me with my original request, its only fitting that I should oblige you! Download mine from here: http://www.mediafire.com/download.php?bc2egn0jikmpa3d Its from a newly installed, unmodded DCS World v12.3.10201 (the latest). Regards, Milli -
Combined Arms is in the shop window now. Just bought it.

Isn't this just the same as setting the affinity using the task manager? i.e just select 2 cores for the dcs.exe process. Regards, Milli

Looking for one Mod for colored the front canopy...

I tried to get this working too but to no avail. The middle screen is yellow as noted above. Would really like to have this mod working. Regards, Milli -
I keep coming back to the shop website to see if Combined Arms is there and it never is. Sale will be over soon. Regards, Milli

(Sort of) glad i found this posting. I've been going round and round in circles trying to find out where to buy Combined Arms. Its definitely not on the shop website. Will keep an eye on the situation and buy it when I see it. Regards, Milli

=LFC= Chameleon's Mission Pack
Milli replied to LFCChameleon_Silk's topic in User Created Missions General
Thank you for the missions =LFC=Chameleon_Silk. Keep up the good work. It is appreciated. Regards, Milli -
Thats very cool. Simple, functional, non-cluttered. I like it. Regards, Milli

Well my plane has them. Look at your Lights Control Panel, you'll see a switch called Position. Flip that up to have your position lights flash. There are also Anti-Collision strobe lights that have a switch next to the one just mentioned, turn that on to flash away. Oh yeah, make sure your pinky switch (on throttle) is postioned aft, not middle or forward, otherwise it will override your Lights Control Panel settings. Regards, Milli

Hi I watched a video on youtube last night of someone re-fueling the a-10 (DCS World, not real life) and I noticed that after he filled up with fuel he pressed the T/O trim button. So i guess people do do it in flight as well as pre-takeoff. I'll try it when I'm next flying. Regards, Milli

Thank you. Regards, Milli

Thats a great pity. Your mod is one of the best. I'll have to investigate it myself then, just looks very complicated though! Regards, Milli

Can someone adapt this great mod for the A-10 in DCS World v1.2.3? Regards, Milli
-
This is a bit complicated to explain. I shall try though. First, I use JSGME Mod Enabler to manage my Mods. I've created a folder called DCS A-10C Real sound COMBINED with ZZSpace. I then copied the whole of zzspace's mod into this new folder. I then went through the Real Sound Mod folder and chose which sounds I wanted to put into and replace in zzspaces mod. From memory I think it was the engine sounds, the wind noises (i.e the internal cockpit sounds) and of course the gun sound. I left out the repeater sound file (GAU8End.wav). I put all the chosen files into the corresponding folders in my new folder containing zzspaces mod. Basically I mixed and matched the sounds I like. I then simply enable the new mod using JSGME Regards, Milli

Hi Chazz Ulric The problem with the internal and external sound of the gun (in the Real Sound DCS A10 Mod) is that the gun sound includes that "repeater" sound at the end of the gun firing sequence. Its a sort of "echo" sound, hard to describe. Listen to the file GAU8End.wav. Thats the sound i'm talking about. It sounds fantastic when listening to it from outside the plane, its very realistic, but in real life, it would not be heard inside the cockpit. It would only be heard by someone standing some distance from the plane. Its a bit hard to describe. In the youtube demo it seems to have been taken out too. Regards, Milli

Flight Simulator by Psion for my ZX81. I had a RAM pack which boosted the computer from 1K of memory to a whopping 16K ! Was the first game that I bought, must have been in 1982, I loved it. Regards, Milli
