I can see an image. A very big one at that. Pretty much the same options that I use except for the visible range setting. I have mine on Medium. FPS are ok when flying on my own, but once there is a battle going on then my fps gets stupidly low, unplayable at times. I use fps saving mods too. Bit ridiculous really. Regards, Milli

I made a .wav file from the youtube clip of the interior of the A-10 cockpit attacking the tank. Put the file PlaneWindIn.wav (see attachment) inside your ...\DCS World\Sounds\Effects\Aircrafts folder, making sure you backup the original file beforehand. I am using a combination of: 1. zzzspace's sound mod - http://www.lockonfiles.com/files/file/2413-zzzspace-v20-real-sound-for-dcs-world/ and 2. the real sounds mod found here - http://www.lockonfiles.com/files/file/2435-real-sound-dcs-a-10c/ I selected the sounds I like from each package and created my own sound package. I use JSGME to simply put the package into the correct folders. Love it. This new file sounds good with the combination I've made up from the two packages. Regards, Milli PlaneWindIn.zip

Looking for one Mod for colored the front canopy...
Milli replied to Skulleader's topic in Utility/Program Mods for DCS World
Try this file skulleader. Any changes you want just ask, it doesn't take long to change, just a few minutes. I've made this one a bit more 'orangey-red' and a little more pronounced. If I turn up the effect too much then visibilty can be very reduced when the sun is at 90 degrees to the side panel and at a low altitude. The panel seems to 'glow' brightly! This glowing is a problem that I do not know how to overcome. Angle of the sun hitting the side panel makes a huge difference on the visibility of this effect (whether good or bad). Hi luckyluca. I just bought a pot of EM-30L grease from eBay, posted from the USA. Took about 4 or 5 days to get here to the UK. Bought this item here: http://www.ebay.co.uk/itm/270666662651?ssPageName=STRK:MEWNX:IT&_trksid=p3984.m1497.l2649 Was very fast, simple and painless to do. Regards, Milli

Hi Skull. Have you tried the file I posted in post 38 above? That file removed the colour from my TACAN and ILS windows. I'm using it at the moment and it looks fine. Regards, Milli -
I'd stop looking if I were you. Smoke has gone as far as I can tell. I was modding something and was comparing two files, one from 1.2.3 and another from 1.2.4 The file in question can be found here: DCS World\Mods\aircrafts\A-10C\Input\A-10C\keyboard\default.lua Comparing these two files I noticed that the keystroke to turn the smoke on and off has gone in 1.2.4 The line missing in 1.2.4 is this: {combos = {{key = 'T', reformers = {'LShift'}}}, down = iCommandPlaneWingtipSmokeOnOff, name = 'Smoke', category = 'Systems'}, So it looks as though there is no smoke from the wing tips any more. At least there is no key to start and stop it it anyway. Try pasting that line above into your default.lua and see if it enables your smoke. Just a thought. Regards, Milli

Ok, I think my file is different because it has been modified by the "Proper Neck and smaller-realistic 6DOF limits" mod. See the attachment for the default, unmodded ,SnapViewsDefault.lua found in a freshly installed DCS World 1.2.3. The file is from the DCS World\Config\View folder. See line number 1060 where it says Snap[11][13]["viewAngle"] = 75 This is the A-10C cockpit field of view setting. I have mine at 85 degrees. This is the line to edit. Note that line 14 says "Index 13 defines default cockpit view." Index number 11 is the A-10C, so Snap[11][13]["viewAngle"]= the default cockpit view angle. Is there a SnapViewDefault.lua in your DCS World\Config\View folder? Can you find the line Snap[11][13]["viewAngle"] = 75? Regards, Milli SnapViewsDefault.lua
-
Have a look at the file called SnapViewsDefault.lua found at DCS World\Config\View\SnapViewsDefault.lua You will see a section near the top like this: PlaneIndexByCockpitView = [su_27] = 1,13 [su_33] = 2,13 [su_25] = 3,13 [su_25T] = 4,13 [su_39] = 4,13 [MiG_29] = 5,13 [MiG_29G] = 5,13 [MiG_29C] = 5,13 [MIG_29K] = 6,13 [A_10A] = 7,13 [F_15] = 8,13 [KA_50] = 9,13 [A_10C] = 11,13 [P_51D] = 12,13 As I wanted to change the A-10C cockpit field of view I noted that [A-10C] = 11,13. So I went down the file all the way to line number 1078 where it says Snap[11][13]["viewAngle"] = 75 This is the cockpit field of view for the A-10C. You can change the value here. Change the field of view for the aircraft you want by noting the PlaneIndexByCockpitView =x,y. Go find the corresponding Snap[x][y][viewAngle"]= S line. Change the S value to your liking. Hope this helps. Sorry if its not what you are asking for. Regards, Milli

DCS A-10C - How to increase districts visibility distance
Milli replied to Kuky's topic in Utility/Program Mods for DCS World
I'm using the modified OptionsData.lua file in conjunction with a tweaked low.lua file. Its working ok with v1.2.3 on my computer. I have my tweaked visible range settings available in the Visible Range drop down box. Regards, Milli
