Someone just getting into lock-on that knows of the existence of FC will also know of the existence of the gold version and will buy that version if he so wishes. If someone is just getting into lock-on by seeing the original version in the store and picking up a copy can then choose whether of not he wants FC. Then if he does he buys the download version. Whatever this new guy does he is still not being lied to. But somehow in your logic he is. I am also starting to doubt that you are valiantly taking up this cause for the new guy. I think you are just doing this to stir up sh1t because you think that ED has duped you personally in some way.

So the way I see it Lock-on Gold costs $29.99 where as the D/L version now costs $25. Still cheaper for the D/L option. so nothing has changed there. I have had the use of FC since the first day it was released and all that was fixed since then was the stutter fix and the lod fix so how have I been a beta tester? I just bought Doom3 for £10 in Game. does that mean everyone that bought it when originally released was ripped off or that they were beta testers because it is now up to version 1.3 Don't think so. Welcome to the world of software.

Not really. I bought LO:MAC when first released so I have had the enjoyment of it from the start. I bought FC when first released and had only to reactivate starforce once after I changed my RAM, CPU and graphics card in one go. I now have 14 reactivations of starforce left. No problems at all with it, I'm one happy 25T pilot you never hear any complaining from. :) With the fact that I don't need to keep a CD in the drive, the fact that the registry backup utility meens I can reinstall FC as many times as I want without wasting any starforce activations and the fact that My PC has a 478 Skt Mobo with AGP and I have updated as far as it can handle. So no more activations with this PC anyway. Worked out better for me than the CD add-on would. :D

US version of Lock-on: Modern Air Combat had the A-10 on its cover. Stormin already posted in a few threads over in UBI a while back about this not being 1.1 FC but 1.02 but as usual the search function doesn't work. As far as I can remember he said that UBI and ED/TFC were looking into it as it was only 1.02 reboxed. I take it that you have Lock-on version 1.02. Humancockpit=yes does not work for that version, only 1.1 Flaming Cliffs.

I agree and totally support you on this. I come here for Lock-on and aviation talk not politics. Topics like this although started in respect will always degenerate into politics. Its just human nature. I usually stay away from all threads and forums of a political nature.

IMHO Jet Thunder would fill this gap with their Harriers, A-4's etc and being set in 1980's Falklands/ Malvinas campaign. Haven't heard anything in a while though.

Or you could map all the controls you need to your HOTAS. On my X-45 I have Tv zoom in, out, Increase target size and decrease target size to the POV 3 switch. slew TV left, Right, Up, Down on the mouse cursor button and lock to the mouse fire. This set up works great.

enter the name of the processes into the google searchbar. There are sites that tell you what the processes are, what they are used for, whether they are spyware and how to delete them if they are. Remember to defrag you HD regulary. I defrag my HD once a day.

Because increasing and decreasing the target size is only for the size of target you want to lock up. Nothing to do with what is displayed on the TV.
