Likely to reinstall from scratch..
504 Wolverine replied to S77th-konkussion's topic in Lock On: Flaming Cliffs 1 & 2
Don't think that it is really necessary; when you run modman after fresh install it should recognise that it is a fresh install and write the appropriate back-up files. But of course doing it wouldn't hurt either. -
Likely to reinstall from scratch..
504 Wolverine replied to S77th-konkussion's topic in Lock On: Flaming Cliffs 1 & 2
Sounds about right. This is how I installed when the patch was released. 1, Utilize registry tool 2, Uninstalled and erased folder 3, Used starforce removal tool (but said that there was no drivers on my system looks like removal tool is built into unistaller) 4, Installed LO-ACS (LO-MAC) 5, Installed FC (D/L) + Seasons pack & Video pack 6, Double clicked the registry setting that tool saved. 7, Ran 1.1 then exited 8, installed 1.11 patch Sorted. :D You could leave out No 7 but I was making sure that registry setting was correct. You don't need the stutter hotfix or LOD fix, these are built into the 1.11 patch. Good luck. -
I had the heat blur problem in 1.02 when I had my 5200 & 5900. It usually occurs when you push your card a little too hard. Try reducing your in-game settings until you find the sweet spot.

1, Does this happen when you are flying the campaigns that came with lock-on? 2, Have you ever declassified these campaigns before?

Multiplayer message bug (no not that one)
504 Wolverine replied to Gazehound's topic in Bugs and Problems
Ah sorry mate, I know of what bug you speak of now. I also suffer from it also. That flight I had the other night with Wolfie I didn't have a single kill message. I asked Wolfie about it on msn afterwards but he had no ideas on the subject. Sometimes when I open and close it the team chat keys then the global chat keys it fixes it but it would be nice to know of a permanent fix (if any). -
It was not a requirement but a recommendation. I followed the recommended way and did a clean install 1.0 - 1.1 - 1.11.

Arraamis if you use the LockOn_Save_Registry tool available to save the SF registry info and burn the file somewhere safe you will never have to worry about the number of times you have to reinstall FC.

Fog - not usable in Lockon
504 Wolverine replied to jason_peters's topic in Lock On: Flaming Cliffs 1 & 2
I know they didn't work in that mission we had yesterday but smoke rockets are working for me again. Strange one. Fog was also cool. I don't know the settings but Wolfie could tell you that. -
Ah yeah, that explains it. I thought it was the Albatros frigate to the south not the Molinya corvettes at Kerch. Doh

The A-10 can carry LGB's but cannot designate the targets itself. It relies on Buddy lasing from other aircraft or ground forces. Buddy lasing is not modelled in Lock-On so there is no point to arming them with the LGB's

ED you better buck up your ideas.....

I also agree. One of my favourite aircraft. I think we are a bit too optimistic to expect it to be a flyable but to just include it as an AI aircraft would be great. After all it is still used by many countries including NATO members and has been modernised many times. -
I knew about the SAM friendly fire bug, and have been a victim to it many times but it's the first time I heard of a ship using guns. They usually try to down you with sams.
-
-
You sure it was a friendly ship? By the sounds of it I think it was the Kerch Strait mission you were flying and there is 2 russian ships on the Caucus side of the strait. They would be a bit trigger happy with hog's.

Well in this part of your post you are describing Lock-On Payload Editor (LOPE).

Starforce checks more then once
504 Wolverine replied to Raploc's topic in Lock On: Flaming Cliffs 1 & 2
The above statement is sort of correct but should read as this. "that the Removal Tool that was supplied was to help ensure that if you uninstalled the first released Flaming Cliffs demo that Starforce was completely removed as well." We can all remember that the first demo accidently loaded the starforce files to your computer. When ED was made aware of this they supplied the starforce removal tool and reworked the demo so it contains no starforce files. Seems that the folks who were not aware of this thought it was a hack around the security of FC. Silly people. :D -

I would agree with GG here. IMHO People are really making a moutain out of a mole hill. Afterall Excellent skill means just that, excellent. -
I have also had this problem twice in single player while flying a very simple su-25 test mission. I was attempting to record a track of it when I pressed escape the screen went completely black then changed to night. Only way to quit from mission was to end lock-on via Ctrl-Alt-Del. I include screenshots and the mission in question. Mission was created after patch was installed over a clean install.

No. Will be added in 1.2.

Tunguskas shooting down Mavericks?

Haven't seen anyone ask a vital question on this subject. What was the skill setting of said AD site? Average or as I suspect Excellent.
