IIRC Lock-on gold is only available in the states. Have a look at the download version and see if it would suit you. It is only £10 for it. I have the download version myself and have had no problems whatsoever with it. You will need the original Lock-on with it but as you said its pretty cheap. £5 on Ebay and in Game stores.

The hook is irrelevant to AI aircraft. Don't know about player controlled aircraft though. -

IRL visually the Su-25T and Su-25TM are identical so in Lock-on 1.1 the TM uses the same model as the T version Yes the Su-39 had a hook in 1.02 but the carrier capability was removed in 1.1 for realism purposes. They don't. The aircraft that have SFM (standard Flight Model, F-15, A-10, MiG-29, Su-27, Su-33) each have their own flight model. The AI also has their own "simplified" model. Adding flyable into Lock-on is not as simple as it looks. On the F-14 you have to model the backseater and the workload he does as well as the swept wings (which only the AI has). Both the F-14 and F/A-18s TAC Manuals are classified so getting first hand information on these aircraft is next to impossible. The Mig-29K... well ask Alfa about this. ;) The only other flyable that is being added to the Lock-on series is the Ka-50 attack helicopter. See ”Black Shark” for more details. After that the next flight sims for ED will be released (hopefully). -

The Su-25K is the Su-25 in the game or as people term it, the Vanilla (plain version) As to the hook. The Su-25TM (Su-39 as you would call it) is not a carrier based aircraft, hence the removal of the hook. The carrier version is the Su-25UTG which is a 2 seat trainer used to train naval pilots on carrier landings. -
WTF is E-mule? EDIT: Never mind, just googled it. Its one of those peer to peer file sharing thingies. Good luck trying to get Flaming Cliffs of one of those. lmao.

The weapons are not invisible. The Su-25K, Su-25T and Su-25TMs weapons are hardcoded (for want of a better word) into the game. This means that if the Su-25TM is controlled by a human, weapons such as the R-77, Kh-35 or radar pod is dumped. This also means that no illegal weapons can be loaded onto the 25K or 25T. Alpha or one of the Devs will be able to explain it better than I can. Without these additional weapons the 25TM is the same as a 25T so I wouldnt even bother making it flyable. EDIT: the Kh-58 and Kh-25MPU are rather formidable weapons against SAM's. IIRC there is no way a Su-25TM can launch a Kh-31 IRL because it doesn't fly fast enough. IIRC the Kh-31 must be launched over a certain speed. -

Well if all were dropped on the exact same point we are going to see the exact same radius of destruction, just a larger deeper crater.

In 1992 there was a 2000lb bomb that destroyed the Forensic science labs in East Belfast. The blast was heard up to 30 miles away and did a lot of damage to property (over 700 homes) up to 7 miles away. I myself live 5 miles away from "ground zero" and I remember this incident clearly. Windows on the side facing the blast were damaged and the door flew open like someone kicked it in. I for one would not like to be within a mile of a mk-84 If I ever find the pic of the blast damage to the labs and area I will post it. The blast radius of 2000lbs of explosives is amazing.

1. I don't know how this happens but sometimes they are not visible, sometimes they are. Strange one that and as you said a well known bug. 2. Nav system in 25T works ok for me. 3. Also mentioned on this forum is that the training missions are 1.1 missions and don't behave properly in 1.11.

If its asking to reactivate each time FC is started then something is wrong. Try to sort out the problem instead of wasting a valuable activation. Something as silly as the Aux.1 button on the X-45 can make starforce ask for reactivation so check everything. -
Well here is my tale from the server. Enter server in my 25T and spool up and do checks. Looking to my side I see No12 on the apron as well, a quick check on the server list and i see its Pak. Call up the tower and I am given permission to taxi to the active then when on the active I get permission to take off. Just as I am about to rotate a Su-25T taxis on to the wrong side of the runway, Guess who. At IP now and I see a few targets so the get 2 Kh-29T's and a 25ML for their troubles as soon as these are launched Gazehound tells me that an AAA is engaging him and can I get a visual on tracers. I reply that I can't but he explains where he is and I get a visual on 8 ground targets. First pass I take out 4 with Vikhrs and as I am on egress I hear an explosion, Ah there must be a SAM down there because no enemy aircraft were seen in the area. While dispatching the other 4 targets on the second pass another explosion is heard, again no enemy aircraft in area, gaze confirms this on TS. Then wham I'm hit with gunfire and with one engine lost I dump all remaining AG ordinance I start evasion manoeuvres and hunt for the enemy. Again no enemy is seen in area. Like WTF????? On my way back to base the mission rotates. Right I say lets check the Debrief to see who or what it was firing at me. Oh right at the same time I was engaged Pak fired 2 R-60 and 2 73's. So pretty pissed at this I types in the chat box. "Pak, did you engage an aircraft on an attack run?” "Missile and gun attack" was the reply. "Did you visually ID that the aircraft was enemy". "ID?" was the reply. "Yes identify the aircraft next time that was me you fired at". Just another night on the server :icon_lol:

I don't really see any reason why no-one can ask questions about mods on this site sixer. I myself have made a BW skin mod for my own squad, this was achieved because one of the Devs posted instructions on how to do it. -
The Kh-15 and Kh-23 series are coded in the game fully the only thing that is missing is that they are not on the loadout of any aircraft in the MeInit file. I have loaded the Kh-22M3 out with the Kh-15s (1 on each wing and 6 in the bomb bays) but I don't see the reason to loadout any aircraft with the Kh-23 series since any aircraft that carries these IRL can also carry the Kh-25 series, a more capable missile

Did you do a fresh install of Lock-on and FC when the patch was released? If so, Did you install the video pack again. Campaign videos are on my system and are working fine. -

I see no objections to the R-27EM on this thread, although this missile is the same as the ER but for use against low flying cruise missiles. I don't even know if the different seeker head is modeled in lock-on. The R-27AE, however is not in production, politics killed this missile off while in development.

Well I think we all can put this little fiasco behind us. Things can be posted with blind fury and lead to all sorts of bad things happening. Nice to see peeps making up. Also thanks to Alfa for keeping the thread open.
